Upper Twin Cabin - Beautiful Private Cabin near Olympic National Park

Peaceful cabin located on the North Olympic Peninsula about 30 minutes west of Port Angeles with views of the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Very private and secluded. Cabin has a master bedroom with a single queen bed and a bathroom with a commode, sink and shower. Living area includes a sleeper sofa. The cabin has all the comforts of home, including a gas refrigerator, gas stove, gas heat, gas water heater, and gas and battery operated lighting. Water is provided by a well on property. The Upper Twin Cabin is completely OFF-THE-GRID with no electricity, no Internet and no phone service. Guests MUST be comfortable with off-the-grid living and the minor inconveniences that can sometimes result.
Note the property has two cabins (Upper Twin Cabin and Lower Twin Cabin). This rental is only for the Upper Twin Cabin. The Lower Twin Cabin is a separate listing. The cabins are not within sight of each other. Both cabins can be rented together if desired to accommodate additional guests. The Lower Twin Cabin is Property ID: 3880706.

A great off-the-grid cabin close to Olympic National Park. Excellent water view from the large front windows to watch boats and ships go by. It was our first off-the-grid experience other than tent camping but Jeff's instructions were very helpful.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay here! We love how close it is to so many hikes. We also really enjoy unplugging from everything! It's warm, comfortable, clean and has all the things you need for a lovely stay. Jeffrey told us about a local fish guy, and we had a whole (small) ling cod for one dinner! Great time here!

Quiet, isolated but also central to main Olympic NP activities. Very clean and spacious. Loved the huge windows. Saw a fox. Tested a property trail briefly.... beautiful! Night skies were brilliant. Captured a comet-like shooting star on my cell phone camera. The inside of the cabin even smelled like the woods.

Amazing place for off grid experience! You can see the sea and Canada from the cabin. There are also a few beautiful trails to walk that are fairly easy to do.

While the cabin is off-grid with no power, there is running water and a gas stove and refrigerator. It was convenient to Olympic National Park and had beautiful views. There was a great Cafe not far away in Jouce, too. The bed was comfortable and the cabin clean. There were also bunnies that would visit in the morning. This is a great choice for a peaceful stay.

Make sure you read the description! I didnt and found out it had no power later. It was so cute and the no power was totally fine once we realized that was meant to be.

This was a perfect cabin with a view of the strait and of Canada! It is very off the grid and nestled in a garden. There was even a deer in the garden as we drove in! The location was perfect for exploring Olympic National Park. Be sure to read the details about the cabin being off the grid. Also, be sure to screen shot a map or a list of the road turns you need to make to get there because about 20 minutes away, we lost cell service. My friends and I loved staying there and would stay there again!

Awesome place. One of the most beautiful locations I've ever been, in the middle of the forest and with a view of the ocean. There's a river nearby and some great trails between massive trees in the forest. Looking forward to returning one day!

Just had a fantastic time at such a serene, lovely cabin. Definitely felt good to be off the grid and unplug for 5 days! Such a lovely location to go hiking around this beautiful area. So clean, simple, comfortable. Everything you need. Really appreciated our time here!

Great place for a basecamp to explore the area, or to catch up on your favorite novels. I did both the week I was there. Very peaceful, especially in evenings. Little to no cell coverage, which was a plus to me, but would be good to have printed instructions in the cabin for water/generator etc. Great place, super clean, comfortable, and peaceful.

It would be awesome if Jeff had Starlink internet at the cabin. For us guys that own companies we need to have internet access to get a hold of clients. This place was quite clean and a beautiful place to stay.

Perfect escape

I absolutely loved my stay at the upper cabin. The view was breathtaking, and the location couldn’t have been more perfect, secluded, peaceful, and surrounded by nature. The weather was ideal, and everything about the stay felt exactly like what I was looking for. It was the perfect balance of comfort and scenery, and I left feeling refreshed and grateful. Highly recommend if you’re looking to disconnect and enjoy the beauty of the outdoors.

Beautiful spot to get away

Incredible beauty to be seen while staying at the cabin. It is quiet and peaceful on the property and we could even see across to Canada. Had to follow the owners directions since the GPS was a little off, but was easy to remember after that.

Stay & Play in the WA Woods

The Upper Twin Cabin served as our home base for exploring Olympic National Park & the WA peninsula. While off-grid, it offered all the amenities & comforts of home. The property is pristine & the view is breathtaking. It was the perfect place for our family of four to unwind and restore.

This is a cabin in the woods for people who want to unplug from the world. The home is located on beautiful large lot surrounded by trees. The interior is dressed up with cider siding what gives you real mountain cabin experience. There is more! The electricity is delivered by a power generator located outside the house. The host prompts you to enjoy living off the grid: no electricity, no phone service and no Internet. Yes, there is no communication features available at all. It didn't work for me at all, as I am 24/7 on call. I also manage investment account and need to have access to the trading platform on daily bases. It would be nice to have Internet for other purposes, like checking the weather, road conditions, making reservations, planning road trips era. By installing a Star link, the cabin would be highly ranked place to go. I must mention that the directions to the cabin are not clear and filled with clutter and not related information. Good luck getting there after darkness. Good luck getting into the house after darkness. Good luck locating the instructions about how to find the generator and get it going. There should be some light on upon guest arrival and at least the breakers should be on to make the checkin process smoother. A simple solar panel would make a big difference.

This is very clearly advertised as an off-the-grid experience. Virtually all of my guests choose my cabins because they want to unplug from the world for a few days - to stay at a place that is peaceful, quiet, secluded, and with no connection to the outside world. This allows both children (and adults) to get away from their screens, allowing families to connect in a way that is not really possible in a grid-connected experience. People who seek this type of vacation hav uniformly given 5 star reviews. If you go on vacation and need to be on call 24/7 with constant Internet, then my cabin is simply a very poor choice. Also, the directions to the cabin are crystal clear, as many prior guests have noted.

Beautiful property

Beautiful property with a long gravel road, set away from other properties and off the grid. What more could you ask for? The upper and lower cabins are beautiful. No problems at all, and the owner was quick with all responses.

Relax and unplug

I loved our stay at the Upper Cabin! The property is impeccably kept, and the dogs and I loved exploring the whole property, Jeff told us a few nice areas to visit on and off of his property and his recommendations were top notch. The cabin itself is rustic but comfortable and has all the basics you need to truly unplug and just relax fully.

Beautiful Home

We had a great time staying at this property. The view was amazing and the property is beautiful and relaxing.It’s a great jumping off point to explore the Olympic National Park. The only downside was there were a few missing amenities like hand soap and baking sheets but we made it work. It is off grid so be prepared for low water flow in the shower and no lights except for lanterns. We’re avid campers so it was not an issue for us. The host was alway available to answer any questions. We would definitely stay again.

The Cabin and Property were amazing and the proximity to the park was perfect. It was about 30-40 minutes to max to every activity we did. The Cabin itself was very clean and we had no need for the wood stove despite it being in the 50s all week as the cabin heats up nicely from the sun during the day and retains the heat at night. I ran into some user error with the generator but Jeff was available immediately to troubleshoot and we got it sorted out over the phone. I brought a back up battery bank (EcoFlow Delta) and a Starlink which gave us plenty of charge for our devices and connection for planning our activities. I would highly suggest this setup as it made the off grid nature of the cabin extremely comfortable and relaxing. Overall the stay was perfect, quiet, and relaxing.

Idyllic stay, but with a mouse in the house!

This was a very comfortable cabin, serene and quiet, with lots of new appliances and furniture. However on the first night heard a.mouse. we had no food out. The second night there was nothing to be had, but he came back. We had some water in the sink and he drowned himself. Hopefully there was only one! Still it wasn't what we had hoped for Otherwise an lovely spot! mouse

The mouse almost certainly entered through an unattended open door. There are no mice living in the cabin. None of the many prior guests have ever reported one, and we are vigilant for any signs, and there have been none. On a rural property best to keep the screen door closed if the door is left open.
