Imaginez-vous vous réveiller dans ce cadre paisible du lac Deer (lac pour bateaux à moteur de la communauté WLE) où vos activités de la journée sont à votre porte: vous baigner à la plage, pêcher depuis votre quai privé ou profiter du bateau à rames de cette maison et bateau à aubes pour naviguer sur le lac ou explorer l'île. Si vous préférez un séjour plus relaxant, installez-vous dans une chaise longue au bord du lac et lisez un livre, observez les oiseaux ou partagez des histoires autour du foyer lorsque le soleil se couche.

Le lac Wallenpaupack est à quelques pas de l'établissement et une rampe de lancement communautaire est disponible. Vous n'avez pas de bateau à moteur? Vous pouvez louer à partir d'une marina à proximité!

De la terrasse juste à côté de la grande salle, vous pouvez prendre le petit déjeuner, le déjeuner et le dîner à la table de pique-nique spacieuse avec une vue spectaculaire. Oui, vous aurez besoin d'un permis de pêche. Les piscines extérieures ne sont ouvertes que jusqu'au Memorial Day. Elles ne sont ouvertes que le week-end jusqu'à ce qu'elles soient ouvertes à temps plein, généralement autour de la 3ème semaine de juin. Les lacs seront accessibles mais sans sauveteurs jusqu'à ce qu'ils y aillent à plein temps au mois de juin. Ainsi, vous pouvez pêcher le lac depuis le rivage. Le lac Wallenpaupack est disponible et les terrains de jeu / terrains de balle / terrains sont toujours ouverts.

Great Vacation

Another great vacation in the Poconos. Nice quiet lake and great for kayaking - not too big. Great for walks to "the big lake" and around the "small lake". Nice snack bar with very good ice cream. Close to markets and restaurants. This was our 2nd stay at the house and we would come back. Cindy (who manages the rental) is great to work with.

Mini vacation

House was clean and comfortable. The property and house appeared larger in photis, but it was fine for us. House had everything you needed ! Neighborhood/Community was very nice. We hope to come back!!

Relaxing family vacation spot

A great secluded spot for a family vacation to "get away from it all" offering all that relaxing lake life can offer. The rustic cabin is perfect for our family and we enjoy all of the neighborhood activities. We also enjoy the swimming dock, fire pit, screen porch, kayaks, floats and (hidden) poker table!

Family week

House and location were perfect for family to unplug from screens and technology for a week. Lots of time on the big lake as we rented a boats a couple days. When we were not out there we were either paddling to the beach or hanging at the pool in the community. All were very welcoming and had a great time!!

Wonderful family retreat

Absolutely love it there. Another great time spent with family relaxing and fishing,playing games and hanging by the fire. The deer this year were amazing. They were coming up and the kids loved feeding them. We hope to make this a tradition for years to come.

Lake! Lake! Lake!

Can’t beat a week on a lake. Having kayaks available is great. We kayaked everyday. So easy to get in the water. Comfy place. Love it there. Oh and the wildlife was fantastic! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Beautiful location

The lake area is beautiful and there is a lot on offer in the community to do. The lake view is amazing and, had it not poured during our visit, there’s a fire pit right near the lake for use. However, the spiders inside the home (and nested in the grill) were out of control. I understand this is a lake home in October, but we’ve booked a similar stay every fall for the last several years and never seen anything like it. I would highly recommend the owners have someone do a spider sweep if the house has been empty a while before a booking.

Cozy house on a quiet lake

This was our second time staying at the Bruno house. We really enjoy the comfy house and the property that is right on the lake in a quiet community. Great lake views from the kitchen and family room space, plus deck and patio. The baseboard heat in all rooms worked great and kept us plenty warm on unusually cold fall days. They supply wood for use with the outdoor fire pit and wood stove. As a guest in the community you also have access to "the big lake" aka Lake Wallenpaupack, which isn't far from the house. There are hiking opportunities nearby and it is a short drive to Hawley and Honesdale. We'll be back again. Thank you Bruno family for sharing your lovely home with us!

Gorgeous Location

The location of this house is wonderful! Right on the lake. Lots of lounge chairs to relax on and just star at the lake. Great dock. Lots of wild life. The home was very dated. Could use a lot of updating. Some faucets didn't work properly so that caused problems for our 4 year old. Its was clean but very musty. We were there 2 weeks and got the place dried up pretty well by leaving the garage door open during the day so the foundation would dry up a little. With all this said the location outweighed the house neglect and we are thinking of booking for next summer.

Another great trip for the second year in a row!

This is my family’s second year in a row staying at this property. We absolutely love it here and will hopefully stay at the property for many, many more years to come. We can’t say enough good things about staying at the property. The booking agent,Cindy, is very helpful, responsive and pleasant to deal with. The family that owns the property are great too! The views are amazing, accommodations are great, the layout of the house and property are perfect, etc. We’ve brought home so many happy, lifetime family memories. Staying at this property is one of the most relaxing and adventurous trips we’ve ever had. We’re only home a few hours and we miss being there already. We may even try to stay during the fall / winter, as I’m sure the views are absolutely breathtaking and we’d like to light a cozy fire in the fireplace. Highly recommend property. Thanks for having our family at your property again!

Deer Lake Cabin

Right from the start it was a positive experience. Cindy, the leasing agent was very helpful. The home was “rustic” but charming and checked all of the boxes we were looking for… deck with an amazing view, screened in porch for evening cribbage games and dock for fishing. The fire pit was stocked with wood. It was a very quiet community which was perfect for R & R. We enjoyed the wildlife, ducks, birds and deer. We even spotted a bald eagle! The kitchen was fully equipped and the beds were comfortable. The only downfall was all the stairs! (For those of us with bad knees). We had a wonderful relaxing time and we are looking forward to going back next year. Thank you Bruno family and Cindy!

Magical in so many ways! A rustic lake getaway!

We had a great time - the property was just as expected - rustic - but it did the job! It had a great space downstairs for my sons, and plenty of bedrooms and space upstairs for us and our guests. Loved the screened porch - and the dock and boats were great. We had a fire and made smores - we did star-gazing using our app to see all the amazing constellations. One of my daughters and I went to the beach and just laid out on tubes and rafts for hours. My boys fished and caught a bass, catfish and some sunnies and we all had a ball with the boats and rafts off the dock. And my boys gulfed a few times (at courses nearby) and we went to the casinos (NY and Pa) and the outlets. My dogs loved it - they had a blast swimming in the water. And a family of 4 ducks greeted us each morning. We loved looking at the birds with the binoculars - and the last day a humming bird flew right up to me on the deck - I think that was the icing on the cake of a magical week at the lake! It was a terrific family vacation - it flew by (should have taken two weeks -- well maybe next year). Thank you.

Fun Fall Weekend on the lake

We had a very nice Fall weekend celebrating a special Birthday. The views of the lake are very nice and wished we could of enjoyed the amenities of the property more such as the rowboat and fire pit

Perfect Escape

If you are looking for a place to disconnect from your busy life. This is the place to do it. We stayed in September and experienced cool fall weather. We had a great time roasting marshmallows by the fire pit over looking deer lake. We fished from the dock and caught some nice bass and a perch. We relaxed on the patio overlooking the lake while reading books. We also had fun taking the row boat for some trips around the lake. The community was a great place to go for daily walks exploring Lake Wallenpaupak and other parks nearby. All and all it was a great relaxing vacation where we could escape from our busy lives. Great place to relax.

Peaceful

We love it there. So peaceful. Having access to the kayaks is great. We floated on tubes from the dock. Fed ducks and deer. The deer took food out of our hands. Most definitely going back.

Great vacation

We loved our stay. The house had everything we needed. The grandchildren loved the wildlife and fishing. The adults loved the peace and quiet and the kayaks. We would definitely go there again.
