Only minutes from downtown and the airport. Lots of parking available. Cookout with the family full kitchen, grill, or use of Treager smoker available. TV in all rooms, relax and take in the view from the back deck with fire table, or sit out at the picnic shelter. This cozy getaway awaits in Des Moines at this charming house. With 3 queen beds and 1 futon, this peaceful retreat comfortably accommodates up to 8 guests. Enjoy the brilliant natural light that fills the bedrooms, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Take a relaxing soak in the bathtub or stay active in the fitness room. WiFi, heating, and AC ensure a comfortable stay. Whether you're exploring the city or simply unwinding in the comfort of this lovely home, we're happy to assist with any questions while you stay at our house.

The listing is 'pet friendly' but it should be noted that a cat lives on property and is not shy; a slight issue that has potential for a much bigger issue. The mosquito population made the outdoor area unenjoyable as the citronella candles and torches were unusable. The interior space was clean and comfortable and well provisioned.

Very comfortable house. Huge TV. Great shower. We all enjoyed it. Also note, it’s pretty close to DSM airport and we never heard planes overhead.

This space was very nice and had lot of amenities. The space had a vintage vibe to it. There was also a cute cat that lives under the porch that was super friendly. Could have been a little cleaner as there were spider webs in many of the doorframes.

This was such a great place for my friends and me to stay. We needed a nice comfortable place where we could spend an evening catching up and enjoying each other's company and this house was perfect for that. Everything was nice and clean and the hosts have gone above and beyond with the amenities they provided. We would definitely stay here again!

The property was not clean as described. Specific examples are cobwebs, dirty floors and corners (beads and bobby pins), dirty popcorn machine, used paper towel, home and towels had an odor. The upstairs bedroom has orange mold growing on the shower curtain and cobwebs on the air conditioner and window and a nail is ticking out of the wall next to the toilet. The living room coffee table was wobbly and food/candy bars found on the floor between the couch cushions (you could see, we did not look for items). The dining room floor planks were taped together with what looks to be packing tape, and floor uneven, causing a tripping hazard and the bar stool in the kitchen has a rip on one side exposing the cushion and material. The outside had weeds grown up in the play area and around the home and fence. The deck had boxes and bowls under it, in addition to weeds growing up through it. The tree in the driveway had branches so low they scraped my vehicle each time we pulled in and out of the driveway. There were toys and gutters laying around the yard, deck and covered outdoor area. The hot tub lid was lifted and emitted a horrendous odor as if something was dead inside (nothing was seen), but needless to say we did not use the hot tub. Contacted Host and he said he had problems with his staff previously but then changed his mind and said he saw nothing wrong when he viewed the cameras. I have send pictures to him as well. VERY disappointed and left early.

We had a great stay at this home in Des Moines! There were 8 of us; 4 adults and 4 children ages 2, 4, 8, and 12. There was a pack N play onsite, which was so helpful! My family stayed in the upstairs room, which had a king bed and a futon. There was no real bedding on the futon, which was kind of annoying. Thankfully, I always bring car blankets for my kids on any kind of overnight trip, so they at least had those. We didn't find the extra blankets until the next day. The kitchen, living rooms and bathrooms were all very nice! There is a little playset on the property that was nice to have too. It's better for kids over age 3-4, but my 2yo still had fun on it. There was plenty of seating for everyone inside, and the deck was really nice too! There were a TON of toys for the kids! No complaints on the main floor bedrooms :) My only small complaint about this home is that some areas hadn't been cleaned in a VERY long time. I messaged the owner after checkout, so he is aware. I have faith that he will get them cleaned up. Some areas were really dusty and full of cobwebs. I don't expect an outdoor grilling area to be spotless, but I do expect it to be wiped down and cleared of cobwebs. And the grill's charcoal ash tray to be emptied, or only have light use; not for it to be overflowing. I do wish there was onsite laundry. That was my mistake for not noticing it wasn't available. Families with small children (and sweaty men!) really need to have that option. IYKYK

Great stay!

This was a perfect property for us, as we visited our DesMoines relative from out of town. The host/owner was exceptionally responsive to all questions and needs. The hot tub was amazing!

Great space!!

Stayed here with a handful of my buddies for the weekend of a wedding and the space was perfect! Being so close to the airport definitely saved us a ton of trouble. Plenty of room to hang out with more friends who were in town and the host was very accommodating of that!!

Lovely place for a family party

Had a lovely stay and had a small party with family and friends. Check-in was seemless, host quickly fixed a small issue with the WiFi. Mattresses were WONDERFUL. Furniture is eclectic but very comfy. Young adults loved the hot tub.

Just a handful of us ladies enjoyed a nice night!! Hot tub was fun, spacious, very accommodating! The home is absolutely beautiful! Would definitely stay here again!

The property was accurate to the listing. We generally always select properties with either a hot tub or pool. We were unable to utilize the hot tub during our stay, due to it's smell, which was highly disappointing.

Family Visit

This property has plenty of space. The living room, dinning room and kitchen can accommodate a larger group. Comfortable beds in all the bedrooms. We would book this property again.
