It is a nice place to stay. House has everything what you might need during your stay on the lake . Unfortunately, we had rainy weather during our visit, but still were able to use boats few times , and spent few hours by the fire pit. Shed on the property has few bicycles , including few for kids , as well as various sizes of life jackets.House is also has two bunk beds, which my kids enjoyed very much . Kitchen is nicely equipped, propane grill on the property operates smoothly. Very easy check in and check out process, Host is very accommodating and responds very quickly to any questions, that you might have . It is a convenient location to the major grocery stores.
Very pretty, very cozy, had everything we needed was nice and warm fire place already lit as we walked in,, lots of places to eat and a lots of kitchen tools plan on trying out the summer great view of the frozen lake we didnât try but we watched familyâs play on the lake very beautiful the whole experience
Went away for a girls weekend and a few things to note before booking:- we were told we needed license and registration for checking into the welcome center. We werenât told this is a lengthy/ inefficient process, 30 minutes, not the best start to vacation - the outside of the house leaves a lot to be desired. Likely why there are no photos. Inside was mostly clean but did have a lot of flies/ little gnats built up in the dining room. Basic things VRBOs usually have were missing - dish soap, extra trash bags, etc. The downstairs bedroom was crowded with a set of bunk beds and a crib plus the queen bed. All beds were comfortable but no top sheet so we did pack our own. - the backyard/ lakefront was the best part but still left a lot to be desired. The dock has seen better days, the one side of the railing was detached so you couldnât put weight on it. The fire pit had chairs around it with wood slabs on the seats instead of cushions. The kayak and paddle boat were in good shape but the paddle board wasnât and the listing said 2, there was only 1. The grass you walked through to get to the dock was overgrown and needed to be cut. Overall, we made the most of it, spending our time mostly outside and had great weather but did have a different experience compared to the 5 star reviews we read.
A great place to stay for a quiet lakefront getaway! The host was very responsive and had many kayaks right there for use. Beautiful dock for fishing as well!
The property was beautiful, sitting right Lake Carobeth. Within the first 20 minutes we were greeted by a friendly deer! The house was very clean and comfortably slept 5, each having our own queen bed and 2 bathrooms was a great plus.
We had an amazing stay at this cabin! There was plenty of space for everyone, and we loved the boats for exploring the lake. The fireplace added a cozy touch to our evenings. Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway.
The location great The only thing was there was a slight no lived in Oder we picked up some candles and even though it had said it had linens it had no top sheets . The house it self was clean and everything worked perfectly.
I cannot recommend this house enough. My family and I had an excellent stay here, and plan on returning. The owner was terrific, kind, and very responsive and detailed. The lake was perfect for backyard fishing and just relaxing with beautiful views. The home was very clean and comfortable, and we enjoyed many game nights! There was alot to enjoy around the area (mini golf, shopping, restaurants, zoo). Highly recommend this home!
Great location. House was great. Having a house on the lake was absolutely perfect. We used the paddle boat and kayaks everyday. Highlight was seeing the family of otters living on the property.
Paulina was the best host Iâve had! She was very welcoming and caring enough to make sure our trip was a great one. She gave detailed check in instructions as well as a nice list of close amenities and stores to ensure we were familiar with the area during our trip! Will be booking again soon!
Not much to look at from the outside, but clean and updated on the inside. Right on the lake with many boats, and kyaks. Fishing was fun and the community pool is nice. The shed is full of life jackets, paddles, bicycles, water guns. There are board games in the house. There is no way to be bored here. Sitting around the fire pit at night roasting Marshmallows with the family was great.
We had an amazing week at this lake home. The house was very clean and cozy. The outside set up and all of the water toys were absolutely perfect. Lots of wild life and the lake was beautiful. Paulina was a wonderful host and we hope to stay at her place again. Highly recommended!
YEARLY GET TOGETHER WITH FRIENDS. QUIET & PEACE FULL RELAXING VACATION. HOUSE WAS CLEAN,PAULINA WAS AN A VERY ACCOMMODATING HOST, WEATHER WAS BEAUTIFUL, LOTS OF FUN ON THE LAKE AND CLOSE TO OTHER ADVENTURES NEAR BY. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
We went for a short 4 day trip and had a very enjoyable time. We were fortunate to have nice weather and was able to enjoy the activities on the lake including kayaking, fishing, row boats and paddle boats. House was clean and comfortable for 5 adults and 2 children. Great communications with Paulina, the owner. Kids enjoyed the community pool ( which got a bit pricey this year --$12 each per day for anyone over 2). However, I would certainly recommend staying here.
Our family has been vacationing in the Poconos for a long time.We stayed in the Big Bass Lake community at the same location for years. Unfortunately that place is no longer available. for the past 3 years we tried 3 different rentals & were dissatisfied. Then we tried here. Bingo !.We had a terrific time & will be returning. On the down side The weather was on the chilly side,(58) the thermostats were locked, the fire place was off,so no heat. Yes we could have called the homeowner part we were all fine. Thank you again.See you next year.
We spent a fun thanksgiving break at this lovely lake house. Even though it was November we still kayaked every day! The house was very comfortable for the 4 of us. The owners were very responsive to my many questions. I have rented other houses before so I am familiar with what you need to bring if you plan on cooking but in case you are a new renter please be aware you need to bring everything you need to cook including salt, pepper, plastic wrap, napkins, and plastic containers.
Very clean property. The open floor plan is great. Some played games at the table while others watched a movie but we could still interact. But that was only when it rained or was dark out. Mostly, we all enjoyed the various boats and fishing. There is plenty of outdoor seating. Plenty of life vests, bikes, and even a few helmets and we saw inflatables in the shed but didn't use any. Saw bald eagle, heron, ducks, geese and tons of deer!
Only suggestion would be some covered space outdoors so could sit out in light rain. (Trees and house do provide some shaded seating though)
