This property is very clean and comfortable and is absolutely gorgeous. Perfect for our party of 10! The only thing I would mention is that host is on site, that was not a detail listed in the property description and would have been nice to know going in. Overall a fabulous stay though.
Wow, just wow. I cannot say enough about how wonderful these houses are! They are beautiful, comfortable, and have a great layout. They are modern, yet warm and comfortable. We had three generations in our group of 14, and we all had beds and plenty of privacy. The view from the floor to ceiling windows are a dream and we spent lots of time enjoying it and lounging on the oversized beanbags. The kitchens were comfortable to cook in for a large group and there were plenty of places to sit and eat at the large tables. The host was helpful and friendly as well. I will definitely be back.
I have been in Homer since 1996, started out as a pilot doing adventure travel tours of the state out to Katmai and Kodiak and the Alaska Peninsula. I enjoy meeting people and hearing of their creative adventures in the state that I love.
I sought out this lot because my wife said she wanted a great view but also to be conveniently located right in town. This was the only lot left on Mountain View Dr. that hadn't been developed, so it was perfect for a pair of custom houses. This area is sought after because it has a commanding view over town and the bay while still being central.
These houses were custom designed to take advantage of the spectacular view over town and out over the spit and Kachemak Bay. They feature expansive 14' high floor to ceiling view windows with outdoor balconies and full span sliding doors to effectively convert the kitchen/dining/living great room into outside space in tune with nature. These houses also feature a passive design with super insulated double stud walls to remain comfortable in all of Alaska's weather, and to gather the natural light from broad south facing windows.
