Cleanliness and guest comfort are very important to us, and I appreciate you bringing your concerns to our attention during your stay. Once notified, we immediately contacted maintenance to address the issues you reported, including inspecting the HVAC system and replacing the air filter. For future guests’ awareness, the HVAC equipment is located inside a locked utility closet that is intended for maintenance personnel only. After receiving your report, we nevertheless had the area inspected and serviced to ensure everything was functioning properly. We also addressed the additional maintenance items that were reported, including having maintenance assess the shower door and replace the toilet seat. These issues had not been previously reported to us, so we appreciated the opportunity to correct them. As with many well-loved properties, there may be minor cosmetic wear and tear such as baseboard paint imperfections, but we continually work to maintain the property and make improvements whenever possible. The apartment complex recently underwent a change in management, and the new policy regarding VRBO rentals was implemented without prior notice to me. I understand how receiving that notice could have caused concern, but I want to clarify that you were never asked to leave early and you were able to complete your stay as planned. I regret that communication may not have felt clear during this unexpected change, but please know that I had no advance knowledge of the policy shift.
