Welcome to Lake Ariel Cottage, a spacious 4-bedroom, 3-bath getaway located in The Hideout in Lake Ariel, PA. With room for up to 11 guests, this inviting home offers plenty of space for families and groups to relax, reconnect, and enjoy a Poconos escape.

The bright, open-concept main living area features soaring ceilings, abundant natural light, comfortable seating, and a cozy fireplace. The well-equipped kitchen opens to a large dining area, making meals and time together easy. Step outside onto the spacious deck to enjoy the peaceful wooded surroundings, outdoor dining, and grilling.

When it’s time for some fun, head to the game room, where guests can enjoy foosball, basketball, TV, and plenty of space to hang out. An additional loft sitting area provides another comfortable spot to unwind.

With 4 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, multiple gathering spaces, a game room, fireplace, and outdoor deck, Lake Ariel Cottage offers the space and amenities you need for a relaxing getaway in The Hideout—whether you’re visiting for summer fun, fall foliage, ski season, or a quiet weekend in the mountains.

****Please Note: This home is located in a secured, gated, private community. You will need to fill out a rental application that will be sent to you by our property manager. This will need to be completed and signed, (to include the names, ages, addresses and relationships to you for all of your guests) for entrance into the community. This will need to be completed within 72 hours of your arrival or the community will assess a $100 late fee that you will be responsible for. You may not exceed the max amount of people allowed and there are no more than 5 cars allowed in the driveway. No other guests can visit the lot while you are there. Items provided in the home to include games, appliances etc. are subject to change without notice.****

Property was great. Price was great for last minute booking. The only 2 negatives were the upkeep of the landscaping and the grill was dirty. There was a fire pit with weeds growing in it, so we didn't use it and we had to clean the grill thoroughly before the first use. Other than that, the property was beautiful and close to the lake.

Host was wonderful! From the booking process to check out- it was a breeze! They answer so quickly, are happy to help and the communication was super easy and quick. Everything looks like the photos the sheets, beds and bathrooms were very clean. They leave you bathroom amenities, provide starter paper towels, sponge dish soap etc and toilet tissue. The cleaning people left a lovely snores basket that was such a nice touch and sweet surprise! We will definitely be booking again. Also- For a pet friendly home it didn’t smell and there were no signs of fur. In fact I have allergies to pets that shed and I was fine the whole stay! My dogs were very comfortable too! Thanks for a memorable stay and for your wonderful hospitality!

Beautiful community, clean house, easy and prompt communication. The main reasons for 4 stars are a few small things: it could use a few dressers in the bedrooms, for stays longer than 2 nights, it would be so much more convenient to have a dresser in each bedroom. Just a bit more condiments/extras in the kitchen. We have used VRBO for over a decade, always gone to 4.5 star or higher, they always have beyond just salt and pepper. I understand food safety is paramount, but going beyond salt and pepper only (at least for longer stays) would be so much nicer /easier… you can only eat restaurant food for so long..We have had many hosts in the past provided a stater kits for coffee, cooking oil, basic spices, sugar, etc,. The marshmallow set was a nice touch. The shower curtain rod in one of the downstairs bathroom needs replacement. All above are small points, with changes, that can send the property to 5 stars each visit.

Great Stay

The home was absolutely gorgeous… Couple of things that should have been taken care of like the grill being dirty and lots of dead insects in the home. Overall this was a great stay I will definitely be coming back!!

Thanks Joshua for the great review and feedback. Unfortunately the bugs are No See Ums and as quickly as we clean them up they are there again every morning. We do have a pest control contract that does monthly maintenance on the property but some bugs just are resistant and being in the woods and near the lake, this can happen. Sometimes the guest forget to scrape the grill, but this is now part of a cleaning check list so thank you! Always remember that you can call us at anytime for any issue and we will address it. We do look forward to hosting you again.

Weekend at The Hideout

We loved our cute little cottage in the woods. It was perfect for us and our family staying with us. The host even included baby items for my 1 year old nephew. The house had plenty of room for the 5 adults and 4 kids and we enjoyed grilling and just enjoying family time together.

Great House and lots to do in the Hideout. Only negative is terrible wifi. Constantly lost the connection every day.
