Everything we wanted to see was within walking distance! We had a rental car and only drove from the airport in Boston to the dedicated parking lot. Food, bars, and shops all so close!
The location was perfect and within walking distance to nearly everything. The host was attentive, helpful and responsive. I would stay here again without hesitation!
The property really is right in the middle of everything. We parked our car on the first day and never used it again through our visit. The farthest place you might walk is 17 minutes. The host was incredibly accommodating and made our stay in Salem as memorable as it could be.
The place was quaint, beautiful decor. We loved our stay, the size of the rental was perfect for my spouse and I. Located in the heart of Salem, walking distance to pretty much everything. Had issues with hot water during showers wich caused slight inconvenience. The loft area was very cozy but for someone with reduced mobility....that could be an issue. The owner didn't really get back to us when we reached out.. But overall great stay, great vacation and would definitely recommend.
Very nice apartment, as described. Centrally located to all major attractions and everything you would need is within walking distance. We enjoyed our stay.
Great place to stay with your partner in Salem. In walking distance to many if not all activities you would like to do in town. We had an issue with the heater and Caesar was quick to help, brining a space heater to the property ASAP. I canât recommend this place enough and would definitely stay here again if given the chance. 10/10
Husband and I stayed for a few days to visit Salem. This place is only a couple minute walk onto Essex street. We walked everywhere and only went back to drop bags off and go back out again. We had a rental car we parked at the lot with our included parking pass and never had an issue parking even mid day. Its a perfect place to stay and the check out was the easiest I have ever dealt with. Its clean and very nice! It had everything we needed! We would definitely book again.
This was by far the worst experience Iâve ever had on Vrbo. Did not end up staying and had to book a hotel room. A week after booking I got a message stating this property was in need of repairs and was not available the dates I had booked and paid for. I was given a choice of about 4 other properties nearby. I chose another location. 2 days before check-in I received the check-in information and directions on how to access the property. We were directed to park in a lot about 2 blocks away, no issues there, but the lot had signs posted stating a permit was required. I sent a message on Vrbo asking if a permit was required with no response. Got into the property with access codes provided and it was very clear this property was currently being lived in by someone else. This was my original booking property. No signs of ârepairsâ going on whatsoever. Thank goodness no one was there at that time. This put me and my partner in a potentially dangerous situation. As well as the person who was living there. I called the host and got no response, then received a text from the host stating he was in a meeting and unable to call me. Stated there was a mix up on the website and it didnât update the address of the 2nd property I chose due to ârepairsâ at the original location. I was then texted another address. Arrived at the other address and it was unsatisfactory, wouldâve never chose this property. I did receive a full refund, that is still pending. Do Not Book w/ City Home Suites.
The place was cute and perfect for my boyfriend and I. It was our first time in Salem and I booked on a whim. The access to downtown was clutch! We didnât realize how central we had booked and found it cool to walk everywhere - despite the rain and cold weather. We froze LOL lastly, the loft brought me back, we felt like little kids giggling and looking over the exposed wood beams were a sight. It was all so beautiful. Thank you.
My wife and I recently stayed at this remodeled property in Salem, MA, and overall, it was a great experience. The location is fantasticâperfect for exploring downtown and visiting key attractions like the Witch Museum. Evening walks in the area were especially enjoyable. The home itself has been thoughtfully updated, with a newly remodeled kitchen and bathroom. The shower pressure was excellent, which is always a plus. However, there are a couple of areas that could use improvementâthe couch is stained and could benefit from replacement. Additionally, guests should be aware of the loft sleeping area. If you're uncomfortable with climbing small stairs or sleeping in a loft with low ceilings, this may not be the best fit for you. That said, if youâre looking for a well-located, modern stay in Salem, this place has a lot to offer!
We had a great time for spring break. Close walk to everything. Only down side, you can hear the neighbors early in the morning and keys didn't work right.
