Location: Located less than 1 mile from Mississippi State’s campus and the vet school, Cozy Coop is a prime spot for attending games or visiting the university. Walk to nearby Taste and Harvey’s for a taste of local dining. Accommodations: The house features a cozy queen bedroom and a full bedroom with an additional futon, comfortably sleeping 4 to 6 guests. Amenities: Enjoy modern conveniences with a fully equipped kitchen including a coffee maker, toaster, and a basket to hold fresh farm eggs. The dining area features a 6-seater table (2 seats not shown in the pictures). Farm Fresh Experience: Start your day with fresh eggs from our 4 friendly laying hens. Feel free to interact with and even feed the chickens if you like. Entertainment: Unwind with a dart game in the garage or relax on the beautifully lit back porch with night lights. A Smart TV is available for streaming sports games via YouTube TV. Perfectly met our needs

Everything was perfect. The location is in a nice, quiet neighborhood with friendly neighbors. The home itself was clean and well furnished. We had plenty of towels and linens and found the beds to be comfortable. My Granddaughter (aged 6) loved the chickens and couldn’t wait to look for eggs each day. She ate all of them herself.it was sweet watching her call them “beautiful ladies”. We would definitely book again.

Great place to stay!

The Cozy Coup is cozy and comfortable and charming! It's in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood not far from campus and had everything we needed. We were there for a football game and it was easy to get to campus and to all our favorite places to eat. Highly recommend staying here!

Excellent Customer Service by Host, Clean, Charming

Excellent experience from the moment we contacted the owner, Lee. We were coming in town for game day (1st game of the season) with our High School Senior so she could check out MSU. I couldn't believe our luck that The Cozy Coop was available. I messaged the owner right away because I couldn't believe that there was a vacancy. Lee responded immediately and we booked it with ease. We've booked a lot of VRBOs and usually a few days prior to check in day you get an email with details about your stay. Lee was so proactive and communicative that he actually messaged me before the email came to let me know it would be coming and if I had not gotten the email in the next day or so to contact him directly. After a very long and hot Saturday on campus all day, it was such a relief to walk into this home. This is an older home that has been completely remodeled and updated while maintaining its original charm. It has hardwood floors throughout. It was incredibly clean and great care had been taken with attention to detail. There was MSU decor (not over the top) it was tastefully incorporated into the design. Even the square wooden drink coasters in the living room had a bull dog on each one. We did not walk to campus so I can't speak to the convenience there. But, this is a great home in a quiet neighborhood and an excellent retreat! My daughter loved feeding the chickens the next morning. They are in a coop so If you are not a fan - then you don't even have to interact with them.

My passion for game days, whether it's baseball, football, or basketball, reflects my deep love for both the university and the community. Growing up in Mississippi, I’ve always been immersed in Southern culture and its warmth. As a new host, I’m committed to continuously improving the Cozy Coop experience to ensure it’s as exceptional as possible. Graduating from the Bagley College of Engineering, I also enjoy mentoring current students in their career and educational pursuits. I hope to share my enthusiasm for Starkville with you and make your stay memorable!
