In this spectacular home on Lake Champlain you are right on the lake's edge where you can walk down the stairs and be at the water's edge where you can launch one of our 3 kayaks, or a paddle board or just go for a swim. As you sip your morning coffee on the deck you can watch the birds flying across the water. In the evening you can enjoy a romantic dinner watching the spectacular sunsets over the water. We are a 5 minute walk from the St Albans marina where you can park or rent a boat. There is a bike path in the town that goes as far as Jay Peak and you can rent a bike right in town.
In the winter we are close to Smuggler's Notch, Stowe or Jay Peak where you can ski of snow board the best of the North East.
We really enjoyed our stay! The property was spotless, well stocked, and had a beautiful view. The host was wonderfulâvery communicative and responsive. Just a couple of small quirks to note: the water has a bit of a sulfur smell with low pressure, and we noticed acorns on the roof at night along with a little thermostat hiccup. Overall though, itâs a lovely spot and we had a great experience!
The house was lovely, comfortable, and clean. They provided plenty of drinking water. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of pillows, blankets, towels, etc. Unlike other homes that I have rented this one seemed truly lived in and had many amenities. I would definitely stay here again. The host was very communicative and available for questions.
Amazing location and view (really does look like the pictures!), the house was the perfect size for the family. We appreciated being able to use the kayaks on the perfect shoreline. The location was great for excursions and just staying home. The communication with the host was perfect. Wish we could have stayed longer! Highly recommend!
We had a great stay on the lake. The view from the deck was spectacular and our daughter loved the "relaxing chairs" down below for watching the sunset. The house was clean and comfortable, with plenty of towels and linens and even a few fans for the very hot days we were there.
Jonathan was a wonderful host! The property was clean and well stocked for our family vacation. The location was perfect with plenty of privacy and an incredible view of the lake from the deck and living room. As a bonus kayaks and paddle boards were available for our use. Kayaking was relaxing and a great way to see the lake from another perspective. Having a full kitchen with everything we needed made dinner time easy. The house is close to activities and restaurants. We really enjoyed takeout on the deck watching the sunsets. Easy short drive to Montreal for sightseeing and shopping. Close to Ben and Jerryâs factory tour, Burlington Church Street and, the Von Trap Family Lodge. Jonathan was very communicative with us if we reached out.
Beautiful location on the Eastern shore of lake gives great sunsets. Kitchen well stocked with utensils, spices, cookware, etc. We were there during a hot summer week and only having one AC unit in main living space didn't cool the bedrooms. We were unaware that an algae bloom in the lake is common in July, which closes the beaches and limits water activities. We chose the location for biking and hiking and we were not disappointed. We especially enjoyed the Causeway trail in Burlington.
Probably the best VRBO we've stayed in. Everything that we could have needed was available to us. Also, the location was perfect. Burlington was close and the lake view was amazing. We would stay there again.
Beautiful view, plenty of space for our family of 4, interior of house was clean and well stocked with necessities, enjoyed the kayaks, paddle boards, and hammocks. We wouldâve liked the deck to be cleaned off and the fireplace filled with propane, and some tubes to float on in the lake would make it more comfortable with the seaweed.
Excellent host - extremely helpful with everything from check in / check out to local suggestions. The house had everything needed for a great getaway. We had a wonderful time and wouldn't hesitate to book again.
Mother nature wasn't on our side on this trip so we only got to enjoy the kayaks for the first evening we were there. The rain stopped just long enough for us to enjoy a beautiful sunset on the patio! Thankfully, the indoor accommodations were cozy and spacious with plenty of room for all of us to hang in the living room or spread out and do our own things. The house is close to the Bay store which offers ice cream and other snacks if you happen to forget something. We would definitely stay again! Thank you to the host for being so reachable and pleasant!
Our family traveled to Saint Albans to experience the Vermont Maple Festival. We loved our time at the lake house. The kids enjoyed playing around the lake. The views were great. We were close to some great food and bwverage choices. We are already planning our return trip to Vernont during the otbsr seasons. We will be staying here again!!!
The house and property were very nice spacious. It was very easy to find , which is very helpful after a long travel. When we walked into the home, everything was very neat and in order. However, we discovered that two of the bedrooms and the bathrooms had not been cleaned before our arrival..When brought to the hostâs attention, he was unapologetic.and denied it. Photos were emailed to him , no response from him at all.
We were in town for a couple days in November for a youth hockey tournament in St. Albans. The location and general area are nice with many offerings for food and shopping. Beautiful lake house as advertised, and very spacious! Mattresses are firm. I need a fairly dark room for sleeping and the window treatments did a pretty good job blocking light. My family enjoyed our time there and are considering a trip next summer!
Wonderful home! Lovely view of the lake.
Was a little upset about the adult nudity on one of the paintings in one of the bedrooms.
But the home was excellent. Great location for a day drive through the mountains with the family.
We had a wonderful two night stay for leaf peeping and riding the rail trails. The property was lake front in a quiet neighborhood. Saint Albans was a short drive away with nice restaurants. The best part was the beautiful deck overlooking the water, perfect for relaxing and watching the stars.
Had a lovely time staying in this cute house on the lake. The sunset views alone made the entire stay worth it. Highly recommend, and we will be back for sure!
