Check-in and check-out were easy. Everything went smoothly. House had everything we needed - PLENTY of towels for everyone which was awesome. My only complaint would be the bed sheets - they are like a t-shirt/flannel I am guessing microfiber material so it made sleeping pretty hot. The added fans in each room was fantastic though. That is being nitpicky - overall it was a great experience - exactly what we were looking for!

It was not a bad place at all if you’re looking to use it as a hotel room sleep and leave. It was not disclosed that the house it literally in a gas station parking lot. we wanted to use it to cook and use as a house setting. The only can opener that was in there was broken, and there was no cooking oil and seasonings were expired. No tinfoil/Ziploc bags. No cleaner that we could use or air fresheners in bathrooms. We did ok with the basement rooms because our kids are 15 and 20 but the stairs are very steep we couldn’t take other adults down there.

We take great pride in this home and work hard to keep it immaculate for every guest. In all our experience hosting, we have never had a guest leave our home in the condition this guest did. Our cleaner immediately sent photos documenting dirty dishes, a significant amount of food left in the refrigerator, food and filth on the counters, alcohol in the freezer, and garbage left in the kitchen despite the online checkout instructions directing guests to take it outside. Our listing specifically states that the home is next to a gas station. That information was disclosed before booking. We will check the can opener. Had you contacted us during your stay, we would have had the opportunity to address your concerns. We welcome feedback, but we also expect guests to treat our home with care, respect and follow the checkout instructions. The way you left our home was completely unacceptable.

We were here for our son’s wedding at a venue nearby. The accommodations were perfect and so convenient for us all. Lots of family time spent in the livingroom/dining!

The place was very clean and had everything we needed. 4 bedrooms were nice. Great back yard. Lots of tvs. Close to my brothers, which was perfect.

Girls weekend

We had a great time showing out of state visitors around the Duluth, Lake Superior area. It was wonderful to have a clean and comfy spot to land, chat and sleep at the end of a day of adventures. Thank you.

The fireplace was nice and warm while we all gathered together watching Christmas movies in the living room. The host was amazing and there for us if we had any questions or needs. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen is a very nice size. Lots of room for everyone to gather or sit somewhere quiet and read a book. The house was very clean and had everything we needed and more! Plenty of parking. It was very convenient to have a Country store right next to us. The bedrooms are nice sizes also.We would definitely stay here again.

Quaint, peaceful & relaxing & more

Could not have asked for a better experience. The owner is so accommodating, sweet and communicative. The house had everything we needed, was quiet, cozy, and a perfect location for us. We loved everything about this stay & the bed was soft & comfortable, which was a necessity for my bad back. I will 100% stay here again in the future. I loved the sweet time we had when we there I look forward to future stays.

Very clean and tidy beds were very comfortable house had everything one would need. Grandkids loved the fossbal table and games. Back yard and deck were very nice kids had fun.

Ivy Black Groom's Family Headquarters

Rustic was the perfect location and size for the groom's family's 4-night stay. We were able to host our in-laws for a meal and store wedding decorations and suits in the office for the big day! The comfortable king-size beds provided much-needed rest. The living room was cozy with the fire yet large enough to finish last-minute decorations/planning. We loved the Christmas tree giving us the cheer of the holiday season :)

Nice home, newly renovated

We stayed here as it was close to Black Ivy wedding venue. The home is newly renovated, really clean and well stocked with any amenity you could need. The only thing that took us by surprise was that it is located at a gas station. We were not expecting it when our GPS had said we arrived. Though we always knew when we were getting close as we would follow the gas station signs. A perk was buy one get one ice cream coupons the owners provided us with.

I just want to clarify for future renters, we are located *Next to a gas station*. We do plan to put up a fence up in the front in the near future. The back yard is very secluded.

Property is spacious and clean. Kitchen has all of the essentials and there is plenty of space to spread out and relax. The house is on the same property as a gas station / convenience store which was unexpected. We just closed the shades and it wasn't a bother. Would stay again for another trip to Duluth area.
