Casa Kalista offers the ideal balance of seclusion and convenience. The famous Mismaloya beach and resort are approximately a 15-minute walk away down a traditional cobblestone road, while downtown Puerto Vallarta is just 20 minutes by car or bus.

Casa Kalista is a unique, open-air tropical villa nestled into the Sierra Madre hillside. The surrounding jungle is part of what makes the experience so special—and guests should expect an authentic connection with nature.

Because of the villa’s hillside location, there are stairs throughout the property, and Casa Kalista is not suitable for guests who have difficulty navigating stairs or for wheelchairs or strollers.

Several areas of the home are designed with an open-air concept, allowing you to experience the sights and sounds of the surrounding jungle. The villa is not a sealed, traditional hotel-style property, so occasional you will be close with nature! Our staff takes appropriate measures to help keep the home comfortable and secure, but guests who prefer a completely enclosed environment may be more comfortable in a conventional resort or hotel. The bedrooms have air conditioners and sliding doors that can be closed.

The road to Mismaloya Beach is steep and cobblestone. While the beach is close by, for guests with young children or mobility concerns we recommend driving rather than walking. Cabs are readily available.
