Retreat on a wooded lot within walking distance of downtown!
Property features granite counters, slate appliances, air conditioning, and all updated furniture in scenic Door County! Located within walking distance to marina, parks, and public beach. Sister Bay offers the best restaurants, beer gardens, and nightlife on the peninsula! Or stay in to enjoy a private fire pit out back.
The house was very clean and cute. Easy to manage the heat. Very peaceful and quiet. Great location. We had a great time exploring the cute towns, Washington Island, and watching the stars at Newport Park.
We had a wonderful stay at this charming cottage with our two kids! The location couldnât be better â just a short walk to downtown Sister Bay for breakfast, shopping, and the beach. The cottage was spotless and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed (and even things we didnât realize weâd want!) â from beach towels to marshmallow sticks for evening sâmores. Check-in and check-out were seamless, and the hostâs communication was excellent. This was the perfect spot for an October weekend, and weâre already planning to return!
Perfect location to walk/bike to the main part of Sister Bay, clean and cozy with everything you would need. The backyard and patio furniture are perfect. We had many meals outside and nights by the fire.
Great property and close (walking distance) to so many things! I've stayed here several times and always come back. The host very responsive and always kind. The home is very clean and nicely updated. Great kitchenware for cooking.
Charming Door County cottage with modern touches. Easy walk to Sister Bay restaurants and shops, but on a quiet street. Hosts were in contact and responsive. Great directions and check in/out info.
We had a wonderful stay at the cabin! It was very cute and very clean. It is very updated inside with a modern full kitchen. The street is very quiet and it was a short walk to downtown for restaurants, shopping and sunset viewing. The property owner was very quick to respond to any questions that I had. We will definitely consider staying here again on future visits.
This cottage is absolutely amazing. Well kept up and modern and very close (but out of the way) of town. I often walked to get to the Bay Area and town. I would recommend this cottage to anyone.
We loved the property! It was just a couple blocks off of the downtown strip and the water, but very quiet and had a real cottage feel with great updates. Really the best of both worlds because it was close to everything, but the little backyard was private and had a woodsy feel but close to lots of great places.
For me this stay it was perfect location - choice of spots to watch the game, eat and meet friends for cherry drop (look it up), all 5 minutes walking at most. The cottage was cleaned professionally, well outfitted and kept up.
We enjoyed our stay in Sister Bay at this small home. I think we took advantage of everything it had to offer. We enjoyed the bikes from the shed in back, the grill, the outdoor tables and chairs, and the fire pit with plentiful wood. We also cooked a few simple meals there and of course coffee in the mornings.
Easy walk or bike ride to Sister Bay offerings like restaurants, boats or beach.
Updates in the kitchen were apparent and while we cooked a few meals, this is not a gourmet kitchen. Just plan for simple stuff.
Laundry came in handy too.
Owner Mathew was always responsive.
This was an absolutely perfect rental for a small/young family! Amazing location and they really thought of everything. Extra towels and pillows and even a pack n play! Would definitely stay again!
We had a wonderful stay at Matthew's place. The location is perfect, just a hop skip jump from the lake and downtown sister bay. We really enjoyed being close enough to everything but just off the main drag so we could have privacy and quiet when needed.
Everything was as described! We were comfortable with the amenities and new AC system. We easily had a bonfire one evening as well!
We will most definitely consider using Matthew's place for our next Door County trip.
Born and raised in Sister Bay, I moved out to Minneapolis for college at the University of Minnesota. Upon graduation, I found a home and stayed in the Twin Cities. I enjoy outdoor activities like boating, snowboarding, and traveling with my family!
This home was build almost 50 years ago for my Great Grandma and has since been rented out by my grandparents in the summer to families and summer visitors. When the opportunity to own our little piece of Door County arose, we were so excited. We love vising family in the summer and enjoying all the parks, beaches, and wonderful things to do in Sister Bay.
Private fire pit and bike or walk to downtown Sister Bay. Nestled not far off the main road, it offers a peaceful setting in nature with the excellent access to the amenities of downtown. Enjoy shopping, restaurants, beer gardens, and plenty of night life!
