A beautiful, peaceful, comfortable, and spectacular place, with breathtaking ocean views. The room, swimming pool and breakfast are wonderful, it's a gem in Hilo!

Hale Laule'a at Opihi Point is an amazing property with incredible coastline views. The sunrises were beautiful and the breakfast provided each morning on the lanai was perfect. Chad and Jennifer were wonderful hosts and the orientation to property was very informative. We would recommend this property and hope to return again.

Our stay was wonderful! The property is spectacular with beautiful sunrise views from the rooms or just steps outside your door. The peaceful setting is made even more special by the many friendly, well-behaved farm animals on the property. It’s also a fantastic venue for events, such as a wedding, with plenty of space for gatherings and comfortable accommodations for a few guests.The owners were outstanding—responsive, friendly, and a pleasure to communicate with throughout our stay.We arrived in August 2026, just a short week after the recent hurricane, and were impressed by how well the island was recovering and how warmly visitors were welcomed.We highly recommend this beautiful, peaceful, and unique Hawaii experience and would happily return.

This was an amazing place to stay. The property is beautiful & very well taken care of. The coastal views, stargazing, and watching the sunrise can’t be beat. The room was clean and had everything we needed and the breakfast each morning was excellent. The hosts were very helpful & wanted to make sure our stay was perfect. Highly recommend staying here.

This was an absolutely beautiful property. The owner asks you to meet him prior to check in to show you the grounds and give an overview of the property. We felt this was one of the best parts! Hearing the history of the grounds and how they built the property was fascinating. The room was extremely comfortable, breakfast everyday was delicious. Could not have asked for a better stay or better hosts. (Chad is a wealth of information on the island and places to visit- that was also much appreciated)

The property owned by Chad and Jennifer is absolutely beautiful. The pictures do not do it justice. The property is large and immaculately maintained with gorgeous landscaping and outstanding views. We saw many whales from the lovely garden. Chad was very accommodating and we enjoyed our breakfasts on the lanai. The Banyan Suite was lovely. We would definitely stay again.

This property is probably the most beautiful place we have ever stayed. Our hosts were very welcoming. Our room was very large and comfortable, with everything we could possibly want or need. We love animals and enjoyed being greeted by the dogs and visiting the horses, ducks and tortoise. The gardens were beautiful and peaceful. The ocean view was magnificent. I would love to stay here again.

My spouse and I had a wonderful stay at Hale Laule’a with terrific hosts Jennifer and Chad. Their resort is nothing short of extraordinary and we were incredibly grateful to be able to stay and experience it. We stayed in the one bedroom Banyan suite which was spacious and comfortable, eagerly looking forward to the provided breakfast on the lanai. Spectacular ocean points were a short walk down the road. We can’t wait to visit again!

Secluded paradise

This is a lovely spot outside of town but not too far. It was everything we wanted while visiting, beautiful to wake up to and amazing oceans views all over the property that add to the feeling of seclusion.

Awesome place

This was an awesome place to stay. I wish we would have booked a longer stay. Highly recommend. It’s a very unique location. Not far from Hilo and very one with nature. Beats the resorts on the other side of the island.
