Bluebird Mountain Home: Dog Friendly, No Step Master

Bluebird Mountain Home is a beautifully decorated, thoughtfully designed, light filled, cozy house nestled among the trees on Wintergreen Resort. This home offers NO steps from the front drive to the main level master suite and an impressive main level Billiard room and screen porch. Your dog is welcome in our dog friendly home with our fenced dog run area, there is a $150 pet fee per stay for up to 2 dogs. Guests have access to the community pool which is a short walk from the house. Relax with tons of books, games, puzzles, or unwind by playing billiards or guitar.

We have stayed in our fair share of vacation rentals. Bluebird Mountain Home was over the top. The house was impeccably kept and clean. The beds and pillows felt like home, which seem silly, but is important to us. There is an extensive book and game collection, no need to veg out in front of the tv on rainy days! Even our dog was fully accommodated with beds and toys ( he really enjoyed the toys). The house even has double refrigerators and ovens to accommodate large gatherings for holidays! We even had a pool tournament! It was awesome and we will be going back for sure!

What a wonderful place to stay! Our family absolutely loved it. John and his wife were very communicative, easy to work with, and accommodating. The price was very reasonable, and the location amazing! Short jog to the slopes, the spa, and the mountain fun. Parking is easy and generous, and once you enter this house--WOW! It is stunning! Comfortable, cozy, fun, and every amenity you could need for older or younger family members. We loved the games room and family room. The enclosed porch area is great too! And very nice little touches here and there with cute woodland animal-themed decor in the upstairs bedrooms and a great master bedroom downstairs. Plenty of space in the house. Well-appointed kitchen. We could not ask for more! You will absolutely love your stay here. :D

This property was just as good if not better than it looks in the photos. Very clean, roomy and comfortable, very thoughtfully supplied. The most dog-friendly place we’ve ever stayed at. There was a minor issue when we arrived and it was resolved effectively by the owner in a timely manner. The best VRBO we’ve ever stayed at.

By far our best VRBO experience! The house was immaculate and the up-services were just amazing. We stayed a full week didn’t want for anything. The listing pics really don’t do it justice. Lovely home, very spacious, beautifully decorated…was absolutely perfect for our multi-generational family

Very clean and well stocked house that truly feels like a home away from home. Neighborhood is quiet and separated nicely from the ski resort area. Family enjoyed the weekend greatly and we hated to see our stay come to an end.

Beautiful Stay w/ Fun for Everyone

Beautiful, clean property with plenty of space for parking. Hosts are very kind and even left treats for our dog! Screened in porch was a great plus. If it’s a rainy or lazy day, there’s something for everyone and plenty to do inside. Definitely a great place to stay!

Fall Family Weekend

WOW!

My husband and I (in our mid-70’s) were looking for a place that was more “senior friendly” than most places at Wintergreen. The no-step entry and the fact that the master bedroom was on the first floor was what caught our attention. Then we saw that they were dog friendly AND had a small fenced in yard that was set up for dogs! I adequately express how wonderful the house is. It had everything you could possibly need…an amazing kitchen, a wide range of games, books and dvds…appropriate for a wide range of ages…Perfect for families from babies to teenagers to seniors like us. Even toys, dog beds and biscuits for the doggie guests! Truly outstanding. (Plus a neighborhood pool you could walk to.)

Awesome Mountain Paradise

Just, wow! What a great experience in beautiful Wintergreen. I can’t say enough about this lovely home. Thoughtfully decorated and carefully stocked with everything you need for a comfortable stay. First, the location was fantastic, a hidden gem close to the hiking trails and a quick drive to the mountain lodge. The kitchen had two refrigerators and all the gadgets needed to prepare a meal for a crowd. We loved the big screen porch and gas grill. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms clean and new. This house seemed more like the loved home of a favorite relative than a rental property, The attention to detail was impressive. We would happily rent here again. Thank you John!

AMAZING! BEST VRBO I've ever stayed in

I've stayed in many VRBOs/AirBnBs over the years and this one was FABULOUS!! First, the owner, John, was extremely responsive and answered all of my questions. I was a bit concerned due to the listing did not have any reviews yet (new to market). John put any concerns at rest. Prior to our arrival, John provided all details and our check in went smoothly. When we arrived we were blown away. EVERYTHING was perfect and even nicer than the pictures. The house was extremely clean and smelled fresh and welcoming. John had left us a sweet note and welcome gift (2 bottles of wine). The kitchen was AMAZING-TWO refridgerators and two ovens. Every appliance was provided...toaster, microwave, coffee maker, keurig (he even provided coffee pods and creamers in fridge!!). Family room was sooo lovely. Perfectly decorated, stone fireplace, and candles that came on automatically at night-such a nice touch. Outside decks were awesome-grill provided & also a screened area with candle provided & lovely lighting at night. We enjoyed our wine & food in the evening looking out into the lovely surrounding woods. VERY quiet and private. Each bedroom & bath was perfect including every amenity even shampoo, conditioner, qtips, cotton balls, make up cloths, etc. Beds were super comfortable. Laundry room big & spacious. There is a community pool just down the street but unfortunately, we didn't have time to visit it. Only regret is we couldn't stay longer-We'll be back!! Thanks John for a perfect stay!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Bluebird Mountain Home. It was by far the cleanest, most equipped and comfortable vacation rental home we have ever stayed at. The beds were comfortable, and there were plenty of towels and more storage space than we needed! We especially enjoyed the screened in porch and hope to utilize it on a return trip this summer. Our dog loved the bin of toys and milkbones. We felt like valued guests and will definitely be back!
