Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Unplug and spent some time at this two-bedroom, open floor plan cabin in the woods. Situated on 5 acres of land, which includes a pond and a fire pit!
We chose to explore Hocking Hills for our 1 year Anniversary. We very much enjoyed the cabin, cozy and private. Didnât get a chance to use the hot tub because of the weather, everything was good.
This was a great house for us to stay in for our one night in Hocking Hills. We really appreciated all the games available, especially all the kids games!
This property had everything my girlfriend and I wanted. It was dog friendly, included a fire pit with marshmallow roasting sticks and a beautiful hot tub. The property was very secluded while still being within a short distance of all that Hocking Hills has to offer! The wide selection of board games and movies and the speaker were also nice for late nights. This cabin was cozy and clean! The host was also very accommodating and even let us check in early to settle our dogs in! We will definitely be staying at this property again.
We really enjoyed the privacy, convenience, and peacefulness of the cabin. The decor was beautiful and the games were fun with our kids. We especially enjoyed the hot tub and firepit area and the fact we were able to bring our pet. We had two issues, the owners response was quick and accomodating.
The owners are clearly working hard to make this cabin comfortable. It's setting is so quiet, I think I could hear the stars. Bring firewood for the pit, and be prepared to climb steep steps to get to the bedrooms. The beds were very comfortable. All the appliances are new, it's very well equipped.
My wife and I needed a break so we found this cool little cabin in the woods. We have been to Hocking Hills before and decided to go back. Everything was as expected at the property. There was a minor hiccup when a severe storm passed knocking out the electricity. The host was very responsive to the situation and luckily the power came back on after our all day hike. We would definitely come back.
From the driveway sasquatch, to the comfy bed upstairs, this trip was lovely. Every part of the cabin is cozy, and well installed. The ammemties worked perfectly. The view, and silence brings tranquility and peace. This is an amazing spot to relax with your partner.
The cabin is lovely and the layout is perfect for a small group. We loved the look of the kitchen so much! The cabin has shuffle board and a whole cabinet stocked full of really good board games. Thereâs also an extensive collection of dvds. We had a bit of trouble getting the hot tub to warm up, but after a short google search we managed to get it out of sleep mode and it heated right up. I also couldnât get the keurig to work. Not sure if that was user error or not. If I would suggest anything it would be to update the photos of the outdoor area. There is no longer an umbrella by the hot tub, nor is there a canopy tent for the grill. The landscaping could use some maintenance as the path to the fire pit was littered with empty mulch bags. Overall we were happy and the cabin served us well for our stay. Thank you very much!
Property was clean and inviting. It was raining so the driveway was a little daunting but we made it up fine. The house was decorated every nice and the furniture was comfortable. My only complaint would be none of the windows had blinds/shades. It was very secluded so I wasn't worried about someone looking in but the bedroom not having any window covering made it very difficult to sleep past sunrise.
When we arrived at the cabin, several issues immediately raised safety concerns, especially since we were traveling with our son. There was only one smoke detector in the cabin, located in the second-floor hallway between the bedrooms, and it wasn't working, with no battery. The bathroom light flickered between dim and bright, suggesting the bulb or fixture needed replacement, and there was no fan. Multiple outlets were either missing covers or broken, and one even had burn marks. The first-floor lights, including the ceiling fan, kitchen, and entry lights, were all controlled by a single switch, making independent control impossible. Either all the lights were on, or none. There were unsecured floorboards on the landing between the first and second floors, and a window screen was found on the ground outside. Additionally, old bedding was draped over the stair banister when we arrived, and bottles of pest treatment chemicals were left outside the main entrance. A cushion from the patio bench was found in the woods, likely blown there by the wind. As short-term renters and for the price we paid, we expected a higher quality experience, particularly as we've stayed at other rentals in Hocking Hills that offered far better experiences for less.
We found the cabin to be very clean and the natural setting was both beautiful and peaceful. Good features include hot tub, wifi, and full complement of kitchen appliances.
