One of the best condos we have ever stayed in. We stay in several each year. Perfect amount of space. Well furnished. Everything in kitchen is in great shape and set up to do any kind of cooking. Great amount of seating in living / TV room. Having more bathrooms, all in nice shape was great.
The property was very conveniently located ski in/ski out on Four O'Clock to Town run, right next door to the hot tub/pool area. The home was very clean, with lots of room, and nicely equipped. We only stayed 2 nights, but would definitely book this place again. The only bummer was the exorbitant fees charged to rent. Two different fees listed on the two rental apps.
The Good: The location of this property is fantastic! Easy access to 4:00 run and Snowflake lift. Beds were comfortable. Garage bay is great to have!
The Bad: The basement heat did not seem to work. The pans for cooking are old and easily burn food and food sticks badly. They are in dire need of replacement! This was interesting, as we would normally have grilled out but the grill hasn't been cleaned in a long time. I wouldn't cook on that surface, if it were the only option!
The Ugly: It starts with entry into the house. Either the garage code provided was incorrect, or the garage entry keypad battery was dead. Either way, access was only available through the front door. Unlocking the front door was very tricky with the key. If the front door handle / lock were replaced with a programmable keypad, it would alleviate an extra stop before check in, make access to simpler, and bring the house up to what would be considered modern standards for home rental access. The fireplace thermostat needs replaced. It took us over an hour to find. The physical thermostat piece that turns it on and the cover for said piece were not installed on the stat. We found them on a window ledge nearby. We were able to install the thermostat piece to allow us to operate the fireplace. Lastly, the TV remote control batteries were bad. We had to swap between remotes just to turn TV on. This should never happen, and could easily and regularly be changed!
The house needs work!!!
Smelled of dust. Lock broken; smoke alarm disabled, broken shade, pots not useable with scratched old non-stick, an eclectic collection of chipped plates, insufficient tableware and furniture that is featured in the back of the Goodwill store. No response from the manager when complaints raised as the owner refuses to make repairs. Not worth the price and doesnât accommodate eight.
We were on a ski trip with 4 adults and 3 little kids. We loved the place. Really ski in and out, within minutes you are in the center of the piste network of Breckenridge.
The accommodation was really nice, big house with three floors. The top floor is where the master bedroom is with a nice bathroom. On the top floor there are two additional beds right next to the stairs down. The middle floor has the living room with the kitchen. A lot of windows with a look at skiing people on 4 o clock. The kitchen is well equipped. The bottom floor has the garage and a hallway with a washing machine, dryer and 2 bedrooms. One with a queen and the other one with 2 small bed, great for kids. When we arrived the thermostat on the bottom floor where off. With the cold temperatures it took us half a day to get the room to a good temperature for our kids.
We would go back!
This place is very cozy and plenty of room! I loved backing up to the ski run and we were right next to the hot tub area. The layout was perfect with bedrooms upstairs and downstairs and the main living space on the middle floor. We were close to everything downtown as well.
The only suggestion I could make is to provide remote instructions for the main floor tv. When there are 3 remotes to operate, it makes it much easier when instructions are provided. All in all it is a great place to stay and other than the outrageous cleaning fee costs that are being assessed these days we would be back.
Overall, weâd stay there again but might try to find something better before doing it. The check in could occur via email/lockbox, there really is not a compelling need to inconvenience the renter to going to a closed office in town to check in/out. The beds were not comfortable, the linens and towels are not luxury. The garage is an excellent feature for loading/unloading luggage and gear. The disappointment with arduous process of getting lift tickets is going to happen with any rental where they donât warn you ahead of time, so I canât say that fault rests on the management company except to say that it would have been nice to include that protocol in a âski in/outâ advertised property. Most disappointing was the advertising clearly says that there is hot tub access. There is NOT. The advertisement is not updated regarding that, yet the ad is updated with Covid cleaning info so that tells me it could have and should have been updated.
Place was great but communication and check in process with great western property mgmt left something to be desired. Got in an hour earlier then anticipated, desk clerk demonstrated minimal customer service skills. Property mgmt company clearly skimps as much as possible. Minimal paper products, scratched up skillets, etc. if youâre concerned about getting nonstick chemicals in your food, probably gonna need to bring your own skillet and/or spatula.
As for the listing, location is perfect once you find it. True ski in ski out on the 4 oâclock run. GPS is a bit difficult and signage gets covered in snow. One issue: the loft room is exposed to the downstairs living room space, so if you plan on having kids go to sleep early itâs not going to be a late night downstairs. All the sounds filter up to the loft space above the living room.
All in all worth the money and a great location, despite the minor hiccups.
Awesome location. So handy ski in ski out. Layout was pretty good, main bedroom a bit noisy. Glassware, pillows need a bit of work. Overall though very comfortable and enjoyed our stay.
The kitchen lacked sufficient utensils, baking dishes, wine glasses, and food containers for any leftovers.
Also there were no sheets for the pullout couch and my 23 year old son smelled urine. đ and never slept good.
While the property itself is nice we were awoken every night at 1:30 a.m and then again at 5.a.m. by a sprinkler in the common area hitting the wall of the town home right against our bedroom. So you hear...rat-atat-tat every 30 seconds for about 1/2 hour each night. In addition I fear mold is growing as the wall was visibly wet on the outside in the early evening and both my husband and I had very stuffy noses. If I were the owners of the property I would be quite upset with the association responsible for the sprinkler system settings. In addition we were given the wrong code for the pool and hot tub and were not able to get in the first evening. Property manager was unable to remedy spinkler system
Great location.
Loft needs to be entered through the master bedroom upstairs which wasnât ideal for our set up. Kitchen a bit small but the dining room table was great.
we travel a lot and stay in many homes. this was by far the cleanest and nicest homes. the location was perfect....snowboarding to out literal back door, the hot tub a few feet away and a very short run to the lift. just 5 minutes outside of town, the house was clean and beautiful. the pictures do not do the view outside the window justice. very quiet. it felt like we were staying all by ourselves. rarely saw or heard another person in the neighborhood. will definitely stay at this location again
This townhouse was clean, quiet and spacious. The little interaction we had with rental staff (checking in only) was warm and welcoming. Townhouse is pleasantly off the beaten path yet a very short drive to Main Street. We had all we needed and would definitely stay here again. Breckinridge was absolutely beautiful in the summer!!
This house was a great place to stay and was very comfortable. I highly recommend it. We had an issue with the jacuzzi and a toilet, but they came out promptly to try to fix the problems. The lock to the front door was difficult to figure out, but that did not cause problems enough to change my rating.
