Casa Viga Grande (The House-with-the-Massive-Beams) est niché dans un quartier historique et calme au-dessus de Canyon Road - le prestigieux quartier d'art et de galerie de Santa Fe. Les rues étroites et sinueuses rappellent la vieille Europe.

Cette Casa de style sud-ouest climatisée de 1600 pieds carrés offre toutes les commodités et le charme de Santa Fe contemporaine. L'espace des plafonds hauts et massifs en poutres viga offre un contrepoint aux riches détails de la décoration. Partout, des œuvres d'art originales et des objets façonnés judicieusement placés rencontrent l'œil.

Un aspect particulièrement attrayant de Viga Grande est la disposition. Deux suites de chambres complètement séparées et spacieuses ont chacune leur propre salle de bain carrelée en pierre. En tant que tel, deux couples trouvent que l'équivalence entre les suites est attrayante. Alors qu'une suite est plus spacieuse à l'intérieur; l'autre s'ouvre sur son propre patio privé.

La cuisine bien aménagée comprend des appareils ultramodernes; doubles portes françaises unissent la salle à manger avec un deuxième patio très privé et un jardin fermé.

Les deux salles de bains sont belles et modernes, avec des carreaux et des accessoires haut de gamme. La salle de bain principale a deux lavabos, une douche à double tête séparée et une grande baignoire de style jacuzzi.

Une allée de briques de musée accueille les clients lorsqu'ils entrent dans la propriété - qui est pratiquement cachée derrière une porte en fer forgé à la main. Il y a un parking hors voirie pour deux à trois véhicules.

Une fois dans le célèbre quartier des galeries de Canyon Road à Santa Fe, les 3 minutes en voiture (ou 15 minutes à pied) de la Viga Grande commencent en suivant la voie navigable Acequia Madre historiquement émouvante et nourrissante (affectueusement appelée par les habitants `` The Mother Ditch '') et puis en montant à travers certains des quartiers résidentiels les plus charmants de Santa Fe.

Une navette gratuite est également disponible sur Canyon Road, ce qui permet d'explorer facilement de nombreux autres endroits à Santa Fe - y compris le Rail Yard District.

We had a lovely stay here! The home was very well appointed, the furnishings were very nice and comfortable. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful, but still close to downtown Santa Fe. We would love to return!

Wonderful, Traditional Santa Fe Home

We were in Santa Fe to visit our family who live on the Eastside. This property was perfect for my husband and I traveling with our adult daughter. The home is also conveniently located for tourists as it is within walking distance of Museum Hill and the Canyon Rd. gallery and arts district. The home is clean, thoughtfully layed-out, and well appointed. We found it has several comfortable areas to relax and enjoy the lovely Santa Fe atmosphere, both inside and outside the home. It seems ideal for either a short- or much longer-term visit. We will not hesitate to return to this guest house if we are ever lucky enough to find it available again!

Great 2 BR home in Santa Fe

We really enjoyed our stay at this pretty 2 BR/BA home just outside of downtown Santa Fe. It was very spacious and well equipped with the items we needed. Check-in and check-out procedures were easy. Clear instructions for wifi and a/c units. Definitely would return to stay here. We were about 8 minutes drive time to La Fonda and easy parking.

quiet get away

I found the property manager very helpful, He was very responsive and accommodating to our needs. Great communication.The home itself was very charming, and well equipped. However, for relaxing around the fire and tv, a larger couch would have been more comfortable. Maybe one full couch and then a love seat. In addition, I appreciate the need to be careful with towels and water usage, but there was only one towel per person. Not ideal for someone with long hair. On a positive note, the beds were very comfortable!I found the location to be a bit closed in. It is an easy walk down the hill to town, but t is located at the end of a very narrow, tight street, tucked way in and has no views at all. My fault as I did not google earth it in advance.I would probably not stay here again, but only due to its location at the end of the street. It made me feel claustrophobic.Thank you.

Favorite Santa Fe home away from home

We have been renting this property each year for the past ten years. Richard is a marvelous property manager and we love the house and location. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to walk to Canyon Road and the Plaza. It's perfect.

Lovely Visit

Clean, Quiet, beautifully decorated and well appointed. We have been visiting Santa Fe for several years so we are very familiar with the weather and this year was a bit of an exception, however the water ruts on Camino sin Nombre were so severe we could barely get through with our car which is not a four-wheel drive and the ankle-deep mud pool in front of the driveway gate was a show stopper. You cannot leave the property on foot without boots. We plan to return to Santa Fe next year but perhaps a different location.

Secluded beautiful quiet casita

Stayed here with my mother for a long weekend. Everything was lovely: the kitchen was well appointed, rooms were clean with beautiful local art, and the garden was just starting to bloom. The place had everything we needed and was delightfully quiet in the evenings. Close to everything we wanted to do. Great communication from the hosts! We would 100% stay here again the next time we come to Santa Fe.

Our long time go-to home in Santa Fe

This Beautiful secluded home in the quaint historic east side on a hill above Canyon Road, it has lovely furnishings, accessories, and original art. We and our friends have stayed here several times. Overall, the place is clean, with the exception of finding lots of dead bugs around the exterior doors and window sills, which we had to remove. The home was obviously cleaned, but probably not recently checked before our arrival. Each time that we have stayed in this home, we wanted to use the outdoor gas fire pit on the beautiful private patio, but have been disappointed every time that it was not working. We trust that the owner will attend to our suggestions, as we always look forward to making Casa Viga Grande our place to stay on our next trip to Santa Fe.

Thank you for a lovely stay!

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at Casa Viga after the VRBO we originally booked had an issue that left it inhabitable. After all the stress, it was great to stay in a comfortable and worry free environment. Location is close to all that Santa Fe has to offer and we spent a few cozy nights in front of the fireplace. Richard went the extra mile and was able to move up our check in time due to our situation. Would definitely stay here again in warmer weather to enjoy the fire pit and outdoor areas. Thank you - it was a great place to ring in the new year!

Sisters week long stay

The house was very comfortable to settle into. We could spread out or be together. Easy to use tv, kitchen appliances, showers. Well equipped. Great location, we did not enjoy the spacious outdoor settings as we went to several places in the area where we checked out the lovely New Mexico landscape, like Jemez Springs and Ghost Ranch.

Charming home, just blocks from Canyon Road

Our group of two couples truly enjoyed our stay at this historic property, situated between Canyon Road and Museum Hill. The home was beautifully decorated, updated and well equipped with things like a six burner Wolf range, beautiful riginal artwork and lighting. We enjoyed the small seating area outside, with BBQ, firepit, and the like. We highly recommend it.

Lovely and peaceful house

Beautiful house that's perfect for two couples. House has everything you need and we especially appreciated the outside sitting areas. Close to the Canyon Rd. galleries, but some steep hills on the walk, so we didn't walk as much as planned with the heat of August. Would definitely recommend highly to others!

An idyllic stay at Casa Contemporary

Overall very good, with excellent communication with the property manager. The only areas that need improvement are (1) the laundry area has a persistent moldy smell, also the gaskets need to be replaced on the washer and dryer. (2) brighter light in the living and dining room would make playing games much easier, and it is needed above the master bathroom sink as well.
