Loved our studio next to Burns Court in Sarasota! Very comfortable bed and all the other items we needed--frig., microwave, coffee machine, toaster, and even a cooking pan on a hotplate. Dishes, etc. were ample. LOVED the view of the 1920s mural straight across from our windows of a local street scene from that era. This location was great location for us to walk around all the central areas of Sarasota. We would book there again.

The studio room was being repaired so we were upgraded to a one bedroom. Being morning people, we loved watching the sunrises in the morning while laying in bed. The mattress was very comfortable, as well as the rest of the furniture in the room. The kitchen and bathroom had everything we needed. Denise even brought us a bag of beach towels, which was very helpful for us, as we didn't have room in our suitcases. We especially appreciated how welcoming Denise was with our little dog, who came with us on vacation. One of the best features was the central location to so many great restaurants. We try to eat healthy, and there were so many farm-to-table restaurants within a 5-10 minute walk from the room. Not to mention only a 5-10 minute walk to the ocean, the Botanical Gardens (worth seeing!), a large park for our dog, and much more. We are certainly planning on coming back and would highly recommend this as a place to stay, especially if you need a place that allows pets!
If you have in mind the equivalent of a nice large and equipped hotel room, you will be pleased with this bright, charming and nicely located option in a charming neighborhood, just a few minutes walk to downtown, Bayfront Park, botanical garden, farmer's market, etc., and just a block away from the classic Owen's Fish Camp. Large bed, sofa, large closet, small breakfast table (no desk)... No kitchen per se (don't plan on actually cooking), but microwave & small bar fridge, coffee-maker in a corner nook, with a small selection of dishes, glasses, cups, silverware (could use a few more things, e.g., bowls). Bathroom is small but clean; shower water pressure is on the low side but functional. WiFi worked well. All-in-all, quite nice. We'd be happy to return.
The Mediterranean property is historic and designed by the same architect that designed the Ca d'Zan at the Ringling Museum. It was built as the southern gateway vista into the city from the rich southern neighborhoods. The rooms are decorated beautifully so it is not just a bed but an experience. Located in the safe and south area of downtown Sarasota in Burns Square. We are in walking distance of just about anything you would want to do and surrounded by high-end residential neighborhoods and parks. It is a beautiful area.
While you are in an urban environment it has a neighborhood feel. The view out the window is of S. Pineapple Avenue shopping and spas with a mural by famous Brazil street artists Eduardo Kobra of a 1940's photograph of Sarasota.
