Sandpiper d'expérience, notre nouvelle maison, un petit bijou joliment décorées dans le Sud-Mer! Situé sur les rives de la rivière, près du centre-ville avec une grande cour dans un quartier calme, près de la plage. Profitez de la cuisine dans la cuisine gastronomique avec des comptoirs en granit, des planchers de bois franc, un bar à vin, une cheminée et des appareils en acier inoxydable. Entrez long séjour de 35 pieds avec trois canapés en cuir, et choisir de poursuivre l'activité. Lire votre livre préféré, recroquevillé près de la cheminée ou de jouer l'un des jeux de société que nous offrons. Regarder un film sur l'écran plat de 40 pouces et de profiter du son surround. Les chambres sont spacieuses avec de nouveaux lits queen-size Englander, un édredon et draps égyptiens offrent une nuit de sommeil. Le décor magnifique sera tout au long de plaire à ceux avec même les goûts les plus distingués. Ceci est le cadre idéal pour se détendre en famille et entre amis.

Family Christmas

The place is beautifully decorated and spacious. We were able to entertain family from out of state, having more than enough room to visit, cook and eat together. The house is in a quiet neighborhood, has a huge backyard yet was located so that getting around was easy enough. Would love to come back in future.

Beautiful and comfortable home

Home was beautiful and comfortable for all 6 of us kitchen/bathrooms were well stocked with all incidentals thought of if we would have forgotten a toothbrush the owners had us covered. We had a wonderful time and will be back next time

Beautiful Welcoming Property

Absolutely loved staying in this home. The amenities and extra touches were welcoming. You can tell that the owners want you to have a good stay. My 3 grown daughters and I schedule an annual "girl's trip" and we all agreed that this is our all time favorite stay.

LOVED IT!!

Can't think of a single thing we didn't like about this home. Just add food, drink and logs for the fire pit and you have it all! Totally enjoyed our stay.

Plenty of Space for the Whole Family

Joan and Eric are amazing hosts. The house is clean, roomy, and the kitchen was amazing to cook in. The neighborhood was quiet. The house is right next to the river which was pretty. The beds were so comfy I didn't want to leave. I will definitely be back!

Great for Families

This was our second stay at this convenient and comfortable home. Just the right amount of space for the 2 kids and 4 adults, and the back yard is just perfect to run around, have a fire, relax any time. The beach is quite close and walkable for the young and old. Terrific place and responsive, friendly and courteous hosts. Highly recommend.

Family beach trip

We had a wonderful time! We appreciated the very comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen, large backyard, and toys and activities in the garage. My daughter's family stayed with us and there were many items for her 4 and 1 year olds. The only thing missing was a high chair. We would definitely stay here again.

Amazing beach getaway

Pictures never do justice like in real life. Our family was very surprised with property. This lovely home was very welcoming with snack on the counter when arrived and so many extras that were included for us to use. We had so much fun while at the beach but we also could not wait to get back and relax outside with an amazing backyard with a fire pit. Our little dog had so much room to run around too. This place will definitely be on our to do list again. Amazing! Amazing!

Comfortable home with everything you need!

Our group really enjoyed this home! The beds are quite comfortable and the house is packed with items you might need for cooking, personal grooming, trip to the beach and entertainment! A couple of examples of helpful items were the two bikes and the drying rack. The house is really nice and has plenty of seating in the living room and at the dining table. Seaside is a wonderful location and I would highly recommend this house for a group of up to nine people!

Family trip to Seaside

The house was nicely decorated, very comfy beds, easy to cook in & the washer/dryer worked great! It's a short stroll to beach & off the beaten path, right on the river. The owners were very quick to respond to minor issues. The yard is not fenced, which we did not realize from the photos. For anyone not familiar with the area....it's beautiful and very family friendly. A quick drive from the house to explore multiple beaches & hiking trails. We will be back for sure!

Great home

This was a great place for our little family. The fire pit in the backyard was fun. We did s’mores and enjoyed the quiet evenings by a fire. It’s a short walk to the beach which my husband and I did every morning. The pots and pans were very warped and difficult to cook in and some of the cooking utensils were dirty like they were used and then put right back in the draw. This was minor things though. I could see us staying here again!

Great place to stay!

The home is spacious, clean, and a short walk to the beach, and a quick drive to town. We had a great time and will definitely stay here again if we have a larger group of people. We were all very comfortable. We spent every evening around the fire pit which was such a nice cozy addition. One thing I want to add for the people that stated they had difficulty with the television; is that there isn’t regular TV, so you just have to pick one of the MANY available services. For instance: go to PrimeVideo then pick their “guest account.” It’s as easy as that!! They explain to pick a service in their instructions, but maybe people thought they’d need an account of their own and didn’t even try it?? Not sure, but it was super simple.

Stunning it's not, and you call that a river?

This property was advertised as Cannon Beach but is actually in Seaside. If you like Seaside better than Cannon Beach, which i obviously don't, go for it! the walk is easy from the house to the promenade along the ocean. The house is very basic, and the beds are comfortable. The river looks like part of the town's water sanitation service, in other words, nothing special. The living room is narrow and there are no windows to open in that area so don't start a fire in the fireplace (no, wood isn't provided but as the owner's will tell you, can be purchased anywhere in town). Before arriving, I got numerous emails warning me to follow the rental agreement, emphasizing no parties and only people who were included on rental could be there, showing an upfront lack of trust. I had signed the rental agreement when I rented the place. I would not rent this home again.

People pay for a cleaning service for a reason

When you rent a rental house and pay the cleaning deposit, you hope the cleaning company is doing it. Personally, I am not sure this one is doing their job. We found hair on the pillow cases; I don't think they were cleaned so we used towels to cover the cases (which then we spent all weekend washing towels), the dishes were not cleaned so before using all of them we ran them through the dishwasher, there was clogs of hair that we had to pull out of the bathtub in order to give my child a bath (cos you stopped the water from draining the hair would float up), and their were spider webs all over the main bathroom. I think the house was laid out nicely and offered a lot of amenities that others don't. It was close to the beach and play ground which is a must for couples with small children. And the decor was cozy. I would stay here again or refer it to friends/family only if I knew the cleaning service was doing their job. I don't go on vacation to wash EVERYTHING before using, and that's what I had to do at this house.

Out of the many homes we've stayed in while in the Northwest, this property stands out.

The size was perfect for our family gathering. The kitchen met all our needs; the living area arrangement couldn’t be more conducive for our large group; the beds were soooo comfy after a long day at the beach; we had plenty of hot water for showers. We were sorry the weather didn’t cooperate for time around the fire pit or to grill outside, but we did spy three otters and a beaver each morning near the river at the edge of the property. We spent many laughter-filled hours around the kitchen table playing board games and reconnecting after being apart for a year. Our hope that we would have uninterrupted time with our Peace Corps grandson and his wife was fully satisfied! A short walk took us to the beach; town was also within walking distance - about a mile away from the heart of town. While the highway can be congested, taking a back route to Safeway for groceries or just avoiding the drag during the day worked just fine. With the home being on the south end of town, our trips into Cannon Beach, Hug Point, and other seaside beaches down the coast meant we didn't have to sit in traffic during busy hours. The owners gave us a quick call to make sure everything was up to par and to let us know they'd drop by to take care of watering and trash pic-up, but we never saw them. Our privacy was respected.

Eric and Joan own and manage Sand Piper. They both teach college classes part time, being semi-retired. Both consider themselves life long educators and enjoy the change of pace that managing vacation homes brings. The wonderful people they meet through their rentals and introducing guests to their favorite place are two or their favorite aspects.

This home is beautiful with a newly painted and remodeled interior, new furnishings, and a great location. We love the fireplaces, the river view, and the outside shelter with fire pit. It is.an easy walk to the prom and beach and the quiet neighborhood adds to a restful stay.

The very large living room is beneficial for large groups to gather, the quartz counter tops with wine bar, the deck facing the river, and the fire pit located in a large yard are great assets that all guests can enjoy. A pair of bikes provided for biking and a ping pong table give guests additional options.
