I found the living room couch very uncomfortable to the point it was hurting my back to use it. Many electrical wall power outlets were not working especially in the bathroom. Once I opened the sliding door to the terrace I never could get it locked again.

Family Thanksgiving stay

This home was perfect for our visit to nearby family for Thanksgiving. We had plenty of room for the four of us, it was clean, nicely decorated and centrally located in Cutler Bay. The neighborhood and nearby lake offered lovely views. We would definitely stay here again if given the opportunity.

Nice quaint home

Nice home and neighborhood. Close to amenities. Only negatives was it was hard to reach owner when want to check in early and to get the keys at check in time. Also, some the plastic dishes were cracked in the cabinet and you’d pour a drink and it would come out on the table. I told the owner about these cups so he could replace.

Miami Hiking Trip

Darling little condo - managers live right next door. Had a few issues, which they corrected immediately. Very comfortable beds, had everything we needed except it would be nice if they provided salt and pepper, and had a toaster. But there WAS an air fryer which was a nice treat!!!

Not bad, basic house and nice location owners were nice and we loved fishing in the lake if you fish this spot is amazing peacock bass and other beautiful fish close to Key Largo and Miami and only 1 hr and 15 to Robbies in Marathon another fav place of ours thank you

It says it sleeps 6 but the sign on the door says a maximum of 4. The upstairs bathroom shower head was broken. The couch the parents slept on was not comfortable at all. Very hard and we was there 7 days. Great location and very quiet neighborhood.

Nice House. Poor Management

This is a very nice house, and it was very clean. However, the communication with the manager was very poor -- probably the worst I've had, which is too bad, because the house works very well and is in a nice neighborhood with a lovely lake you can walk around. Couldn't get manager to help with raising the blinds or with figuring out the TV. That was disappointing.

Great location for Everglades and Biscayne National Parks

The property was neat, clean, and tidy. Beware that the washer and dryer is not located in the home - it is four houses away in an occupied home. We did not feel comfortable using the washer and dryer as we did not know who was in the other house. Otherwise, the house met our expectations and I would recommend the property if you do not need a washer and dryer.

Needs some maintenance

This property was in an extremely convenient location for us, so we overlooked some minor inconveniences: Night stand light in main bedroom is inoperable: power outlets in both bathrooms do not work at all(!), one outlet in kitchen only worked intermittently(?), toilet seat in upstairs bathroom is slipping off, dishwasher is falling out of the cabinet, poor hot water capacity. Be aware: Pictures from this listing are not current. Sleeps 6?: 2 queen beds, one single rollout, and 6th must be on the couch?

Not great

Not well maintained. Several electrical sockets not working. Light and one burner on stove not working. Sliding glass doors difficult to lock and slide. Felt that security of place was not sufficient. Kitchen missing essential kitchen items. Many that could be bought at the local store. Front door screen missing.View of lake from patio was hindered by heavy grate that was installed for security we guessed. Outdoor fan not working. Old tissue from prior tenant stuck between the headboard and the mattress.

Scam Scam Scam beware! Stay Away!

This guy is a crook. The house was dirty when we arrived. One toilet rocked back and forth and one seat about to fall off. The sink in the master bath will not drain. Dirt all on the floor. Then the owner accuses me of having a dog in the house and charges me an extra $100. I have never and will never travel with a dog. When i explained this too him he called me a liar. DO NOT STAY HERE!! I forgot to add the gunshots at night.

Cancelled my reservation without explanation

I had this place booked 5 months in advance of my trip. My stay of three nights was to take place over New Years weekend. 14 days before my arrival, the owner refunded my deposit without any message as to why. At least I hadn't paid the full amount yet. Only AFTER I called and sent emails enquiring why, I was told that the house needed some work done and it was to be done during the dates of my planned stay. Interestingly, the availability calendar shows no bookings for two weeks after my stay, so it seems odd that they picked New Year's weekend to 'do work on the house'. Yes, my deposit was refunded, but because I am not American, I am still losing money from credit card currency exchange fees.

Left stranded with 2 kids in Florida

Miguel never communicated except to send payment reminder and tell me the rental was cancelled less than 3 hours before check-in as we were enroute to the property. Someone sent an explanation that they had moved other tenant who had trouble into our reserved property and that HomeAway would help us find another place. But they did not provide a good number for HomeAway. It appeared in my email as xxx-xxx-xxxx. I replied and requested a call which I never received. So we we were stranded a thousand miles from home with no place to stay and no help. Cannot trust this owner to care for those renting his property. I'm done with VRBO. And certainly done with Miguel. I recommend you protect yourself and stay far away from his properties.

Very nice appartment, but no washing machine

We arrived in a very clean, nice and well kept appartment. It could clearly be seen that this appartment was really taken care of. Kitchen was nice and modern. Stove, refrigerator (silent) and dish washer all modern equipment. All doors, windows were equipped with fly screens, all completely intact without any cracks. The terrace was very nice too, although one of it`s doors locks didn`t work. This should be fixed soon. There were some little minors: In one of the bathrooms the toilet was loose. Though it was not leaking it was no problem to us, it still could safely be used. The air condition was very noisy but we don`t use airconditions so this was also no problem for us. The only significant issue for us was the missing washing machine. In the appartments online description there were a washing machine and a dryer announced. None of both were there so we had to look for a coin laundry to get out clothes clean. We rented the appartment as a family including a six year old child and we were in vacations for several weeks. So this would have been important to us. Claiming this via the online portal where we booked the appartment we got no response at all. So to summarize, we can clearly suggest to rent this appartment. It is a very nice and well kept accomodation in a safe an nice vicinity.

This home was our worst nightmare.

Do not stay in this house. The main bedroom is infested with bed bugs. We also saw multiple cockroaches, and heard a creature living in the wall. Read below for the full account. We stayed here for a week over Thanksgiving and it seemed like a nice place. The owner was a nice man. We first noticed the mattress had a cover over, it which i was thankful for at the time because I believed he was trying to keep it clean for visitors. The second day of our visit my wife starting having what we thought was mosquito bites come up on her arms. At first we did not pay much attention to it, but they kept biting her the entire week. The third night she was in the bathroom and screamed for me. Crawling on the wall was at least a 3 inch long cockroach. After I killed it, we contemplated on asking the owner for our money back but decided that one roach was not bad enough to go through the trouble of finding another house. By the time we left we found two more. As the bites continued we were awakened one night and heard a scratching noise in the wall. It lasted for about two hours then went away until the next night. I have no idea what creature it was. I told the owner about the roaches and scratching noise and he apologized and offered a discount on our next stay. Which I thought was fair since we did not mention anything until we were leaving. This is where the nightmare begins. We went home and the bites continued on my wife. After we ruled out mosquitoes we blamed it on an allergic reaction change in laundry detergent. So we changed it and washed our clothes again. The bumps continued to come up for the next 3 weeks until one night I woke up and found a small bug crawling across our bed. I had never seen a bug like this and to my horror after researching it turned out to be a bed bug, which we brought home from this house. Now our bed is infested with these things. We are sleeping on our couch and have to get rid of our custom built king bed, and our mattress. My wife great grandfather built our dresser and night stand almost 100 years ago and we will have to put it in storage because of these things. An exterminator is going to cost over $1000 dollars. The worst part is the owner knew he had this problem. The reason we know this is because the mattress cover on his bed was for bed bugs, which we found out because we had to buy one. I hate to leave this kind of review but I would not want anyone to experience what we are going through right now

Megan, we pay very close attention to every detail and uphold the highest cleaning standards. No guest before you had ever mentioned this and no guest after you has mentioned anything like this. On the contrary, they all love our home. My reviews speak for themselves and I hope future travelers consider this. For future guests, this review is being examined by Homeaway and VRBO for accuracy.

Belle maison, et loueurs très agréable

La maison est vaste et très bien entretenue et la mise à disposition de nombreuses serviettes et produits de toilettes de belles qualité est un point positif. Même le placard a provisions et le réfrigérateur était partiellement rempli. On nous a attendu jusqu'à 23h (notre avion avait du retard) et nous avons été accueilli avec sourires et conseils pour nos vacances. Par contre, pour nous, français, il nous a manqué une véritable salle à manger avec table et chaises et la cuisine manque de casserole et poêle. Quiconque, désirant une location dans le Sud de Miami, trouvera une demeure propre avec ses 2 chambres indépendantes (dont une immense chambre parentale avec son dressing et une salle d'eau XXL au rez de chaussée) et c'est vraiment une bonne adresse à répertorier.
