Relax on your own private lakefront property, gather by the fire pit making cherished memories…sip your coffee and spot the eagles soaring above the treetops.

The owners lovingly call this Kayak Cove because this beautiful location draws everyone to the endless ways to enjoy the lakes. Whether you prefer the adrenaline rush of a jet ski or the peaceful glide in a Kayak, this location is for you. Bring your own boat and use the private dock during your stay. Two kayaks are available for our guests to enjoy. A public boat launch is minutes from the property and after you experience the intimacy of Washington Lake, take your group on the channel that connects you to the adventures on Shawano Lake. Conveniently located minutes from the golf course, numerous dining options and casinos.

Relaxing getaway

We spent a few days here. We enjoyed the cabin—it had everything we needed!! And it was cozy and comfortable to just hang out—even with our teenagers 😊. We enjoyed the water kayaking and fishing. Shawano is a great town to explore for the day!!

Great Accommodations

Crystal was super at communicating and the house is perfect for a small group/family. We were visiting for a birthday party on a nearby lake so didn't spend much time enjoying the property, but being able to rent for two nights in prime season/holiday weekend was a lucky find. We'd definitely recommend this property.

You will not be disappointed

You will not be disappointed! Great place to stay and has everything you need. Simple, quaint and cozy cottage. Cute touches that make you feel welcome and host is so accommodating and very easy to communicate with if needed. Excellent location on Washington Lake with boat channel access to Shawano Lake and don't forget about the Wolf River, too! Easy access to dock your own boat right at the cottage. Loved everything about this cottage!! Awesome family memories made.

We absolutely loved our stay at the cottage! I have two young children, and this home is set up perfectly for families. The location is ideal—quiet, private, and peaceful—yet still so convenient. The neighbors were wonderful, and the owners were incredibly helpful and quick to respond to any questions.I saw a few reviews mentioning no hangers, but each closet has plenty of hooks for clothes—I actually found that even more convenient. We especially appreciated being able to bring our elderly dog, having WiFi, dishwasher, our own dock, and the washer/dryer. Truly, what more could you ask for? We can’t wait to come back! Thank you so much :)

Paddle Weekend

The cottage was thoughtfully arranged and had new fixtures. The beds were as comfortable as the Hyatt Regency. I liked there were no frills and its was functional. The host was responsive and the place was exactly as represented. I will stay here again when the time right.

Kayak Cove

Great weather, great cabin. Everything we needed was provided. No problems at all with the cabin. Easy access to the lake. They even provide entertainment for a rainy day - which we never had a chance to use. Would recommend staying here. If fishing is your main objective, we didn't have much luck there but that could be because we were not familiar with the lakes and where to fish. Hosts were excellent, great communication, very friendly.

Wonderful lake get away

The property was perfect! Immersed in nature with the lake, the lily pads and cat tails, the bull frogs . . . A great place to dock the boat. Inside the cabin was everything we like and enjoy in a cabin. Great lay-out! All we needed in the kitchen and the bathrooms. Games for our family to enjoy. I reached out with a number of questions prior to our trip and the host responded quickly, thoroughly with an "anything you need" attitude. All around a great experience! We hope to return soon : )

Perfect getaway.

The boat dock for the win. The little lake was the best for jumping off the boat, kayaking and catching lots of tiny fun fish. We anchored on sandbars and enjoyed water sports, on the big lake. We golfed, went to the races and drive-in theater, only minutes away. The neighborhood was quiet and friendly. The cabin was more than enough. Had character and comfort. We enjoyed the large yard. The host were friendly and informative. Had an awesome weekend with our teenagers and dog. The cabin had everything we needed and so much more.

Lake house

Very minimal provisions on a inlet to Washington Lake. Unpainted concrete floors except in bathroom and bedrooms. Hooks everywhere but no hangers or dressers to put things away for your stay. No doors on the closets just hooks and skinny benches. No towel racks in bathroom just hooks and towels kept falling off. It could be a nice place for older couples as there are no stairs to the house or the lake but as an older couple we found it too minimalist. Also the shower floor was very slippery and all the shampoo and body wash bottles were on the grab bars which were too low to use anyway.Lake access to two lakes is the biggest draw. Shawano lake is huge with great fishing, Washington Lake is small and has wake time limits so kayaking or fishing is not so difficult.Could be a super place with a few upgrades.

A must stay in a great area with much to do and exceptional communication.

Even before our stay the communication was outstanding with Crystal. The cabin was perfect. Nice decor, space was open, and each bedroom had its own TV along with a larger TV in the living room. The reception in the area was not the greatest but the Wi-Fi at the cabin we had no trouble with. The outside yard was good sized, the view was very relaxing. The sound of frogs and loons was pleasant, and we even witnessed a bald eagle in the tree at the next property. The water around the dock is perfect for setting off on the kayaks. It is not a swimming area but two miles down the road is a great park with a lovely sand beach, it also has a dog beach which our boys loved playing around in. The cabin is in a great area with so much to do within minutes. Golf, kayaking, tubbing, shops, casino, great super clubs and bar/grills. The only problem is we did not stay long enough. I am always hesitant about places with few reviews, but this is a gem. I would give more than 5 stars if I could. We will definitely be back.
