NEIGHBORHOOD
- The Sea Star is located in the lively and developing Sugar Sand neighborhood of Mexico Beach.
- Guests will appreciate the nearby quiet and uncrowded beaches of Bay County.
-Golf Cart Community. Boardwalk has 8 golf cart parking spaces for guest use.
- Please note that Sugar Sand Community does not permit street-side parking; however, communal overflow parking with 50+ spots, is available for guests.
- Sugar Sands is a golf cart-friendly community; however, only electric golf carts are permitted. Please ensure any golf cart used at the property complies with this guideline.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
- The guest accommodations can comfortably sleep up to 18 people.
- A strict minimum age requirement for renters is enforced.

- Your reservation includes $300 worth of beach and adventure gear rental! You will be able to shop for bikes, paddle boards, kayaks, beach chairs, umbrellas, or even beach carts. No need to find the rental company, your gear will be delivered to your beach house and will be waiting for your arrival.
- Renters must be at least 25 years old.
- Events that exceed the maximum number of guests or require supervision are not allowed.
- This is a non-smoking property.
- Indulge in a heated pool! Contact us to upgrade to a heated pool. Please note, pool heat will only raise the water temperature 10 degrees above the outside temperature.
- Bringing a pet? Please check with us on size and number limits for pets.

*The elevator is residential grade and may occasionally experience disruptions. Our staff will do all we can to repair any issues and get the elevator functional again. However, if an elevator repair tech/Company is needed repair times can extend several days due to our remote location. If you have someone in your party with mobility issues please plan accordingly as this amenity cannot be guaranteed.

Mexico Beach

The home was absolutely beautiful. Beds very comfortable. I feel like the cleaning fee you pay is not within the level of clean the home was in when we arrived. The floors were very dirty. Not sand but food crumbs etc. and one bedroom had not been cleaned and bedspread had food all over it. The garage was in disarray and the outside area were not clean and straightened. We cleaned every floor and washed the bedding on one bed. It’s frustrating to pay that amount of a cleaning fee and just arrive and it not be handled. Especially with the amount you pay for the rental itself. We also used the clubhouse pool one day and told in info we had access to clubhouse. My niece used code and went in and had a man tell her only homeowners have access. I called to verify to which we were told we absolutely did have access and the man came back out to tell us he was the property manager. The beach was beautiful and peaceful. As is Mexico Beach. No large commercialized buildings etc. Once all the construction is done it will be an awesome area. Lots of construction on every street with many nails and sharp things on street. We picked up as we were out walking. The construction was not disturbing or loud. We did also experience ants and fruit flies in house. I’m sure some of this comes from ongoing construction. Cape and Coast did send someone to spray outside. Cape and Coast has excellent customer service. Always very friendly and apologetic for issues and did try to handle quickly.

Not ready for primetime

Pros: This property has an awesome location. It is fairly close to the gulf with a private beach. One day it will be a great place to rent. Cons: However, everything is under construction except a couple of houses. Also, trash not picked up and a ton of flies downstairs making the outside kitchen unusable. The trash was ripped apart by gulls before picked up. The house was infested with drain flies that got into all our food. Arrived Sat., trash not picked up until Tues. Had an exterminator out twice, still had flies when we left. We lost a lot of food with the flies even in the refrigerator. Had to cover EVERYTHING. Throughout all floors including bathrooms. The house should not have been rented at this time. Dangerous construction traffic the entire street. Need to rent a golf cart but it is dangerous on the streets with the construction traffic. Entire street lined with construction trucks, debris, etc. Children could not be outside in the front at all. Back yard has beautiful pool but sand yard with construction debris still mixed in. Glass, wood, nails, and pieces of insulation throughout the yard. Since it is dirty sand, there is no way to keep sand from blowing into the pool. Impossible with toddlers as they cannot go into the yard at all. Despite the loss of food, the awfulness of dealing with a bug infestation and massive construction going on... no partial refund or benefit was offered to us. We paid full price for this mess.

We strive to provide a comfortable and enjoyable environment for all our guests, and it’s clear that we fell short of that goal in your case. Firstly, we are glad you appreciated the property's location and proximity to the Gulf with a private beach. We understand how frustrating and inconvenient the ongoing construction and the pest issues must have been. We did note the construction in the listing and provided pictures to ensure transparency, but we acknowledge that this does not alleviate the discomfort you experienced. Regarding the trash situation, we regret that the delay in the pickup by the local service provider and the subsequent issues with flies caused you such distress. While we cannot be at the property 24/7 to manage windblown trash, we did respond promptly to your requests. We came out several times to pick up the excess trash when the service provider missed their scheduled pickup and coordinated to provide extra trash cans for your use. We also had the home treated for the flies by a licensed pest control company and went a step further and the landscaper came out and treated the pine straw beds. Additionally, we raked the sand both before your arrival and during your stay to remove as much of the wind-blown debris as possible. It's unfortunate that despite our efforts, these measures were not enough to ensure a pleasant stay for you. We do want to emphasize that the pricing for these houses is currently 30% lower than in the completed section of the HOA due to the surrounding construction, which is now nearing completion. We hope this information provides some context for the situation. Once again, we deeply regret the inconvenience and frustration you experienced. Your feedback is invaluable, and we are committed to making improvements based on your experience. We hope you will consider staying with us again in the future, under better circumstances.
