Mas Souleido est un peu de vie de luxe situé à Fort Davis, au Texas. Une maison d'hôtes de 2 étages nichée au pied de Blue Mountain sur 20 hectares. Luxe serein et calme pour un long week-end ou une escapade plus longue. Ciel sombre, balcon, vues imprenables. 2 chambres à l'étage à la fois avec salles de bains privées et baignoires, chambre king (peut être transformé en jumeaux) a également un lit de repos. Ancien escalier en colimaçon, au rez-de-chaussée, 2 chambres 1 lit queen et 1 chambre avec 2 lits jumeaux (pouvant être transformés en roi), salle de bain commune avec douche et grand loft avec 3 matelas jumeaux et une demi-baignoire. Le loft donne sur une grande salle de jeux avec table de billard, un bar avec machine à glaçons et une cheminée en pierre calcaire. Un grand porche donne sur une aire de jeux en plein air herbeuse. Il y a aussi un patio en gravier avec foyer. Cuisine et coin buanderie, Dish tv. Coin repas 8, coin salon avec télévision, coin bibliothèque, jeux de société. Piscine extérieure de 40 pieds, bain à remous, barbecue au propane, terrasse avec parasol et chaises.

Great for all ages!

We had a lovely 4 day holiday stay… visiting multiple state parks and McDonald Observatory. GREAT location for that kind of adventuring!

Amazing property with the most hospitable host!

We had a wonderful stay. Mrs. Nancy is so attentive and welcoming. The pool is an added plus and we spent a lot of time outside even in the middle of summer. House has everything one could need. We will definitely be back!

This house is a dream! The location is outstanding and the furnishings inside are just like you are staying in a French chateau. The kids and adults both loved the green grass, the pool and hot tub, the fire pit, sandbox, the Mountain View’s and THE STARS AT NIGHT!!

Very nice. Can handle a large group. Not really for handicap or mobility limited folks. Care taker is great, comes by daily to check on any needs. Beds were very comfortable.

Observatory Trip

This house is a lot of fun! The kitchen was a little crowded when cooking for 9 people but we made it work easily enough. Everything else is where and as you’d expect it to be. Great views day and night! Plenty of outdoors to explore! I’d (and I think my family) would definitely go back.

Fantastic Stay in Fort Davis

Our stay here was wonderful - 5 days wasn't enough. Plenty to do in Fort Davis area. The house was beyond expectations - the kids loved the pool/hot tub. There was plenty of room for us all to spread out and relax. Daniel was so helpful and made us feel right at home. He went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. The kids are still talking about their trip up the mountain to see the sunset with him. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Fort Davis Get-a-way

From the moment we entered our house we were pleased. Such a beautiful tribute to old country estate in a French theme! We loved mornings watching the sunrise and evenings watching the stars. The kids used the pool every chance they could. We visited Davis Mountains, Balmorhea, McDonald Observatory and simple drives through mountains. We were all excited for the ice cream treats from the Kaboose in town. Would love to return next year.

A little slice of heaven!

We are on our 2nd getaway here in less than a year! We cannot put into words how much we enjoy this experience. Nancy and Daniel are top notch hosts. We got to enjoy a new moon this time which meant unlimited stargazing. We saw many more meteorites/shooting stars than we had anticipated. Once we bought groceries we didn't leave the house. The R&R here is outstanding. Thank you once again, Nancy. Top marks to you, Daniel. We will definitely be back!

A Perfect Mountain Getaway

This is not just a home; it is an experience in the vein of a "French Chateau." The home is lovingly decorated with interesting antiques, and no accommodation was overlooked. And, of course, the mountain views from the pool will not be forgotten. We had an endless supply of towels for the 8 kids to swim multiple times a day, and there was plenty of space for everyone to spread out. There are so many pockets to escape and relax, even for our large group. And the home was spotless. The best part of our stay was Daniel--an onsite manager who saw to our every need. He had the hot tub ready for us after long days at the festival, and even lit a fire and brought us S'mores supplies for our last night. And Nancy reached out before our stay to welcome and orient us to the property. Overall, one of the best VRBO experiences I've ever had!

West Texas retreat

Get away from it all on this well run spa like property. Excellent service. Go on excursions and come home to swim, bubble up in the hot tub and watch all the bright stars.

Everything you could need

We were so happy with the place. The photos don't do it justice. It's beautiful and has everything you need and plenty of it...space, beautiful views, supplies, and Daniel...who was so helpful and friendly! We were in West Texas for a family wedding and are thinking about coming back just to vacation we loved it so much...in great part because of this property.

Incredible experience! Wonderful hostess!

We all agreed that this is the most unique, comfortable and fun place we have stayed. The owner, Nancy has gone above and beyond to create the perfect oasis. She is very responsive and helpful in her communications. She is very friendly and accommodating. We want to keep her all to ourselves! But, she deserves a stellar review. We also met Daniel who was just as friendly and helpful. The house is VERY well-appointed. We wanted for nothing. We got a kick out of the running theme, and felt that we could stay another week and still not see all of the little ways the theme was expressed. Very cute! We went during the peak of Perseid meteor shower. Mas Souleiado made for the perfect place to kick back in our zero-gravity loungers and catch the show. We were able to see several planets through our friend's telescope, and got some stellar views of the full Sturgeon moon. In the mornings we were treated to gorgeous sunrises over the mountains and the pool. I can go on and on and on! We are already planning our next trip. Nancy, thank you is just not enough to state our appreciation of both you, your staff and the for outstanding experience we had. Truly one of a kind in all ways. Thank you!

Lovely desert oasis

Had a perfect weekend with friends at the property. Very clean, beautiful pool, hot tub, and lawn. Daniel, the caretaker, was so nice and helpful. Hope to be back soon!

Perfect House for Multiple Families

We had a group of three families, and the Ft Davis house worked out great for us. The kitchen is a bit small, but the rest of the house and property was wonderful. Tons of room inside and out. Beautiful views everywhere. And everyone enjoyed the pool/hot tub and pool table. The house is well stocked with everything you need. Thanks!

Fort Davis stay

Owner & manager were great to work with -- very helpful. House was in a beautiful location and was very charming, although some of the things that gave it charm & character also made it a bit of a challenge, like getting to the upstairs rooms and the very small kitchen with no dishwasher or pantry. And a couple family members said hot water in the showers was problematic. But we managed and enjoyed many of the things about the house -- beautiful patios & views, the pool table, the whirlpool, the number of beds available. If we came to this area again, we'd probably check other options, but also would definitely have no qualms about staying here again.

Ft Davis in June

For a family group of 15 the place was perfect. Lots to do from morning to night. Great outdoors spaces for gathering and dining along with spacious swimming pool. Everything clean and well maintained with an excellent caretaker. Nancy the host was put of town but easy to contact for questions and suggestions. Will definitely be back.

Paradise in the Fort Davis Mountains

We had a family get together at Nancy’s guest house with ages ranging from 6 to almost 70, and every single person loved our stay. The house is charming, with many creative details and unique spaces that allow you to both have your own space and gather together. We made full use of the game room, pool, hot tub, gypsy caravan, porches and patios. The views, the sunsets, and the starry nights were just beautiful. Everything was comfortable, clean, and well-stocked. Nancy is an A+ host - she made us feel welcome and gave us a personal orientation to the property. We are all eager to make a return trip. Perfect for reunions and big family gatherings.

What a beautiful property! The owner was very friendly and helpful. There was plenty of space for our large family, inside and out. The only problem we ran into was running out of hot water. However, the water out of the tap was wonderful for drinking, so that more than made up for us having to schedule shower times. We loved this property and will visit again.

Enjoyable comfy reunion space for family

Nancy was a pleasure and very easy to work with. She accommodated us quickly for any need (or want) we expressed. She is knowledgeable about the area and gave us good insights about the area and its attractions. Her guest home is inviting and cozy. The kitchen is a bit small for more than two at a time but we adjusted and it all worked out quite nicely. We spent hours laughing and talking as we played pool. The grounds around her home are well cared for. We had plenty of room for our adult family of 6 and our 3 dogs. We enjoyed playing croquet and horseshoes outdoors in of her multiple outdoor areas. It was a wonderful getaway with family.
