Dave and his a Family were a great match for the House - they had plenty of room to spread out and have a relaxing Beach vacation. From the deck with Webber grill, to closeness to beach and town to just quality family time, they enjoyed all that the house, Chatham and the Cape have to offer. We hope they will come back next year and start a Family tradition.

Jessica and her Family were wonderful guests and the House worked well for them. They all had room to spread out, spend time together or quiet time reading too. The House was a great base for their activities and explorations from mid to outer Cape. We would love to have them back next year.

Wonderful Vacation Home

My family and I had a wonderful vacation in Chatham. This home is in a quiet neighborhood on a beautiful piece of property. It’s a spacious and comfortable home. We enjoyed the stunning views along our walks to the beach. Getting to downtown Chatham was easy and enjoyable.

Super fun

We always have a wonderful time staying at Barbara’s home. We love everything about the place. It’s a short walk to the beach and Taylor pond. Great is you like to paddle board. The house has a perfect layout especially if you have kids that want their own space.

Kandi and her Family have made it a tradition to set aside a week in August for Family Time at our House. It fits this very active Family for the variety of sports, outdoor activity, restaurants, Friends and together time. Clean and spacious house!

When you think of the Cape, tornados rarely come to mind, but on our stay we had one in the area! Barbara was simply phenomenal in her support and check ins during the process. A great family friendly neighborhood, and a nice house- plus the added benefit of a responsive and caring owner made for a memorable trip.

We could not have had more resourceful guests during a rare tornado on the Cape during their week. It was quite a challenge with 4 children to continue vacation during the power outage. They were calm, creative and strong. The neighbors were immediately out to assess any damage which was minimal in Chatham. While this could have been much worse, Jarret and Family were able to continue their vacation fun. We hope they return next year for more adventures .

Perfect with a FANTASTIC host!

We had a wonderful stay at this home. It’s was clean, comfortable and in a great location. The outdoor deck was great for chilling out in the shade at the end of the day. It had everything we needed and then some. Our host, Barbara, was the best. She went out of her way to make sure we had a great experience. We would definitely book this home again. These Guests were amazing from the first day of their 2 week stay. A non-functioning Coffee Pot tested our ( Guests and Owner) ability to work closely and quickly ( on a weekend) to find and secure a new machine by the next day , thanks to Lance’s willingness to drive 30 minutes to pick it up! I feel we had a cooperative working relationship for their entire stay. Keeping an eye on the house, watering the heat parched lawn, and giving me feedback on House functioning , all helped me make sure their stay was relaxing and fun. I truly look forward to hosting them again when their travels bring them to The Cape.

Great house and location

Barbara’s house was spacious, comfortable and clean, and she was very helpful and responsive. Our family of four had more than enough space and privacy, and everything we needed to make ourselves at home when we weren’t out enjoying the beaches and all of the other activists in the area. I appreciated the helpful instructions for appliances and other items, and the house was very well cared for. And, the location was perfect for us - a quiet street, about a 15 minute walk to Cockle Cove Beach, and a short drive into the center of Chatham (5-10 minutes) and also to the grocery store in Harwich. It is a great rental and we plan to stay again.

We were so glad that Laura and her Family chose our home in Chatham as a base for all their daily adventures. There was plenty of space for all 4 of them when relaxing together and the kitchen worked well when they cooked at home. Now that they know the Cape and Islands, next years vacation will add even more exciting adventures. We are excited to have them back.

Exactly what we were hoping for

We recently stayed at this property for a week with my wife, three young children and slightly mobile limited father and mother-in-law. The layout was great for both parties; easy access for our older family-members and easily made safe for our younger children. The overall condition of the property was great. The house is a bit older but did a good job balancing the old "cape charm" with the right touches of well-kept and clean modern amenities. We noted there was a recent change in ownership of this property, so we were a little cautious assuming all the great legacy reviews would hold up, but we are very happy to say that the new owner, Aniesa, was great! Her communication was top notch and it was very clear she was passionate about making this a great experience and destination for her renters. Overall, really no complaints and we would definitely be happy to stay here again!

Amazing Family Vacation in Chatham

We couldn't have asked for a better first experience in Chatham. A young family of four, the home was perfect for our needs. Barbara was an attentive host from the booking process, leading up to the vacation and following up on our stay. She was very informative and guided us on what to bring and things to consider doing while in Chatham. Other things to note: -Bright spacious house tastefully decorated and comfortable furniture and bedding. -Spacious bedrooms and bathrooms for the family (ages ranging from 3 to 72 ) -easy access to quiet beach (Cockle Cove) -Fully Stocked Kitchen with all the cooking utensils needed for all types of meals (grilling, seafood, mac n cheese) -Gorgeous back deck perfect for eating, relaxing and spending time with family -Spacious front yard perfect to pickup toddler wiffle ball -Conveniently located near Chatham center, local sailing and boat cruises/excursions and near rt 28 and 137 We can't wait to go back next year! This Extended Family was a perfect fit for the house and Chatham. They were able to relax and spread out, cook, eat together, socialize and play outside. Close to “ Family friendly” Chatham center, with its shops and restaurants, they were also able to sail with friends and do a seal cruise as well as enjoy Cockle Cove Beach , just down the street. We look forward to having them all back next Summer for more fun and memorable adventures.

Lovely, quiet location in Chatham

Working with Aniesa to arrange our stay was wonderful. She was very attentive and friendly and offered lots of recommendations for local beaches and restaurants nearby. I much prefer working with homeowners for this reason, as opposed to agencies that manage many homes. The personal touches make it much more special. I wish more homes on VRBO were owned by individuals. Not a fan of the big organizations who buy up all the homes in an area. We rented the house for the location, but also for the number of beds. Six women on a college reunion weekend. It’s very hard to find that many beds in any home. The set up was perfect, with plenty of room for us inside and outside on the back deck. Outdoor shower is always a bonus. Bedrooms were spacious, The second living room space in the basement would be perfect for older children. Kitchen was well stocked, as was the bookcase full of everything from beach reads to mysteries. The neighborhood is cute and quiet and a quick walk to a beach, and an ice cream shop! Close to town and other activities as well. additional bonus was the wraparound driveway able to easily fit six cars. I would highly recommend this property and look forward to staying there in the future.

A Charming Comfortable South Chatham Home

I stayed at this house the second week of July with my daughter and her family. The house was very comfortable, clean and attractively furnished. It was in a lovely neighborhood with summer flowers everywhere. They even lined the driveway behind the house. Barbara, the owner, was very helpful when I was planning the visit. She patiently answered my questions about cooking utensils and supplies in the kitchen. When we were staying at the house, she was always available if I texted her with questions. I couldn't help but get the feeling that she wanted her guests to enjoy their visit to her home. My son-in-law and 8 year old grandson loved the TV room in the basement. It was their man cave. I liked the Weber grille so much that I'm considering buying one like it. Last, but not least, my daughter and granddaughter enjoyed the many channels and available sites on the living room TV. My daughter re-watched episodes from Game of Thrones to be ready for the new season. My 12 year old granddaughter turned to Netflix for episodes of Anne with an E. You might say this house was very comfortable for all of us.

Mary and her Family are seasoned Cape Cod travelers and the house was a perfect fit for them. Mary's love of cooking was supported by the newer Weber gas grill and kitchen as they cooked meals together . The Lower Level living area worked well for them as a separate area for TV watching and activities. Wireless internet throughout the house allows independence for everyone. Beach memories started to be made before they even got to the house and throughout the entire week, they went often to explore Chatham's many beaches. Mary's Family enjoyed every day to its fullest and I would love to have them back next Season.

Comfortable home

Lovely home in a quiet neighborhood. We stayed the last week in August 2015. The house was clean and the kitchen was well stocked. The bedrooms are spacious with plenty of closets. We had eight people in the house and it didn't feel cramped. We all felt we had plenty of space. We enjoyed the semi-private deck, which was also a good size with comfortable seating. One side of the deck faces a wooded area. It is a 15-20 minute walk to Cockle Cove beach. There is a $15.00 parking fee per day if you need to bring the car. There are also many ponds close by that have free parking. There is a large Stop and Shop less than a 10 minute drive away. Chatham Main Street is not far (maybe 10 minutes). It had a lot of free parking (but a couple of times we had to be patient and wait for a space), many shops/boutiques and a few restaurants. Chatham is a lovely area and is centrally located on the Cape. We ventured to Eastham, Provincetown and Hyannis. The owner, Barbara Dolan, provided excellent service. She was very nice and accommodating. She even called us on our way up to tell us we could check in early!! She made us feel like it was important to her that we were comfortable in her home. I would definitely stay in this property again. It's a lovely home.

Summer vacation

This is a great house! We loved our week here. It’s not a huge house but has plenty of space! The deck is private and big and provided a whole additional “living” space. My daughter was able to work (in her bathing suit and sunscreen!) all week on the deck with the strong wifi the house provides. The house was immaculate and had everything we could need. The beds are very comfortable, and that is a key criteria for us. The outdoor shower is great! The location of the house is the best. It’s under a mile walk to the beach so our morning walks included walking down to Cockle Cove and back up past the house then around and down to Ridgevale (the next beach over) and back. It’s a wonderful, quiet neighborhood but with the easiest access to the Main Street (28) and around the corner from the Rail Trail. The house is about equidistant between downtown Chatham and Harwich Port, both of which have wonderful restaurants and shops, but most importantly amazing ice cream. The house is a short 20-25 minute drive to Nauset Beach in Orleans and the National Seashore Beaches up the coast which are phenomenal (buy the National Parks pass if you will go to one of those beaches 3 or more times - worth it!! Can buy the pass at the beach entrance - it’s good for a year!). It was only about 25 minutes to Dennis which also had a great beach and restaurants. (Go there for sunset!!) Barbara is wonderful to work with and provides a wealth of information. She gave great, easy instructions all over the house and was extremely responsive to any questions I had. I highly recommend this house!

Downtown Chatham is a short drive , with Harwich and Dennis nearby. Morning walks, biking, exploring the National Seashore Beaches filled their days while Ice Cream shops and Marion’s Pie Shop were also part of their vacation fun. We look forward to welcoming this active Family back to Chatham whenever the Cape is in their Vacation Plans.

We had a great stay on Island View. The host Barbara was very attentive, the house was great location and a great size and central to various attractions in Chatham, Harwich and other surrounding areas. Would highly recommend.

There was enough space for them both inside and outside on the deck with table, chairs , and umbrella for dining and Webber Grill, and overlooking the private wooded area. They took great care of the house and watered the lawn during dry days. We would happily welcome them back next year.

Great Home To Vacation in Chatham

This home is the perfect place for a family looking to visit Chatham. Short distance from the beach. The home is roomy, clean and nicely laid out. Perfect for a family. Right near Rt 28, so a quick ride into town. Owner is very helpful with information and quick to answer any questions. We had a great vacation and highly recommend this home.

Bill and his Family were a great fit for our home for their vacation. Already familiar with Chatham, they used the house’s close proximity to Beaches, Chatham Center, Harwich and beyond. Bill and his Family took great care of the house, even watering the lawn when dry. The space in the house allowed them time together and separate time too. We hope they choose our home for their next Chatham Vacation.

Family Reunion in Chatham

This home is in a great location on a private street in a quiet neighborhood of other beautiful homes. A short walk to the nearby Cockle Cove beach was a morning routine for us. The home was equipped with everything we needed. Don't overlook this home when looking to stay in Chatham!

Having Larry and his Family stay at our home in Chatham for their Vacation week was truly a pleasure. Larry was so easy to work with, from the planning of their week to their arrival. An owner favorite activity, ( early morning walks to Cockle Cove Beach ), became a wonderful way for them to start their days. We would welcome back Larry and his Family anytime their Travels bring them back to the Cape.

Great stay!

Good location, clean, airy and beautiful home with plenty of space and a nice yard/spacious deck. Owner was very easy to reach and helpful. Close to the beach and not far from downtown. Highly recommend.

Super fun

This was our third season renting Barbara’s home and we truly love staying there. Every morning a few of us would jog to the beach and back. Its1.8 miles round trip. It’s such a pretty walk or run. Taylor pond is great if you have a paddle board. It’s a short walk. The bike trail is so fun. We biked to town almost every day. We really enjoy Dog Fish Taco which is super close. The house is perfect. It’s clean and laid out so kids can hang in the finished walk out basement and the adults can enjoy upstairs. The deck is fun to eat outside. Everyone enjoyed the outside shower. Oh and the beds - very comfortable. It’s a very easy place to vacation. So many great memories.

It’s such a pleasure to have this Family return for the 3rd year. They enjoy each other through many different shared activities, from paddle boarding at Taylor’s Pond, jogging to the Beach, Beach Yoga at Lighthouse, fishing, swimming, grilling dinner and playing corn hole and cards back at the house. Two levels of living allows space for Family together time and separate activities . We so look forward to welcoming them back in the Future .

Peaceful

The house was very clean and the air conditioner worked great. The deck was great for morning coffee and evening wine. The neighborhood is lovely and very quiet. It is about a 15 minute walk to the beach and there is a cute shop on the way! The beds were comfortable and there were three bathrooms which was great. The owner Barbara was a perfect host from beginning to end. The town is also close and you have to get a burger at mom and pops. We had a really good time and hope to go back.

Lisa and her Family were wonderful Guests and enjoyed the House and its location to the fullest. The little Gift Shop on the walk to Cockle Cove Beach has an “ old Cape” charm. New Central Air helped everyone relax after a day exploring and the 3 bedrooms and bathrooms plus outdoor shower allow room to spread out. They enjoyed the quiet neighborhood and its location close to Downtown Chatham and Harwichport. We couldn’t ask for better Guests and hope they return next year for another Chatham vacation.

Fantastic rental

This is the 2nd time we have stay here and we couldn't be happier. House met all our needs and the homeowner is a joy to work with. House was clean, fully stocked, and was in a great centralized location only minutes away from the beach. This is our favorite home away from home.

Jon and his Allison returned this year for another extended Vacation in Chatham, and another year of exploring. The House works perfectly for them regarding location and size. I loved hearing about attractions, and seafood restaurants that I wasn’t aware of. They graciously shared their” finds” with the House Welcome Book. They also take care of the house like Homeowners and are perfectly considerate Guests. It will be a pleasure to welcome them back next year.

We had a really fun time ....

We had a wonderful time. Super clean and perfect for our needs. We love to paddle board and Taylor Pond is a short walk with a nice ramp to put our boards in the water. At night we would walk to Taylor Pond and go for a swim. Cockle Cove beach and Ridgevale are a short walk. Close to the bike trail so bring your bikes. We enjoyed going for a bike ride into town. A very comfortable house with the perfect layout for a family with kids. We were really lucky to have been able to rent this wonderful home.

This adventurous Family was “ on the go” every day of their week! The House was a perfect base for all their activities like paddle boarding and golf. With plenty of space, they could gather together for grilling on the deck or have private time on 2 levels. We would welcome them back whenever The Cape is in their plans.

3 generations enjoyed their time

Clean house. Owner has everything labeled - very helpful. Great space for grandparents and grandkids to play. Can’t walk to beach but can walk to ice cream. Deck is beautiful and yard is also fun.

We really enjoyed having this extended Family spend their vacation at our House. There was plenty of room for all of them to relax and enjoy each other from grilling to exploring the Beach to Ice cream. Many adults who have visited in the past have loved the 8/10 th mile walk to the beach with peeks of the ocean as you get closer. Families with kids, however, and beach equipment, lunch, snacks, towels do usually drive to the beach. We would certainly welcome this Family back next year and hope they choose Chatham to make more memories.
