Lofts/beds were very dusty. Had to spend time dusting the ceiling and putting all the bedding back through the dryer before bed the first night. Gave my kids a cough after the first night. The lofts were super fun, the downstairs was clean. Just the dust was out of control. Loved the screened in porch.
Nice cabin that sleeps 6 comfortably. Quiet relaxing setting. Clean on arrival. Peaceful walking trail down to the lake. We enjoyed our stay while we visited Fall Creek Falls State Park.
This cabin is one of several in a group called the "Cumberland Plateau Retreat." It was comfortable, well-equipped, and convenient to Fall Creek Falls State Park, which I visited during this trip. Because of the cold temperatures, (43 degrees or lower), the well-kept screened porch and outdoor seating were not as useful as they would be under better weather conditions.
The cabin was super clean and we instantly felt comfortable. The kids enjoyed the lofts a lot ! When you step out back you are in nature . Walked the trails with Family dog several times a day . So quiet and beautiful!
Everyone enjoyed the campfire which was ready to be lit , prepared by property management.Thank you ! Overall just perfect . Cabin had all necessary things needed to have the get away we needed.
Very nice, comfortable cabins tucked away on the Cumberland Plateau just a few miles from Fall Creek Falls TN State Park. I have stayed here several times while working in the area and I always love it. Will plan to return again soon.
The cabin itself is very small and feels like "grandma's house" with the older quilts and towels and such. The water heater will only stay hot for 1 shower, so we were glad it was only us 2, but we had to wait to allow it to heat back up. The outdoor atmosphere is beautiful and we will definitely go again and stay at one of the bigger cabins next time.
We enjoyed our stay here in the Twin Oaks cabin. It was stocked with everything we needed. The kids enjoyed having their own lofts! We liked walking to the pond and having our own firepit with wood provided. It was a perfect fit for us.
Second time I've stayed here and it has been fantastic both times. I come through the area for field work in remote locations and these cabins are a great place to stay. Easy to get settled in, cook dinner and breakfast, and take off for another day of exploring. Highly recommended!
I have stayed here before and I always keep coming back. Itâs located so close to the Falls and is always clean and the owner is very responsive to any requests or concerns. I will be back!
The area was relaxing and quiet. The cabin was cozy. It could use a good deep clean but was not dirty. It was little things like baseboards and dog hair in the carpet. Overall it was very enjoyable.
The cabin was the perfect space for my husband, myself, and our dog! It was close to many hiking trails and the state parks which was great for our plans. It was well maintained and the property is gorgeous! Definitely bring some bug spray with you as you are in in the woods - even in and around the cabin the bugs will find a way to get to you! Overall we loved it and would love to come back with a larger group of people!
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Couldnât use my Rollater inside b/c rooms were too small to maneuver, but I did okay; pictures represent the property correctly. Sheryl was very kind and pleasant to chat with, and Hostess Sunny was just a little ball of fluffy love!
Me and my family went for a quick weekend getaway and we enjoyed every minute! It really is a perfect little cabin in the woods.
We particularly loved the firepit and swings. My kids thought the lofts were too cool! Such a beautiful peace of property. Jim and the property managers were so kind and helpful. We would love to go back again
We absolutely loved this cabin! Cheryl and Jim were so easy to work with. We were greeted by the property cat Sunny upon our arrival, and the boys enjoyed playing with her. This cabin was perfect for our family of 5. It was peaceful and in a great location. Highly recommend and will definitely return.
Retired in 2004, I needed something to do to occupy my time. Since originally being from TN, and owning several acres on the Cumberland Plateau, it seemed only natural that I would eventually return to my home state. Renting vacation cabins came purely as a coincidence after buying out an ol' Navy buddy and winding up with more cabins than I could use. Since I enjoy meeting and talking to different people, this seemed to be a perfect fit for that passion.
I bought this property several years ago after passing through the area on trips to my mom's place in KY. Since the Cumberland Plateau area offered such serenity and beauty it seemed only natural that I would wind up owning property here.
The quiet and beauty of this area is what attracted us here in the first place. To be able to actually own property here on the Cumberland Plateau and be able to enjoy its beauty year round is a true blessing.
