Very personal place, feels like staying at a friends house, not an impersonal hotel. Everything we could need for cooking was stocked, cozy living room for hanging out. Really comfortable bedrooms well spaced out for privacy. Loved the fire pit outside!
11 of us spent a week at the house and loved it. It's spacious for large groups, and had all the amenities we needed. Ours was a mountain biking adventure, and the house is located right in the middle of the Kingdom Trails and Burke Mountain networks, and the town is within walking distance. When we get back to KT in the future, 588 Alpine Ln will be the place we stay.
We stayed here for multiple nights due to a family wedding in the area. The house was exactly as described and perfect for our group of 9 - plenty of room for everyone to have their own space or come together for meals, whatever youâre looking for. The homeowner was amazing to work with and was very responsive and helpful to all of my questions. Our family would definitely stay here again.
Great place to stay, plenty of space. Excellent location easy to move about Burke
Peter was a great host! He open his home to us and the kids. I couldnt believe how much space we had ( there was 7 of us) to go our sperate ways, then rejoin and sit together for meals and share details of our day at Burke. Perfect location for mountain biking and hiking. We will be back in the winter for skiing.
The house is right next to the ski resort and mountain. It's a great getaway but you are also in an area with some other houses which make you feel very safe. The house itself is great. You can tell the Delaney family had a lot of fun in this house and you would be motivated to enjoy Vermont more. I would definitely love to come back again.
The 6 of us had a great time. Dealing with the owner was easy and efficient. Our communication prior to arrival made me confident it would be the right choice for us. The house was clean and had everything we needed. Location on the mountain was a serious bonus! The process from booking to departure was as good as it gets.
We stayed Thursday thru Sunday. We chose this house because of the number of rooms and location on the mountain. We had 11 guys stay and there were no more than 2 guys/room. Everyone had enough space to spread out and relax. The dining room table sat 8 comfortably but we were able to squeeze in our 11 for dinner ... no problem. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, etc. for cooking if that's your pleasure (we ate "in" every meal) ... and there was a whole cabinet filled with spices.
We had a great fire outside in the fire bowl and there was plenty of dry wood.
The only improvements to the house that could be made is a flat-screen TV for the living room and internet service. Quite frankly though, we were so gassed from biking nobody really cared about the TV situation. The cell service at the house was spotty.
As for location on the mountain, it was perfect ! We were able to bike from the house down "Roly Grail" to the lifts and bike to the house for lunch each day we biked Burke. It was great not having to drive cars when we biked Burke !!
We will definitely return to this very reasonable priced property and easy to work with owner.
The owner requires the renters to keep bikes out of the house at all times. Again, this was not a problem either, as the house is so remote (high up on the mountain) that there's no problem leaving them outside. There was even a hose out back that we used to wash our bikes off.
We enjoyed great views as well ... an added bonus !
We loved all the bedrooms, able to spread out. Great location for the bike trails. So much to do, great hiking, tubing, and pontooning on lake willoughby. Enjoyed the beer at Mikeâs tiki.
Great location for a big group. With 7 rooms we had plenty of room spread out. Easy access to lots of great mountain bike trails. Owner was easy to deal with. Chalet now has Wi-Fi, Big TV, and BBQ. Will return soon.
Thank you Pete, and your family, for sharing your house with us. We had a great time! Your house is perfectly located and close to everything. It's in the heart of the action. We were 13 and everyone had more than enough space. We rode the trails on the first day and hiked up the mountain on the second day. Wow! The view is amazing! The people working in the bike shops where we rented our bikes were super nice and helpful. I loved my weekend and look forward to coming back again, with my own mountain bike!
This is a huge, well maintained place halfway up Burke mountain. We all had our sleeping space. All the amenities -- including an outdoor fire pit, charcoal grill and a comfy wood stove. A very welcome, quiet place after wonderful days of mountain biking at Kingdom Trails. The Delaneys were very responsive and communicative throughout the rental process. Highly recommend
It was perfect.
Ideal for groups or families, kids can enjoy 2 rooms made of bunck bed only for them, including a nice room to play in just beside these rooms.
We were 9 adults and 3 kids and we did not eaven used all the beads. This place is huge. Kitchen is friendly and gave us a chance to chat while cooking.
verry close to Burke Mountain, in two pedal strikes you are good to ride the trails.
I do recomand that rental.
Thanks to the Delaney's.
We have stayed here several times over the years for mountain biking and love it. The location can't be beat. It's just on the other side of the chairlift from the Burke Mountain campground. It's a large home with a lot of separate spaces to hang out in. Very comfortable and clean and the owners were easy to deal with. We loved Lake Willoughby, too. Highly recommended.

We are from a large ski family and have skied for many years at Burke Mountain (since the early 1970's). We have an extended family who enjoy Burkie's Drop and ski there every year. We have a number of Burke Mountain Jr. Racers who have gone through the program and are still avid skiers at Burke. Recently we have been taking on Mountain biking and wanted to share our love for Burke Mountain and East Burke with you!!!
Our ski/bike lodge is unique in that it is built into the side of Burke Mountain and from the outside does not look like a terribly large home, however, when you are inside you find that the home never ends. There are 5 levels of living space with 5 full bedrooms and 2 large bunkrooms. The house is well set up so that kids can stay down on one end of the home (the Jungle) and Mom's & Dad's can hang out in the other end of the house away from all the hub-bub. A must see!!!
