Each house is ~650 sq. ft., with king bed, modern bathroom, a living room/fully equipped kitchen, and an outdoor patio. One queen or two twin airbeds can be provided to sleep up to two more, or two couples could rent both houses. The other house is in a separate listing: Pedernales River Guesthouses - PONDER. Stairs take you down to the river. No pets. Free Level 2 EV charger for J1227 and Tesla. The two guesthouses are on 15 acres overlooking the Pedernales River. The view from the houses is gorgeous. We (your hosts) live on the property with our cat and golden retriever. We share the environment with an abundance of wild creatures. The river is clean and when the water is high it's good for swimming. When the water is low you can explore on the rocks. We also have two friendly horses you can visit. This listing for BLUE. There's a separate listing for an identical adjacent house named PONDER.
This place was absolutely stunning. Unfortunately we couldnât stay here long but we really wish we could have. This place is unbelievable and pictures really do not do justice. We will forsure be coming back for random weekends throughout the year.
Beautiful property; very comfortable accommodations. Hosts were awesome; very responsive and accommodating. The house is fantastic, very modern and clean, remote but not far from town and attractions. Very peaceful and inviting. Every detail is well thought out. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here, and would love to return soon!
Not enough adjectives actually. Breathtaking view, impeccably clean, open spaces inside masterfully decorated in hip current contemporary decor, every possible amenity imaginable plus more to assure our total comfort, from assorted snacks, drinks, electric fireplace, heated toilet seat-bidet, ..just totally incredible. All glass front facing Pedernales and miles of acres welcomed the dawn and 'brought the outside in' as far as views of the vistas. Hosts were always responsive and addressed any questions. This place is so unique, it's hard to describe. It offers a true respite from 'city busy crazy life' : silence and tranquil peace amid the grandeur of the many acres in view except at night when the crickets' hum and bullfrogs' songs are hypnotizing. We appreciate the reasonable fee and totally hope to return.
Jeff and I moved to Johnson City from Austin in 2017. Jeff built our house and the guesthouses. I'm a Professor at UT Austin. We like having more wildlife around us. We love living on the Pedernales River, and being among the birds and other creatures that we share the land with.
