Step into a blend of historic elegance and modern comfort. Originally built in 1905, this home has been thoughtfully restored. It’s a unique getaway in a picturesque small-town setting.

• Primary Suite: A spacious king-sized bed, complete with a dedicated workspace featuring a 32” monitor, a 55” 4K Apple TV, and an ensuite bathroom with dual sinks, bathtub, and a Kohler rain shower.
• Bedroom 2: A queen bed, new closet system, and a comfortable chair in front of a vintage brick wall, perfect for unwinding with a good book.
• Bedroom 3: Two twin beds, a soft leather chair, new closet system, and a 55” 4K Apple TV.
• Bedroom 4 (1st floor): Conveniently located on the main level, features a queen bed with easy access to a nearby bathroom equipped with a beautiful shower.

• Living Room: Gather around the gas fireplace for a cozy evening, enjoy a game on the wooden carved chess set, attempt to complete our puzzles and board games, or watch your favorite shows on the 60” 4K Apple TV with Sonos sound system.

This house in downtown Grayslake is absolutely adorable. The finishes are so nice and the host was so thoughtful and responsive. My family thoroughly enjoyed the accommodations and location. It’s great that it has a downstairs bedroom and shower, which can be hard to find.

Wonderful property with everything you need and an excellent location. The wrap around porch was a great spot for morning coffee or an evening cocktail. Fully stocked kitchen with everything we needed - we easily had groceries delivered within 2 hours of arrival. Don't want to cook - no problem as the center of town is only a block away with several family friendly dining options and an adorable morning coffee spot.Would recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in the area.

Amazing historic home

Birthday weekend with extended family. The home had everything you need plus so many charming small touches. The location was perfect. Grayslake is such a great little town with many restaurants, shops, parks and walking paths. There is 1 bedroom downstairs which was great. But this is a historical home with historically accurate steep, narrow stairs to get to beautiful upstairs bedrooms.

Excellent host

I can't say enough good things about this experience. First, a personal note with local sweets welcomed us. They had everything available if we forgot anything from toothbrushes, floss, q-tips and makeup remover wipes, and little sample spa kits were with the towels. Also had cooking oil and spices, paper towels and paper plates. Laundry detergent and fabric softener was there for our use. Home was absolutely beautiful and host was very accommodating with everything. Restaurants were within walking distance. Highly recommend this home.

Our family travels a lot and has stayed in dozens of rentals over the years, but this home was THE BEST! As stated in previous reviews, the house is immaculate and very tastefully decorated. The thoughtful touches were indeed appreciated; welcome note and treats, beautiful toiletries and towels wrapped in ribbon on each bed, extra items in bathroom vanities, umbrellas (which we needed), well-stocked kitchen. . . I could go on and on. All furniture, lighting, appliances, linens were top notch (my daughter even chose to leave her own pillow in the car). Our littles enjoyed playing the board games and everyone had a shot at the PAC-man arcade game. The sound system was amazing and made movie viewing a pleasure. Everything was perfect! Thank you, Jeff, for offering this beautiful home for our family to use.

Gorgeous Home/Wonderful Stay

I cannot say enough great things about this home and the experience we had staying here while celebrating my son’s Navy Boot Camp graduation in Grayslake, Illinois. From the moment we walked in, we were blown away by how immaculate and beautiful the home was. It’s the perfect mix of Victorian charm and modern decor, with top-of-the-line touches throughout. The showers? Incredible. I’m very particular about my showers, and these were some of the best—great water pressure, hot water, and just what I needed after long days of celebration. The house was fully stocked with everything we could need, from laundry supplies to kitchen essentials, which made it easy for us to come together as a family for meals and downtime. It also included smart TVs with all of the apps needed to enjoy family movie night. The owner, Jeff, was exceptional. He communicated so well and went above and beyond by checking in with us on the first night to make sure we were comfortable and had a good night’s sleep. That thoughtfulness and care meant so much. This home is truly a gem, and I would highly recommend it to anyone. It’s clear Jeff takes pride in creating a welcoming and high-quality experience for his guests. Five stars, no question.
