Cozy Studio In Private Beach Community Near Cedar Point and Kalahari
This is the 3rd offering from Offshore Breeze in the Mitiwanga Neighborhood. A small community with a private beach on the shores of Lake Erie so close you can see the coasters from your beach chair. This is a studio edition meant for a couple looking to spend more time outdoors and wondering than inside. It does have a sleeper sofa capable of sleeping children or another couple if you are used to being as close quarters as sailors.
You will enjoy a semi private patio (Working on making it even more secluded.) with a grill right outside your door. The beach is less than a football field away. It might be small, but the Captain's Quarters has all the amenities of home.
This has turned out to be our most popular space. We finished this one almost as an afterthought. We were focused on the Crew Quarters because there as so much to do. This was just some paint and some basic remodeling that ended up coming out way better than we expected. The small space still packs a big vacation punch with it's own laundry facility, full sized stove and microwave, it's own patio with access to a dedicated grill. And with ease the movable patio wall can be turned to make an extra place to house a family that needs even more than the 10 that Crew will accommodate.
This space will also make a nice long term stay for traveling occupations such as nursing and airline employees. We have had two such stays for people who are staying close to family helping out an aging parent and one a longer term for recovery from a medical procedure. With the hideaway bed it folds up to a comfortable living space with ease.
To be noted, We do not have space for boats on trailers on site. WE have options for guests who are pulling boats. Please ask us if you are planning a fishing trip to catch some of our famous walleye or most delicious lake Erie Perch.
I am from the Mitiwanga area, These spaces once belonged to my father who lost a battle to dementia in late 2021. I wanted to do something to continue is legacy. When we decided to make them into Vacation Homes, I bought my experience and passion for cruising sailing to the design. We found ways to make tight spaces feel spacious. To balance the fine line between privacy and common resources. I enjoy meeting the guests. I can't et sail the world, so I can bring the world to me.
This was a simple beachside community with houses that were designed for summer only when built. Now it has become the ideal place on Lake Erie to have some vacation home options. Community private beach. Two local pubs just across the street. settled between two quaint lake side towns of Huron and Vermilion close enough to enjoy the convivence but far enough away to feel secluded. The only limitation is what you consider "far". Of Course Cedar Point and Kalahari are near, but the Lake Erie Western Basin Islands are just a little father. Cleveland sports and Casino is just a bit father if you are willing to make the drive. The sunsets are beautiful and the summer is like a warm spirit on your soul when you sit on the beach.
The Captain's Quarters was designed to accommodate small parties. Especially romantic getaways or parents and one or two children willing to bunk together. It is an open small space, but it has everything you will need to make a memorable getaway. The Captain's Quarters has the price and flare of a high end hotel room, but with the distinction of having a full kitchen, laundry, and fully equipped bathroom. You are going to step out your door and the adventure will be in any direction, choosing is the most difficult part.
