ORCA
This accommodation is located right across the road from the beach - great for that early morning dip! And yes, you can actually watch Orcas cruising by when they come into and leave the harbour - an absolutely fabulous sight!
Extensive decking and wonderful views.
Absolutely the best views of the harbour, dunes, the heads and South Head right down to Omapere along the beach.
5 minutes to the Copthorne Hotel and centrally located between the boat ramps at Opononi and Omapere - you can park your boat on the lawn adjacent to the accommodation.
BBQ and outdoor furniture provided.
The kitchen has just been refurbished and now includes a ceramic hob top, oven and dishwasher. New lino throughout the kitchen and bathroom.
The physical address is: 185 Hokianga Harbour Drive, Omapere, Hokianga.
HEAR THE WAVES CRASHING ON THE BEACH - AWESOME!!!

When we pulled out the trundle bed we found Bits of dog pooh underneath it but other than that was an awesome place to stay

Thank you for letting us know. That is absolutey unacceptable of the standard or mess the previous guests left to the place. We had cleaned and sanitised all the beddings, household furnitures and kitchen facilities for keeping the high living standards for our precious users.

Beautiful surroundings

My daughter and I loved staying in this accomodation with a beautiful view of the dunes right across the road. Beautiful sunsets and just a few steps away to the waters edge and beautiful beach. This place had everything we needed with some amazing places to visit.

We loved the harbour views and close proximity to everything we needed. The Bach is comfortable and well equipped, and the host/property manager welcoming and helpful. Thank you for your hospitality.

Had a lovely stay, location was great and had everything we needed. Was just abit disappointed that one of the beds was basically a mattress on the floor, I have older teenagers and so had to sleep on the couch

Stunning little bach right opposite the habour, loved the amazing view. The shower at this place is fantastic, glad the tv worked and everything we needed was there. Thanks for the linen and towel use. The deck was lovely to sit out on. Could use a strongerightbulb on the kids room, but the extra blankets were much appreciated, as was the available soap amd general cheaning up stuff. Would love to return and stay longer.

The sheets on the double were stained, the blankets smelt used and needed a wash (as in smelt sweaty like my kids blankets after a week!)...the stovetop was dirty, the oven was dirty, the floor needed a sweep..There is a cleaning fee so maybe down to the cleaning service rather than the owner. Otherwise everything else was great. It was basic, but tidy and had everything you needed.

will definitely use again. Only suggestion would be to have a couple of cereal bowls other than that it’s a great place with a beautiful view. Highly recommend.

Beautiful view from the property. Kids walked across the road for a swim every day. Additional kayaks and fishing gear available for rent, although we did not use due to weather.

Great view and location

Lovely looking out at the view. The Host's communication was great. Some of the interior/towels were a bit 'tired' but on the other hand for the location the price is good. We enjoyed our stay- watching the sunset over the sandhills opposite was magic.

The location was amazing but unfortunately most of the pots, pans, crockery and cutlery were dirty and had to be washed before use which was very inconvenient. Also, there was only one tea towel which quickly got wet. The unit shares a wall with another unit and there is very little sound proofing so you can easily hear other people walking and talking in other rooms of this, and the other unit, which doesn't make it very peaceful. The fact that you are supposed to take your rubbish to the tip at the end of the stay and that it is closed on Tuesday and Thursday is ridiculous. In summary, please make everything is clean and it would be better if there were more bowls and tea towels available. Also, perhaps invest in sound proofing and for someone to remove the rubbish when they clean the unit.

Kia Ora Sylvia The pots, pans, crockery and cutlery are cleaned with the dish powder in dish washer after the client used and everytime when they checked out. We take hygiene seriously as the health & safetly rules. Thank you for the comments. We will strive to achieve the TOPCARE to our clients. Kitchen paper towels are stored in the cabinet. Peaceful beautiful location

The listing is exactly as it says. Great accommodation for families with the extra ability to cook and wash clothing if desired. Beautiful ocean view and hosts very accommodating. We stopped at Warkworth to grab groceries at Pak and Save. On the way in we saw a Kiwi bird which was very special and really made the trip.

The location is lovely. The photos showed two couches but there was only one. There were a number of issues with the property - three broken lights making for dim rooms at night, a fridge that leaked large puddles on to the floor, and a build up of dust and from on some surfaces. Some of the kitchen equipment we used we needed to clean before use, including the BBQ which was very dirty and we had to scrub it before we use it. We still enjoyed our stay but feel these issues should be fixed before the next tenants.
