Looking for a Quaint, Quiet Getaway for two? The “Stuga”is an authentic log cabin nestled on the South shore of Lake Superior - 3 miles west from the quaint town of Port Wing, Wisconsin. The Spectacular Views and beach access are unique to the area. The cabin is conveniently located as the halfway point between Superior,Wi. and Bayfield, Wi. The Stuga /Cottage is decorated in Swedish decor with appreciation for the simple but basic needs for a comfortable stay. The sleeping loft with loft stairway steps provides you with a comfortable queen bed and awesome water views.(Be sure to use handrails and keep your backside towards the lake when going up and down). The cabin is heated by a beautiful gas stove fireplace, along with an electric wall heater as needed.A flat screen TV with Dish is provided along with great WiFi access. You have access to a private fire pit with fire wood provided . The beautiful log swing (shared by both cabins)is a perfect place to enjoy the amazing sunsets and nature. You have your own private viewing bench. The beach access is “steps” located by the other cabins’ viewing bench(to your left). You have a Webber grill available for your use.There is an information basket filled with brochures & suggestions for local attractions to see & do in the adjoining towns and area. Besides the Great Lake, there are numerous Waterfalls, hiking trails, & rivers for kayaking, fishing etc..
The town of Port Wing has “The Johnson Store” for all of your basic needs: groceries, gas, excellent fresh & smoked fish, etc.. There are two bar/ restaurants, a post office, Marina & beaches. The next two towns along the Scenic hwy heading towards Bayfield ,are Herbster ,& Cornecopica,both have restaurants , shops & beaches to explore. But if you’re looking to just relax and enjoy the beautiful views of Lake Superior.. you needn’t go anywhere… you’ve arrived!
