This unique straw bale home sleeps 6 adults and 2 children comfortably with 2 living areas, a fully equipped kitchen, and 2 full baths—including a step-free master shower. Enjoy peaceful outdoor spaces, a shady treed setting, and your own small private lake. Family- and dog-friendly!

Consider this house your home away from home. The location allows for convenient access to surrounding lakes, wedding venues and historic downtown Bonham while offering a spacious, comfortable setting for families, couples or friends who want a secluded place to enjoy themselves.

In addition to a king bed in each of the two bedrooms, one couch in the sunroom provides a queen size pull out sleeper sofa bed. There is plenty of space in the bedrooms if you prefer an air mattress for children. (Two twin air mattresses or a portable playpen are available upon advanced request)

There is seating for 6 at the table and 3 at an island. A fully equipped kitchen with all the cooking essentials one might need. Fully stocked cabinets and drawers with silverware, plates, bowls and platters etc. for a set table. Some plastic and paper products are also provided.

The kitchen / dining room are contained in one large space.

A regular coffee pot and Keurig are located in the kitchen for your coffee needs. Starter coffee, creamer, and sugars / sweeteners are provided. Full size refrigerator, freezer and icemaker are located in the kitchen.

Large deck faces our lake and has access from the driveway or through the sunroom. Lights are strung around the deck so you can enjoy an evening outside. If you prefer a dark night sky, we have a view for you. Additional outdoor seating space is located near the carport and grill and also a small seating area outside the master bathroom door.

Internet is available. WiFi streaming on two TVs with Roku. Bring passwords for additional streaming. HDMI cables available for both TVS. Reading material and games are located on shelves in the dining area and in the sunroom.

Plenty of parking for your boat if you have come to the area to enjoy one of the lakes. Ample area available to maneuver a truck and boat trailer. Lite fishing is allowed. Please catch and release.

If you are traveling with a dog(s), we have a fenced in country dog yard for your use. Plenty of space to walk and exercise them. See pictures within listing.

We believe we have a unique setting for those interested in getting away from it all. Our home has some accessibility features such as walk in shower, grab bars located near toilets and master shower. Rooms and common areas are easy to access due to no thresholds and wide entryways.
