Certainly! Here's a more concise version of the review:---Perfect Provincetown Getaway! We had a magical birthday celebration at this fantastic Provincetown home! The porch was ideal for relaxing, the location was unbeatableâclose to everything yet peacefulâand the sun deck off the primary bedroom made each morning feel like a dream. The upscale showers added a touch of luxury, and the super-comfy couch was perfect for winding down. Every detail was just right. Canât wait to return!
We loved our stay and loved being able to hang out on the front porch and socialize. Itâs also quiet inside even though itâs close to the street. This is a great property and everyone was happy with their room and the bathrooms. The location couldnât have been better.
What a great place to hang out with your friends. The house is a throwback to the Maritime days with beautiful modern updates. A well-appointed kitchen, large dining room table to enjoy meals in and a huge comfortable living room to gather in. Kevin and Alex were great host, very responsive to all of our needs. And you couldn't ask for a better location; from one end of Commercial St to the other it's all walkable from the house. But honestly my best memory of the trip is the Porch! From quiet Coffee in the morning, to cocktails in the evening and all the people watch throughout the day - it really is the Best Porch in P-town.
I was looking for a place for the weekend to celebrate my birthday with friends and this turned out to be the perfect house for it. It is a very well thought out rental property. The large kitchen was perfectly supplied for all one needs to throw a big dinner party as well as a waffle iron for Sunday brunch. The Porch certainly lived up to its reputation as being the best Porch in Ptown, people watching was awesome! You were front and center for the parade of people passing by. And when we weren't on the porch, we were out on the balcony of the large master bedroom enjoying the beautiful view of the harbor. The house is large and spacious with many comfortable bedrooms but I can only confirm that the master bedroom was. There is a full kitchen on the lower level but we didn't need that as everyone wanted to be on the main level. The outside temperature was hot and returning from the beach it was great to be able to come back to a comfortable air-conditioned home, not to mention being able to take an outdoor shower. The house was clean and neat and Kevin was great to deal with. It is in a great location (Boatslip is close by and the Monkey Bar is next door and perfect for the last martini of the night). I (we) would definitely return, hopefully for next years birthday.
As advertised. A 10! Best house for porch socializing.
P-Town is a magical place and this is an ideal property with every necessary amenity to have an easy and unforgettable trip. We were here for an event with about 1000 folks attending, most days we sat on the porch and had people stopping, one after another, or in groups, to talk. In the evenings we sat on the porch and waived goodnight to everyone we knew or met that day. It was understood by us immediately that this was the dream house for our social group. I had never rented a house to share so this process was all new to me, the owners were helpful and quickly responded with answers to any questions which made the stay effortless for a person like me to organize, enjoy, and execute.
From beginning to end it was just the getaway we were looking for. The house is beautiful and in the best location. The hosts were very much in touch and made us feel at home the entire time. Will book again!
I can't think of a better place to stay in town. The whole house is well-appointed and adorable, but the porch is the highlight. Perfect for rocking and people watching and taking in the sights of this very special place. We would absolutely book again. A perfect stay for our group of 8.
Close to the Boatslip; great porch for people watching; generous areas for socializing and dining. Definitely a prime location for enjoying everything Ptown has to offer.
We loved our time at this property, it's location is perfect for those wanting to be close to all Ptown has to offer. The house perfectly suited our needs. We will return another summer, I'm sure of it.
Everything, every step of the way was easy, quick, and effortless! And the porch is fabulous! It was a friendâs birthday weekend and it was the best time!
This property far exceeded expectations. The owners were attentive, professional, and incredibly friendly. Without a doubt, staying here played a huge part in our overall Provincetown experience this year -- phenomenal!
We stayed at this home for a week, and after years of staying in Ptown, it was hands down the best home we've stayed in. Centrally located with a beautiful big front porch, and a really comfortable, beautiful, clean home inside. Couldn't have been happier!
It was our 2nd year in a row staying in this lovely home. The home is very comfortable, clean and large enough for our party of 7 to not feel crowded. I would definitely recommend for people looking for accommodations in Provincetown.
Our group of friends have traveled around for many years making this our 4th stay in P-Town. In the past we have ventured further inland but this time we wanted a larger place closer to the main street and we got it!!! Could not have asked for a better property, location or hosts.
We enjoy the end of the season in P-Town to take advantage of the beautiful weather and ease of getting around! The house is great and we are looking forward to going back soon....
We had such an amazing time! Kevin was great about answering any questions prior to and during our stay. The house was immaculate and beautifully decorated; perfect for having a dinner party or a chill night with friends. We loved having breakfast out on the porch in the mornings (perfection for people watching). Can't beat the location! We will definitely be looking into renting this spot next summer.
What a great place!!!
I'm always hesitant to stay in a strange home but I was thrilled to see how clean and well maintained this place is! My family and I spent a weekend in this home and it was an amazing experience! The house is beautiful! Wonderfully decorated with all the amenities and spacious too! We had a large group and there was plenty of space - front porch where the action is or on the quieter back deck overlooking the beautiful beach. It is a great location and I'm already planning a return trip!
I finally got around to writing my review and just want to start by saying that I was appalled to see such a bad review on this rental, very very inaccurate and it actually made me upset. I completely agree with the first reviewer who posted. My family and I just ADORED this house! We had experienced a very sad time in our family and were in desperate need for a quick escape. We all packed up for a weekend (7 adults and a 6 month old baby) and retreated to Ptown. As soon as we entered this house, we all had big smiles and were immediately excited to be staying in such a beautiful home! With such an open bright living room and dining area, we could all comfortably be together. We could look out the enormous front windows and always see what was happening on Commercial Street. All the rooms were delightfully decorated and made you feel at home by the beach. We cooked many meals in the modern kitchen that worked out perfectly for our large group and baby. Bonus â there is even a second kitchen downstairs! Off of the kitchen on the main floor is a large bathroom complete with a steam shower. There are spacious rooms to sleep on all three floors. My husband, baby, and I stayed on the first floor. My parents were thrilled to sleep upstairs in the master room. My mother couldnât have been more happy to have a balcony right next to her bed complete with rocking chairs and a view of the ocean. They had their own bathroom upstairs as well. The rest of the family slept in the two rooms on the lower level where the second kitchen is. Again, another bathroom for them as well! And a third shower is even outside in the back. Every room was spotlessly clean (and I am a bit of a clean freak even). The house couldnât have been in a better location. We were constantly walking Commercial Street, shopping, eating, and enjoying the fresh air. The house even has beach access that is shared with nearby neighbors. Our absolute favorite part of this house was the front porch! From sipping coffee in the morning to sipping wine in the afternoon snacking on treats, we loved being on the porch. People strolling by would even stop for a little chat and admire the fantastic porch we were all enjoying. My family, who arrived sad and exhausted, left with rejuvenated spirits and warm hearts. We were grateful to be able to have such a wonderful time from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. A big thank you to the friendly owners for being a pleasure to work with!
The interior photos DO NOT REPRESENT the current conditions of the property. It is extremely dirty and we found infestations in the beds. Medical treatment had to be sought during our stay. Linens were not washed between occupants. We slept in dirty sheets and did not realize it. Bathrooms were filthy, kitchen was unsanitary, sofa was grimy and brown (look closely at their own posted couch photo). Comforters and mattresses had urine stains and bug carcasses on them and the padded bed frame was disgusting (note placement of afghans and pillows in their photos). We had to buy a blowup mattress and sleep on that. Floors were so dirty our feet were black. Spent two days washing all our clothing after infestation was discovered. Had to put everything in plastic bags for return home to avoid bugs coming home with us. DO NOT RENT THIS HOUSE! YOU WILL GET MORE THAN YOU BARGAINED FOR!
I've been staying in Provincetown for the 4th of July for about 7 years now and this year was by far the best! Centrally located at 151 Commercial St. this house has, as the owner calls it, "Best Porch in Ptown." I could not agree more. With Monkey bar next door and the Boatslip practically in the backyard I found it hard to want to leave the house! The people watching on the porch was second to none as everyone passing by on their way to/from tea dance or the bars would say hi, flirt, or even have a cocktail with us- and the porch is just the start! Inside was very cute, clean, and comfortable. There were 8 of us staying for the week and we had a few extra friends stay for the holiday weekend. There being three floors (Master room upstairs, bedroom off kitchen on first floor, and two in the basement) there was plenty of privacy ;). There was even a smaller "guest room," as I'll call it, in the basement as well so if you had extra guests they can have their own small area. This worked perfect for my friends and I! I was fortunate to stay in the master room which had a large open walk-in shower and even a private balcony which was ideal for a quiet morning or some afternoon reading. I usually miss my bed when I'm away from home, but after the first night sleep I didn't want to leave! The shower on the first floor was a perfect cure for a hangover if you had a late night on the town; it actually turns into a little steam room! (sweat it out, rinse, repeat). The kitchen had anything you would need for cooking or entertaining with a lovely dinner table in the living room under a cute copper whale hanging from the ceiling (sometimes it's the little things that can make you feel at peace). The basement had it's own kitchen and fridge (never worry about no ice!) with access to the backyard, grill, and an outdoor shower. YES, that's right an outdoor shower! This was perfect to rinse off after being at the beach if you're a clean freak and don't want sand tracking through the house (shared beach access next to house). Overall, I could not be happier with my stay. The owners are very friendly, the house was very clean, and the location impeccable. Well worth the money and I cannot wait to stay here again next year!!!
Owned by Scott and Kevin we both have other vacation homes in Provincetown and Aspen, Colorado. This unique historic home built in 1880 with a porch right on Commercial Street to view parades, pageants and processions. We want you to feel welcome and enjoy this beautiful town
This is one of the most recognized and unique properties just outside the busy zone of Commercial Street. Beautiful views of the harbor, beach access and a relaxing porch with wooden rockers to watch the comings and goings of Provincetown.
