Lorsque vous sortez sur votre balcon du deuxième étage, vos yeux sont immédiatement attirés par la mer scintillante qui traverse la rue. Écoutez le déferlement des vagues qui s’écoulent puis redescendez. Un rythme parfait et apaisant. Flip Flop est votre maison de vacances sur les banques extérieures. Il est idéalement situé au MP 6. 25, à Kill Devils Hills, à un jet de pierre de tous vos restaurants, boutiques, activités et commodités préférées. Avec 5 chambres, 5. 5 salles de bains et deux espaces de vie intérieurs séparés, ainsi que l’incroyable terrasse de la piscine, chacun pourra prétendre à sa place pour trouver quelques minutes seul!

Le design à l'envers du Flip Flop, avec son espace de vie au deuxième étage, vous permet de profiter de cette vue imprenable tout en vous baladant dans la grande salle spacieuse. Cet espace spacieux et agréable se sent encore plus grand grâce à ses hauts plafonds, à son atmosphère aérée et à sa décoration lumineuse et côtière. Quelques touches de couleurs inattendues sont un ajout amusant et séduisant!

Rassemblez le groupe autour du canapé d'angle pour une soirée cinéma. Ou peut-être juste pour rattraper le temps perdu dans les aventures de la journée! La cuisine spacieuse dispose de carrelage frais avec tous les appareils, ustensiles de cuisine et gadgets nécessaires pour créer un festin gastronomique pour le groupe. Ce festin peut ensuite être servi à la table à manger généreuse pour 10 personnes. Une suite King Master ainsi que la demi-salle de bain se trouvent à ce niveau.

Le premier niveau abrite 3 suites King Master. Le niveau du sol est l'endroit où beaucoup de plaisir se passe! Les requins du groupe apprécieront de flâner dans la salle de loisirs avec une table de billard. Cet espace comprend également un bar avec un grand réfrigérateur, une table de pub pour 2 et un canapé en coupe donnant sur une grande télévision à écran plat. Peut-être juste l'endroit idéal pour regarder ce grand match! Ce niveau comprend également une chambre avec deux ensembles de lits superposés et une salle de bain complète.

Et la terrasse de la piscine, ah oui. L'endroit où tout le monde s'amusera! Travaillez votre bronzage pendant que vous flottez dans l’eau fraîche scintillante Ou allongez-vous sur l'une des chaises longues tout en regardant le dernier best-seller. Il y a une pelouse assez grande pour lancer une balle ou même pratiquer votre yoga! Le bain à remous pouvant accueillir de 6 à 8 personnes est prêt à vous aider à dissiper votre stress dans son eau bouillonnante tandis que vous contemplez les étoiles sur les Banques extérieures et vous demandez pourquoi il y en a tant d'autres ici.

C'est facile - les étoiles brillent là où il y a le plus de magie.

Perfect little get away

Flip flop was the perfect little get away. Conveniently located to all kinds of entertainment and steps from the beach. Out only complaint was that the beds were a little too firm for our preferance but the house itself was perfect for ur family needs.

Great property…needs TLC

Overall, this is a nice property in a great location. The communication with the property management was excellent and they responded quickly to a few little issues that we were experiencing. The property is very nicely appointed and has just about everything you need included… The house is showing quite a bit of wear and tear, as expected with these homes, but with a little bit of TLC, it could easily be rated at 5 stars.

Making memories - great family times

The house was a perfect set-up. Easy walk to the beach. Nice time in the pool and hot tub when hanging at the house. Great property - highly recommended.

The house was nice as well as the beds. Cleanliness left a bit to be desired. The back yard was unkempt and could have been much nicer. The pool is much smaller than it appears in the photos but was in good working order.

Wonderful spot

Thank you for sharing your beautiful home. Our two families with teenage boys had a blast. The rooms were immaculate and spacious. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. The pool table got put to good use.Having a pool and hot tub were also a welcome addition. The location is perfect. The beach is across the where we could spend time swimming and having fun. Lots of fishing, just remember to get a license or you will be fined. Stores are a 3 minute drive so don't worry if you forget anything. A local restaurant is about 4 doors down. This home was everything we wanted and more.

Even though they said bring blankets, we assumed additional blankets and had to go buy some. Three of the toilets are leaking so it was inconvenient to turn them off for the night. the dryer vent obviously needs to be cleaned since it took 4-5 times running a 70 minute cycle to dry small loads of clothing no towels. The property is great but needs basic maintenance which would reduce their utility costs.We’d consider it again because it is roomy and having 4 en suite bathrooms is amazing!

Very cute house!

Adorable house with a nice decking on the front. Indoor decor is lovely. Nice to have the second seating area downstairs. Pool is very refreshing and I'm sure hot tub would be wonderful if not 98 degrees outdoors :) Backyard is perfect for corn hole and other family outdoor games!! A couple of suggestions would be to add some sort of gazebo or other sort of coverage by the pool area on the southern end concrete next to the fence. Also, a mirror (perhaps full length) in each bedroom would be helpful. We were concerned about your dining table but could not find placemats. Overall, very nice house and would recommend for single family or couple's getaway.

Dirty for the price

For the price of the property, the cleanliness of the unit were not up to par. There was a layer of dust on the furniture, the pool table was covered in caked sand, the pool had a yellow hue, bugs and spiderwebs were everywhere. Quite the disappointment, especially when we were told we could not check in early because the maintenance and cleaning team needed the time to get the unit clean after the last guests. Other than fresh towels, it almost seemed like that's all the property provided.

Very Disappointing

Problems with appliances, cleanliness, & roaches: First night when I went to sleep in the downstairs bunk room with my granddaughter, we found a huge live roach in bathroom. I decided to ignore it because it was in the shower, but then when she got in one of the bunkbeds, another huge roach started crawling up the wall alongside the bed. We left and had to sleep in an upstairs room. The next day we discovered four more huge dead roaches all over the floor in the downstairs room with the pool table. When we were putting all our food away, we found no bottom drawer in the refrigerator so we stacked our plastic boxes of lettuce on the bottom of the refrigerator. The next morning, all the lettuce was frozen. When we were in the middle of cooking Thanksgiving dinner, the element in the oven blew out and maintenance could not come until the next day, when he told us he'd not be able to replace it until Monday (we were leaving Sunday). So we had our food we'd planned to cook and no oven. We also found we had no towels at all in the kitchen, and our room towel packets had no wash clothes. And finally the bottoms of the shower curtains and the tub stoppers were very slimy and had not been cleaned in ages. So pretty house, beautiful area, but lots of problems. And frustrating because we asked for a partial refund, and were offered a very small amount considering the problems. (We've rented very large & luxurious homes at Thanksgiving for the last 20 years and this is the worst one we've ever stayed in.)

Love Flip Flop BUT

This was our second time there we love the house it's beautiful and was just what we needed as far as the number bedrooms and location. The only complaints this time are the house could have been cleaner (dirty floors) (beds not made properly) and no one never contacted us back about TV not working in downstairs bedroom. We would stay there again and hope that the complaint's we has this time get attention.

while the layout and location of this house is nice, there are many things needing improvement.

The kitchen and the family room are severely weathered. The condition shows a real careless attitude by the owners. The family room area while nice was so dirty and gross we had to put bed sheets on the sofa to sit on it. We saw tons of bugs and much was missing or broken. At the time of check in we noticed that one of the sliding doors was broken, the A/C was not working well and the place was not very clean. While the service team did dome over quick from Kees they simply put tape of the door and it was never repaired. The kitchen is falling apart. Also the stock of kitchen things seems like plenty, but its odd. You have 25 knifes, but 9 forks. Light switch for overhead light we found the last day as it was behind the coffee machine. Additionally the light and fan switch for the 2nd floor master front room were out side the room . All in all we found it ok. Needs a ton of reinvestment.

Adequate, but not amazing

This house was comfortable, but not great, for three moms and seven kids on a spring break trip. Basically, the house was not equipped for the number of people it is designed to accommodate. When we arrived we had to hand wash all the dishes as the dishes in the cupboards were dirty. The kitchen lacked basic amenities like drinking glasses (plenty of wine glasses and coffee cups, but nothing to drink water or milk from), spatulas, mixing bowls, serving platters, and not enough utensils. In addition, the hot water tank did not adequately provide enough hot water for a five bedroom house. If someone was showering in a lower bedroom the person staying in the third floor master bedroom was not able to get hot water. In addition we found two marijuana joints left on the outdoor deck. Not an ideal item for seven kids to find.

Awesome place and location

The house was awesome and location couldn’t have been better. It was great for our casual girls weekend. The house may have been a little worn since we stayed in it at the end of season - wasn’t the absolute cleanest. Also, there were three cockroach sightings, but that was mentioned in previous reviews so wasn’t totally unexpected for us. The pool was green and unusable when we arrived at our check in time but the rental company did send someone out to remedy the issue quickly, and it was clean with in a couple hours. Overall, really enjoyed our stay and the place met expectations.

Disappointed

I have stayed in this home for three years and just loved it. This year before we got there they had a water leak and the ceiling was falling out on two floors. It smelled like mildew , happened again while we were there because they never fixed it , washer was broke , house was not as clean, I called all week to ask for towels and some left early because we could not wash clothes. As to this very minute no one has gotten back to me on any of it.

Labor Day Weekend Stay

The house fit our group perfectly. However the cleanliness of the backyard pool area, and the cockroaches found inside the home towards the end of our stay made us all want to get out of there as soon as possible. There were appliances that looked like they hadn't been washed in a very long time. Overall it was a great trip, however they need to take care of the bug issues.

The layout of this rental is PERFECT. Each bedroom is spacious and has it's own bathroom and deck, the common area on the third floor is warm and inviting, and it had all the amenities of home. We rented it for a girl's weekend and we couldn't have been happier with our choice. We had an issue with the hot water (likely because it is very early in the season), but Kees responded quickly and it was resolved in a few hours. Regarding the location - it's right across the street from the beach (short walk to public access by Avalon Pier) and a short drive to shops, restaurants, the grocery store, etc. Kill Devil Hills is close to other charming towns (Kitty Hawk, Nags Head, Duck...) which makes for fun day trips. During your visit, be sure to grab a salad at Barefoot Bernie's and burgers at Jack Brown's. Seriously good. You won't regret it. Enjoy!

Great Outer Banks Property

We were very happy with the cottage. It was very clean and spacious and a great set up with the 5 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. Great selection of dishes and cookware and utensils. A great place to stay and we hope to spend our next vacation to Kill Devil Hills there. Centrally located and easy to get to all the attractions. Especially enjoyed the ocean view from the cottage balconies. A fun place to stay!

Wonderful place for families/groups

We stayed at "Flip Flop" for a family vacation in late April and were pleased with our experience. Prior to our stay, the rental company (Kees Vacations) was efficient and communicated well via email and phone, and the entry code they gave us was correct and timely.The house is 1 block from the beach in Kill Devil Hills, close to the Wright Brothers National Memorial and a few short miles from Jockey's Ridge State Park. The house is large, airy, and clean, with beautiful light. Each of the bedrooms has its own bath, which was very convenient. The small pool table on the lower level was a nice diversion on our one rainy afternoon. The hot tub was clean and in working order. We made use of the gas grill, which was clean but had only one working section. A few minor issues: (1) the dishwasher leaked a bit and we had to keep a towel on the floor while it was running, (2) we had only two kitchen towels for our stay of 4 nights, which, combined with the dishwasher leak, created a minor problem re not having enough clean towels while cooking and cleaning up, (3) though the kitchen was well stocked with cookware, utensils, and dishes, there were absolutely no cooking staples, so if you plan to cook at all, be prepared to bring your own salt, pepper, spices, condiments, cooking spray, etc., (4) there's currently a large vacant lot next door that isn't especially attractive, and (5) parking is limited to two cars (possibly three small cars) for the entire house, which was not a problem for our group, but could potentially be for others with more drivers with large vehicles. Overall, though, this was a great house for our first visit to OBX. We'd definitely rent the place again.

Convenient and lovely

Our family of six stayed in April. The house has a lot of space with many things included for the kids to do. Tastefully remodeled and decorated, with tons of natural light. The view of the ocean as you cook a meal or relax on the couch, is wonderful. Walking to the pier is close and easy. Grocery stores are very convenient. Perfect Place for a large group of people to vacation.

A Wonderful Time Had By All!

This was a great beach house!! My friends and I loved being literally less than 5-8 minutes for the local bars in the area. The view from the house over looking parts of the beach was serene. Having all the bedrooms with their own private bathrooms was awesome!There is a high possibility of coming back next year!!

Everything We Hoped For

We thoroughly loved staying at Flip Flop managed by Kees Vacations. The layout of the house was spectacular!!! There was plenty of room for 10 people to live and function perfectly without getting in each others way and constantly being on top of each other. The 5 bedrooms were excellent sizes with nice decor. The BACKYARD was to DIE FOR!!!!!! We spent majority of our time in the backyard relaxing in the pool and hot tub. The extra green space out back was perfect for playing cornhole. The walk to the beach was extremely easy and not long at all. We were able to get to the beach from the house in about 3 to 4 mins. My group and I were extremely impressed with the house, the walk to the beach and the backyard. It definitely ranks high in our books. We have even discussed re- booking it again for next year!

Nice house and location but not clean!

I loved the floor plan and location of Flip Flop but upon arrival the house was filthy. There was dirt behind all of the bathroom doors and one even had a used washcloth behind it. The grout between the tiles was nasty. I wore my shoes the whole week. The refrigerator had dried blood from raw meat in the crevices of the crisper. There was a rotten banana left in the cabinet that stores glasses that we had to chisel out. The pool had not been cleaned and it took 4 days of calling and complaining to get someone out to clean it. We noticed in the pictures there were cornhole boards so we called the company before our arrival to see if they would be there. If not we were planning to bring our own. They told us that they should be there but if not just call and they would bring some right to us. We never did get them and after we went to the office located in Nags Head to inquire about the pool and cornhole boards we were told they no longer offer that service. The number you call is located in Newport News and they were incorrect with that info. So overall not happy with the cleanliness of the house and will not use Kees in the future. It's really a shame because for a house that was renovated in 2016 it could have lots of potential. Oh yeah, the kitchen essentials looked as if they were picked up from yard sales and the iron for your clothes was nasty.
