Cabin was perfect size for our stay. Getting up the drive was a little rough! Needed all wheel drive or 4 wheel drive. Hot tub only had one side of the jets working. The water in the cabin was not good. Turned everything yellow with rust. We loved that it was tucked in the woods. Very peaceful
Overall great experience! Property was private and quiet. As many have mentioned in other reviews, the driveway is a climb. Our van did OK but was certainly difficult at first. host was extremely responsive and ready to assist!
The cabin was comfortable, clean and located in a quiet secluded spot. As noted in the description, the road and driveway are narrow and steep, but we had no problems. The only negative is the poor water quality.
Awesome communication from host! In the middle of everything! Only issue was the water had a copper smell to it, but other than that I canât complain! Would definitely stay here again!
Cabin was great! My only complaint is that I could not get my vehicle to the top. We parked at the bottom and carried our things to the top. I am very aware of how things are in that area. I think renters should be aware that the roads in are basically one way and stone. I am thankful we never met another car. Maybe I missed something in my research when was looking for a place. Would rent again from your company, just would check on accessibility.
The cabin was warm and inviting in a peaceful setting. The floors in loft creaked terribly, even when we were sleeping and moved in bed. We were unprepared for the roads and driveway conditions. We had a lower riding vehicle and had difficulty in the driveway. Due to the rainfall, the gravel was all over the place. We were sliding and spinning going up each time. A larger vehicle/4 wheel drive should be used.
Nice cabin, needs a few updates. Suggest adding hallway light, towel pegs or rack in bathroom, main floor bedroom outlet needs repair. Towel/clothing pegs in bedrooms need to be moved so can be functional instead of behind dresser or headboard. Light switches and remotes could be labelled. Jake was very responsive to questions.
Appreciated abundance of towels, paper supplies, soaps and shower supplies. Has minimal amount of dishes. Needs new cookware and plastic cooking utensils. Enjoyed fire pit area and hot tub.
We stayed in December during a cold snap. Several opportunities to improve:
1. Some pegs to hang coats etc would be nice given there are no closets.
2. Improve hot tub instructions and provide better directions to the cabin.
3. Windows leak badlyâŠupstairs window would not shut all the way.
4. Fireplace remote not functioningâŠit was on when we got there and stayed on the entire time.
5. Blinds on several windows were broken.
6. Pots and pans not cleaned well.
Nice cozy cabin that is secluded at the top of the hill. Drive up to the cabin is helpful with 4 wheel drive but it can be done without. Great place with enough room for our family of six to hang out and not feel crowded. Cabin is clean and relaxing.
Cabin was just as described. Well stocked. Clean. Very quiet. Glad we took our 4 wheel drive truck as the driveway was a bit steep. The wifi was VERY spotty but thatâs to be expected I guess.
Our family enjoyed our stay. Perfect size for us whole out on the local trails most of the day. We cooked breakfast each morning and brough food back in the evening.
Internet was a little spotty but for the most part worked. Roads are very narrow on the way in, just drive carefully!
Overall, the cabin itself was nice and clean and the check-in process was easy. The WiFi is very slow. The hot tub was unusable, as it was a dark brown color. I owned a hot tub for years, and even with well water, you can run the water through a filter while filling or use chemical solutions to remove metals or keep the ph levels lower. Plenty of solutions. The owner, while apologetic, made it sound like this is just what happens with well water, and thatâs certainly not the case with proper hot tub care. The hot tub water, therefore, was a deep rusty brown color unlike the clear water advertised in the listingâs photos.
Had the hot tub been usable, it would have been a pleasant enough stay. Disappointing. I wonât return.
The location was great. Fire pit area was great with lots of seating. The beds were ok, no extra pillows or blankets. WiFi doesnât work on phones. Tv did work good for kids. Jacuzzi didnât get up to temperature till 2 am first night pretty bummed about that. Was only given one roll of toilet paper for 5 people two nights. They donât offed or tell you to bring your own firewood. The decks didnât look like they have been swept in a long time, dead bugs everywhere. Compared to other cabins rented, pretty dissatisfied.
