Egret Point Retreat provided our family of 6 everything we needed for our long weekend dance competition trip. Conveniently located between Cedar Point and the Kalahari it made everything easy. Plus the access to the private beach/park is a wonderful perk!
The House and location were exactly as we had anticipated. My granddaughters and I had a great week visiting the Sandusky area and the house was convenient to grocery, beaches and parks. The kitchen had every amenity we needed to prepare our meals and the bedrooms were clean and comfortable. We were grateful for the laundry facilities and the roomy living space. Great week overrall at Lake Erie.
Pros: The location was very convenient to Cedar Point but in a quiet neighborhood. The kitchen and living room were nice and the beds were super comfortable. The kitchen had everything needed, coffee and towels were provided, and there was a washing machine for clothes. Kids enjoyed the video games in the bonus room. Cons: the 4th bedroom/ bonus room, you have to walk through one of the other bedrooms to get to it. The cleaning could have been better, there were curly black hairs in the bathroom, a spider nest under a kitchen cabinets, and dead bugs in the blinds. Also, many of the doors didnât lock. The second bathroom was really the laundry room with a toilet in it, which is fine, but it could have been set up better and finished better. Couldnât open the washing machine all the way because it hits the toilet.
Went to the Egret Point House for the April 8th eclipse. House was great and family and friends enjoyed the accommodations and location. My friend Brian and I are both birders so after the eclipse we enjoyed a couple beers on the patio and watched dozens of Black-crowned Night Herons and Great Egrets (how appropriate) fly over.
