We had a great stay here! The property is lovely and has just about anything you could want. You cannot beat the location for its proximity to the park/lake! Our only comment was that the beds are very firm. My late 30’s husband was fine, but my 65 parents felt it was too firm. Still wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. Lake Jocassee was amazing, and we were so thrilled to find an amazing dog-friendly property right there.

This was an absolutely seamless stay from start to finish. Communication with the owner was excellent, consistent, friendly, and responsive throughout our visit. He was always available to answer questions and went above and beyond to ensure we had the best possible experience. The home was thoughtfully stocked with just about everything you could possibly need, making it incredibly comfortable and convenient. The location is perfect, with easy access to everything we wanted to do. I would absolutely recommend this property to anyone looking for a stress-free, enjoyable stay, and I would gladly stay here again!

The reason we picked a secluded cabin was for privacy and to get away; we specifically looked for cabins or houses with no cameras, but there was a camera on every side of the house. The only outdoor spaces without a camera watching us were the balcony and the fire pit in the side yard, a ways from the house. We never pick rentals with any more cameras than a doorbell camera for safety; it was very uncomfortable, and it felt like the searching we did to find something secluded and camera-free was a waste. The price was only worth it to me with that in mind, and Vrbo has strict rules to keep camera clarification on listings.Owners were nice house was nice listing needs to be updated so people know they will almost always be on camera.

Wonderful stay! House was exactly as described and the owner was super friendly and communicative. Location is perfect for putting the boat on the water at Devil’s Fork. We will stay here again!

Everything was great but the heat thermostat. Woke up freezing as the house was 63 degrees. Managed to sort of get it to work. Set the thermostat on eco when we left. Beautiful house and we had a great stay.

Lake Jocassee

Had a wonderful weekend at this house. We kayaked, ate well and sat in the very nice living room and crocheted. Was a perfect set-up for myself and 2 friends.

Fantastic Jocassee Get Away

My family and I stayed at Michael’s property over the week of July 4th with our dogs. We had the best experience! The location is great - only 5 minutes from the state park. The property had plenty of space to spread out and relax. We will definitely be rebooking in the future.

It was just as pictured and even had beautifully manicured grounds. The house was fresh and new feeling. Thoroughly stocked kitchen and bathrooms with much appreciated little extras that we might have not thought to bring. Coffee was delicious! We rented pontoon boats just up the road and boarded at the park. Very convenient and a park pass was at the house for us. Everything was easy and so nice. Ample parking at the house for our 4 large vehicles and a boat& trailer. We'll be back!!!

This house was very clean. Definite pride in ownership. Michael and Beverly made themselves available but this place was so well staged, we didn't need to bother them for anything. I would stay here again. P.S. Love the labeling!!! Very helpful!

Fabulous time at Lake Jocassee retreat

We had a wonderful time at Michael’s home. It was sparkling clean , beautiful and cozy. It had everything we needed to cook meals but we decided to enjoy meals out at local restaurants .We hiked during the day and came home in the evening to enjoy the hot tub and a wonderful night’s sleep in the super comfie beds! We drove into Greenville one day to bike on The Swamp Ranbit Trail and have dinner. We will definitely rent this home again! Thank you Michael for being an outstanding host

Very comfortable and clean. Lots of fun for the kids. Hot tub, lunch in the picturesque gazebo, and smores by the fire pit. Lake Jocasee is such a unique location and this home and hosts completed a great weekend getaway. Not much dining nearby but the kitchen has everything you need and more. These hosts are very generous in that area. We found the mattresses quite comfortable and we have back problems. Highly recommend Jocassee lake tours company (pontoon boats with a naturalist guide) as a tour of this fascinating lake and its wonderful views is not to be missed. You need to be on a boat to really see the wonders of this lake.
