Good basic house just outside the town of Baddeck. Not really walkable into downtown, but just a five-minute drive with plenty of parking. Open living area, but just a little cramped. Good breeze with windows open to cool down the house on a warm summer day. Would stay again.

Perfect home away from home

Our stay here was everything we could ask for. The house was well-stocked and clean. There was plenty of room for the four of us and seating was comfortable in the living room area. Owner was responsive when we had questions and we were able to take advantage of the golf nearby. I would definitely stay here again!

Excellent Location

The accommodation was ideally located and some of our party enjoyed the inclusive golf. The dining facility was on a high unit with bar stools which may not work for all and there was a shortage of crockery. However would happily rebook.

A golf get away

Perfect accommodations, very clean, the host was excellent to deal with, great golfing, well-maintained, golf course and property, before we arrived we were informed about the oven not working, and they brought a new one within a couple hours after we arrived, Hoping to be back again next year. A Great Place to Golf & Relax

A group of eight guys headed to Cape Breton for 4 nights and five days at Baddeck and luckily picked the best possible place to stay that we could. The course is right next to Bell Bay Golf Club which was convenient for us as we played three rounds there, one at Cape breton Highlands (1 hr away) and one round at the Lakes at Ben Oein (1 hr away). House was clean and well supplied. Everything worked properly in the unit and we had no problems. Communications with Tyson was quick and easy and I would highly recommend this place for your holiday. Definietly five stars!!

Great place and location. Included golf was excellent. Hard to just go for a walk from the property as it was a busy road but in town for walk wasn’t far to drive. Baddeck had everything you needed and the whole Cabot Trail was there to explore as well. Unfortunate that we had Hurricane Lee come through and the weather was not stellar but made the most of it and it could have been much worse if we were in the direct Hurricane path.

Nice property with non-functioning equipments

Check-in was good and the rooms were stocked up with essential supplies (bathrooms and kitchen). However, none of the TVs were working and were only looked at after 1 nights stay (it could only show 1 channel after it was fixed and none of the kids channels that we were looking for). Fan in one of the rooms was not working and we had an awful time trying to sleep at night. Was not fixed at all during our stay. Given the difficulty of sleeping at nights, given the hot rooms, this was a terrible experience. Owner’s responsiveness is poor and not at all timely. Will not stay again here and possibly not try to find anything with Vrbo again.

This is a very interesting review. I please encourage potential guests to read all our other reviews, which is 5 star. I find this review interesting as this group called me 3 times on the day of their arrival, which I answered the call every time and provided the details they were seeking. I had my maintenance personnel check the TV’s, they were all working fine, turned out to be a user issue. I also had the fan checked out and again it was a user issue, not understanding that the wall switch must be on with the combination of the fan chain pull.

Beautiful lake views

Large bedrooms with very comfy beds, on suits were great 2 four piece and one two piece more then adequate. T.V’s in all the rooms with great selection. Internet was not great hard to have more then one user on at a time. Outdoor Patio set was great and did use a lot but it could use cushions. BBQ was excellent very clean. Kitchen could have been stocked better no spices! We did loose power one night could not find the emergency kit you have listed in booklet, flashlight we did find batteries were dead. We did manage to find a couple of candles in the back of one of the cupboards. Your not overlooking the golf course you must drive but it is only 5 minutes away. There is no pool on premises or workout room all was at the check in resort about 10 minute drive from your cottage. Very close to Cabot trail and two very good restaurants Freight Shed and Bell Bouy Bistro. We did have a fantastic stay…but somewhat miss leading overall.

Excellent location, layout and comfort

We really enjoyed our stay! The only minor blip was that we did not know check-in procedures at the time (go to the Inverary Resort front desk), but it worked out fine. We loved the space, views, private access to the lake beach, location to town and golf. It was a perfect vacation spot for our family of four. Very comfortable and we were sad to leave!

Great facility for 3 couples. Enjoyed the golf at Bell Bay. Also was close enough for a day trip to play Cabot Cliffs. Good kitchen and BBQ to cook for ourselves.

Baddeck stay was lovely

Beautiful vacation home on a hill overlooking Baddeck Bay. The home is one of 8 that forms the estate and backs on the Bell Bay golf course. The east facing deck receives morning sun rises and early afternoon sunshine. The home is approximately 2 KM from the heart of Baddeck where there are restaurants, grocery, pharmacy etc. The home was very clean, new and nicely decorated. The widow's peak provided a private room for playing games or reading in peace. We did experience a couple of annoyances - internet issues that were fixed day 4, and a dishwasher that needed service because it wasn't draining. That said, the home was very nice and we were pleased with our stay.

Tyson grew up a half hour from the property in the Margaree Valley, Nova Scotia. Cindy grew up in Moncton, New Brunswick and we met in Baddeck while Cindy was on a girls golf trip. We were married in 2006 and have since had two boys, Cody and Luke. We currently reside in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

We have ties to Cape Breton and purchased this property to always have a piece of the Island in our lifes and for our boys to enjoy as time passes on.
