This cozy, dog-friendly home has everything you need for a brief trip or extended stay. Drive 10 minutes to renowned golf courses and easily access the charm of downtown Southern Pines just a mile away. It has ample parking on site, with room for RVs. Enjoy the large porches and huge fenced backyard where you can enjoy the cozy firepit and backyard games. This home is a true gem and we are so pleased to share it with you!

We live about an hour away, so it's possible that my parents who live 5 minutes away could chip in to assist if necessary.
Emergency contact details are on the refrigerator for easy viewing and access once in the home.
The street itself is a charming mix of different homes and families, many that have been there for generations. It has a country feel with all the horse farms nearby.
Down the road is Manly Presbyterian Church, which has been serving the community for 140 years. It's also where my grandparents met!! (4 min walk.)
One more block and you can take in the breathtaking views of expansive horse farms and big skies.
Turn the other direction and you can cross the train tracks to the local brewery, Southern Pines Brewing Company (8 min walk). BHAWK distillery is a short drive down the road.
The entire home and large private backyard are available for guest use.
There is a small garage located next to the home where guests can access backyard games. The garage is not available for parking cars.
The other side of the double lot (separated by a fence) has a large garage and greenhouse. This second lot and its buildings are not available for guest use but the view of the trees and flowers can be enjoyed from the home and outdoor spaces.
This charming home is single-story and situated on a massive double lot. On one side attached to the home is a flat backyard where you can enjoy the fire pit or play outdoor games such as disc golf, croquet, corn hole, soccer, and more. The second lot is full of pine trees and azaleas. Though guests will not have access to the second lot, they can enjoy the flora from the porches and several large windows in the home.
The cozy living room has one large chaise sectional and overlooks the front porch through the large window. The living room includes a 52" Smart TV where you can log into just about any app you choose.
There are four bedrooms, with five total beds:
-The primary bedroom includes a queen bed, stylish barn doors, a walk-in closet, and en suite bathroom with double vanity.
-The second bedroom is large and includes a queen bed, large dresser, and two small closets.
-The third bedroom has a bunk bed with a full-sized bed on the bottom and a twin on top, as well as a dresser and large closet.
-The fourth bedroom has a dedicated workspace, a closet with dresser, and a comfortable twin-sized daybed. It has one large (dreamy) window overlooking the backyard.
Bathrooms:
-The primary bedroom has an en suite bathroom with shower and double vanity. One step in required.
-The full bathroom has a generous double vanity, a bathtub with shower, and a toilet separated by a privacy wall. It has lots of storage to hold toiletries for multiple people.
The kitchen has everything you could want for an extended stay and for those who want to take advantage of some home cooking. It includes a K-pod coffee machine for single servings or a pot of coffee. Multiple flavors of coffee and tea are available.
The dining nook overlooks the back deck and features a large window with views of the second wooded lot. It includes a table that seats six, with two folding chairs to add seating as needed. Swinging doors off of the dining room lead to the laundry area.
Tiny guests (aka babies and kids) are welcome here - a high chair and toys are available. The littles will love the trains!
The property is just over one hour from Raleigh Durham International Airport (RDU).
It is mere minutes from the local train station where you can disembark from your Amtrak and stumble straight into the charm of downtown Southern Pines.
A car is the easiest way to access downtown (4 minute drive), though it would be possible for more active guests to bike, jog, or walk.
AIR CONDITIONING: Fantastic A/C keeps you cool even on the most humid days! We use a Nest thermostat. You can adjust it yourself, and we are glad to update the schedule of the air conditioning to temperatures and timing that feel good to you.
GOLF: We are minutes by car from some of the best golf courses in the country. There are over 40 nearby golf courses throughout the area!

TRAINS: The passing trains are a feature of the home. Though we have never woken up to the sound of a passing train, please be aware that you could hear one or more trains during night hours. For this reason we provide earplugs and a sound machine, but please bring whatever you need for you and your littles to sleep comfortably. (The train goes right through downtown, so this is a common noise heard throughout town - but not everybody gets to wave to the trains like we do!)
PRE-ARRIVAL FORM: In order to better understand the details of your party and to ensure you have seen and agree to the rules of the home, you will receive a pre-arrival form upon booking. We will not share your personal PIN to access the home until this pre-arrival form is received.
KEYLESS ENTRY: We are a keyless home. Your personal PIN to enter the home will open the front and back doors throughout your stay. The PIN will not work outside of your booking dates.
KIDS & BABIES: We offer lots of toys for babies and toddlers! Just leave them out to be cleaned if used. We also have a baby tub, toddler toilet, and booster seat. If you need to use a high chair during your stay, please let us know ahead of time. We do not currently offer a pack n play. Check out local gear renting businesses, there are lots!
PET REQUIREMENTS: We are happy to host your furry friend so long as they fit the following profile. Dogs that demonstrate anxious behavior (scratching at floors or doors, excessive barking, breaking blinds or window treatments to look out windows) or those who are not housebroken are not a good fit.
-One dog allowed 40lbs or less with disclosure. Pet fee of $50 applies. ($55 if booking through Airbnb to include taxes.)
-Dog must be non-aggressive and fully housebroken.
-Dog must be kept in a crate inside the home when guests are not present.
-Dog is not allowed directly on furniture without being on top of a sheet or blanket.
-The backyard is fully fenced in but it may not be 'dog proof' depending on the agility of the dog. Dog must be observed while in the backyard.
If you bring a pet on property without disclosing or otherwise are found to break these pet rules above you will be charged a fee of $200 in addition to the $50 pet fee. Thank you for minding these pet rules!
TAX RATE: Please note that Moore County voted to increase the occupancy tax by 3% which will go into effect for all stays on January 1, 2026 and later. The tax rate will be reflected in the final costs of your booking platform, or the difference may need to be requested retroactively if the occupancy tax rate changes after booking. Paul and Deanna are originally from Southern California and met at UC Irvine. Deanna has lived in Madrid and Barcelona, Spain, as well as Valparaiso, Chile. We lived in Washington, DC and Mount Rainier, MD for many years. We love being able to provide a feeling of "home" so that guests can connect with the communities we love. We enjoy traveling, the beach, and being parents to our amazing 5-year-old. Deanna and Paul run Resonance Holistic Living, a wellness business based in Cary, NC, where Paul provides acupuncture and wellness coaching. Retreats are available from our properties.

This home has been in our family for over 100 years. Southern Pines is incredibly charming with a bustling downtown full of small businesses, with incredible access to world-class golf courses just 10-15 minutes away. The home itself is surrounded by country-feeling roads and beautiful horse farms, ideal for a walk or jog.
Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?
The home was built by my great-grandparents Grace and Tom in 1921! My grandmother Vivian was born in the home in 1924. My grandparents moved to California in 1964 but returned to this home in their retirement years. My sister and I would travel to this home for a couple of weeks each summer to visit. We would marvel at the summer lightning storms, wave at passing trains, enjoy sweet tea in rocking chairs on the back deck, and play croquet and badminton in the backyard until it got dark.
The home was recently brought back to life by various members of the family through upgrades and renovations. The kitchen sink, hardwood floors, interior doors, and bathroom wall cabinets remain original to the home.
My husband and I have been STR hosts at two other properties in the DC-area. We now live in the Triangle and are thrilled to have worked with my parents and father-in-law to pour love back into this home to turn it into what you see now. We are delighted to share such a special town and property with the guests who will stay here.
