This stunning home is located in one of the most historic & whimsical areas of St. John's, known as The Battery. Every window has awe-inspiring views that bathe the space in lots of natural light. A wonderful getaway, minutes from the Signal Hill hiking trail & interpretation centre, and a quick walk to the heart of downtown. Each of the 3 beds (1 is a futon in loft) has an ensuite bathroom (with in-floor heating), which is great for larger groups. You won't want to leave this magical place.
We Host is a professional property management company based in Newfoundland! We typically answer messages between 10:30AM and 9:30PM Newfoundland time. However, we are available 24/7 by phone/text (9:30pm-10:30am urgent calls only, please)! You may find yourself speaking with any of our team members. You can contact us via your booking channel as well as replying to the welcome messages you received upon confirmation.
The Battery, a colourful and unique neighbourhood built into a rock face, sits on the entrance to the harbour, located on the slopes of Signal Hill. The area was named for its rich and important history as a battery for the defence of St. John's Harbour in both World Wars.
-Access with a smart lock code, you will be sent your unique access code prior to check-in
The entire unit is yours to live in and enjoy! We provide fresh linens, towels, coffee, tea, and basic essentials upon your arrival.
-You will have access to 2 bedrooms, and one upstairs loft with a futon that can be made into a bed. Each bedroom, and the loft, have their own bathroom, plus a half-bath is located near the kitchen off the laundry room. A spacious, modern, and pristine open-concept kitchen opens into a large dining area and comfortable living room, with a spiral staircase leading to the loft. Both floors boast incredibly spacious decks over-looking the entire city. A truly impressive panoramic view of the city hard to find anywhere else. One well-travelled guest we hosted here rated this spot in the top 5 he's been to in the world for the view alone! :)
Upon arrival, you will have the choice of street parking or use of the one car gravel driveway. There is a set of stairs leading to the verandah where you can use two entrance points.
As you enter the side entrance where the code lock is, you are greeted by a small entryway/laundry room, as well as a half bathroom. Continue on and you will enter the open concept kitchen, dining, and living space. The kitchen is spacious, and fully equipped with everything you may need for a basic meal. Just off the kitchen is a dining area for six. The living area features a wide selection of books, and flat screen TV. There is a second dining area for six just beyond the living room. You will love the floor to ceiling windows that wrap the living area, giving you one of the best views St. John's has to offer of the mouth of the harbour, the harbour, the Battery, and Downtown St. John's!
Also on the main level are two queen bedrooms, each with their own bathroom. One which has a standup shower and one with a tub/shower combination.
Climb the spiral staircase to be taken to the loft. This loft boasts more incredible views from the wrap-around floor to ceiling windows. There is a sofa bed and full bathroom on this level as well.
There are two area for enjoying the outdoors - both levels of the home have large patios!
>Bus: St. John's Metrobus operates several routes in the area.
>Taxi: available for convenient point-to-point transportation including the airport. Call or download the app to reserve.
>Walking: If the spots you're visiting are within walking distance, walking might be the most convenient option.
>Driving: While not required to explore the city, having a vehicle can be advantageous for visiting the outport communities surrounding St. John's.

Start your day off with an 8 minute walk down Battery Rd to the great Battery Café. Have a lovely cup of coffee and biscuit with a nice view!
One of the most historic sites in St. John's is just a trot away! A 22 minute walk(all up hill) or a 5 minute drive, you will arrive at Signal Hill! Enjoy the beautiful views of the Harbor & Atlantic ocean! Learn about the history of St. John's.
Within a 22 minute walk to Water Street, you will arrive at Harbourside Park! Enjoy the tranquility and peacefulness while taking in the views.
Continue down Water Street, and you will be able to shop all sorts of local boutiques, local gift shops, and have many options for different types of restaurants.
If you want to enjoy live music or night life, the famous George Street is a 28 minute walk away, or a 8 minute drive away!
