Walnut Grove was wonderful - warm, inviting, beautifully decorated, and spotless.Ms. Jackie was such a gracious host. When I ran into issues with the reservation system, she personally went in and corrected the details to make sure everything matched what I was seeing. We arrived very late, and she had the doors unlocked with snacks and dog treats waiting for us - a thoughtful touch that meant so much after a long day of travel.Itâs clear she truly enjoys hosting and goes above and beyond to make her guests feel welcome. If youâre ever in the Knoxville area, I highly recommend Walnut Grove. Thank you, Ms. Jackie!
We had another GREAT stay at the Walnut Grove Guest House. My wife & I enjoy staying here because we can bring our dog along, stay at a place that is quiet and we only have to drive about 15 minutes to our son's apartment near the Univ. of Tennessee campus. The house has everything we need. The kitchen if fully stocked. Jaclyn, the hostess, leaves snacks for us and our dog when we stay. The fenced yard is excellent for letting the dog outside to roam around. When we are there we feel welcome and we feel like we are in a neighborhood in the hills. Within minutes of the house you have everything you need: gas, restaurants, etc... Jaclyn knew we were coming into town to catch a Vols football game and made sure to have Vols decorations on the front porch for us. We thought that was a very nice touch. We will continue to stay at this house as long as our son lives in the area.
My wife & I stayed at this house for a long Easter weekend while visiting our son at the University of Tennessee. We were 20 minutes from his apartment near campus and the drive to and from this house to campus was simple. The house was perfect for us and our dog. The kitchen has everything one would need. The property is great for walking our dog and sitting outside in the yard enjoying the views. Jaclyn could not have been easier with which to work. We plan to be back!
This Mountain Cottage is absolutely beautiful. Communication was outstanding, the place is spotlessly clean, the kitchen is incredibly well appointed with some seriously high quality tools, the furniture is also high quality and beautiful. The bed last night was incredibly comfortable! This is an absolute 10 out of 10. Also, the views are *stunning* and the little fenced-in yard is adorable. Honestly, I'm absolutely amazed and delighted and we will definitely be back to this place
We stayed at this adorable cottage while visiting UT for grad school. It was only 15 minutes away to campus. The cottage was super clean and had everything we needed! It was decorated really cute and it felt like we were staying in a cute fairy tale cottage. Owner was super kind and helpful too!! Highly recommend!!
We had a wonderful stay! The home is stocked with everything you could possibly need, a long with sweet extras you donât usually see at VRBOâs. Great communication with the owner. Very friendly and accommodating. My son is already asking to visit again! Beautiful Mountain Viewâs as well. Thank you for being so gracious and having us.
We so enjoyed our one night in the cottage! The owner was precious and kind, and went to great lengths to make us feel at home. The special touches throughout the cottage were enjoyed and appreciated. Even the doggy treats were a surprise and so thoughtful. We highly recommend a stay at this property!
The house is adorable, property beautiful, scenery is awesome view of the mountains fantastic. The host is very friendly and helpful. The house is very clean. You can drive to any place to see sights âŠ.are about 45 minutes from Dollywood, 40 minutes from Knoxville. If you are a birderâŠyou will see plenty of birds just sitting outside.
This was our second stay and highly recommend Walnut Grove Guesthouse. This charming two bedroom house is perfect for our visits to Knoxville. Located nea
Jaclyn's property is an absolute gem. From the moment we stepped inside, it was evident that every detail was meticulously planned to create a warm and inviting atmosphere that truly felt like home. The breathtaking mountain view only added to the enchantment of the place, providing a serene backdrop to our stay.
One of the standout aspects of our experience was the impeccable cleanliness of the property. It was clear that Jaclyn goes above and beyond to maintain a spotless environment, ensuring that guests feel comfortable and cared for throughout their stay. Her dedication to cleanliness truly sets this property apart.
We were so impressed with our time here that we wouldn't hesitate to book again if we find ourselves in the area. Jaclyn's property offers not only a beautiful setting but also a level of hospitality and attention to detail that is truly commendable. It's a rare find, and we feel fortunate to have experienced it firsthand.
My husband, our mini-schnauzer and I stayed at this lovely little cottage in early April. It is spotlessly clean, and well stocked, including with treats for our pup! Jackie is a wonderful host. The views from the cottage are beautiful. The bathroom is small, but Jackie has maximized the space and it wasn't a problem for us. The kitchen is well stocked and as we prefer to cook when we travel, we found everything we needed to prepare our meals. Overall, I would highly recommend, and we definitely plan to return.
This is the second time staying here as one of our stop overs heading back to Michigan from Florida. Jaclyn is so thoughtful and helpful. The guest house is adorable and very cozy. Jaclyn provides so many nice touches, like dog treats and snacks for guests. And the view from their property is stunning! Highly recommend.
We enjoyed the extra attention to detail our host, Jackie! She had dog treats, paws towel, and personal greeting to our family. She accommodated our requests graciously!
Perfect location, close to campus but far enough to be out of the crowd. Jaclyn provided everything and more that we could have needed for our weekend!
I must say this was a nice cozy stay. The owner was extremely friendly and lives on site should you have any concerns or issues. The Cozy Cottage was extremely clean, rooms were cozy and a kitchen should you want to prepare a meal. The bathroom is on the smaller side should you have mobility issues. We were fine, it suited our needs. There was a fenced in yard so that we could let the fur babies out to do their business. I would recommend should you be in the area. Will definitely keep this one in mind if and when I return to the area!!
I am a wife to a wonderful husband, and a mother to 2 beautiful children that keep me on my toes every moment of the day! We work hard so we can play hard! We are an easy-going family and enjoy the simple things in life, like going to the lake, or playing outside in the yard. We love wine, cooking, football (Go VOLS!!!) and entertaining with/for our family and friends. We found our "forever" home in beautiful, historic Fountain City (Knoxville) and we are living happily ever after! Our "forever home" came with a guest house and we are excited to share it with our old and new family and friends!
