The Live Oak Home: private area with song birds, wildlife and bright stars.
This home is in a quiet neighborhood, a short drive from downtown Salado. Perfect for a weekend get-a-way to spend time shopping, dining, playing golf and walking by the creek. Drink your morning coffee on the front porch, watch the birds and deer. The evenings provide a large view of the night sky and stars.
Came to town for an annual girlsâ trip. The house was amazing and beds were sooooo comfortable. Sat on the porch one evening and saw FIREFLIES!! It was so special because we hadnât seen any in years! Would definitely recommend staying here! Thanks for a wonderful stay.
The house was perfect for our quick weekend trip. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was stocked! Our dogs appreciated the toy box! Will stay again on our next trip.
Statues for the weekend for the Salado Scottish Festival. The home was nice and quaint and just a few minutes from downtown Salado. Really enjoyed my stay!
The large front porch was great for us to sit out and enjoy the quiet mornings and evenings. We saw a couple of deer.Beds were comfortable. It was only a short drive into town.
Kitchen was well stocked. It had everything we needed to make Christmas dinner. Quiet neighborhood and it wasnât very far from the things we wanted to do.
Property was cozy and home-like, including a well equipped kitchen and interesting books and games. We were in the area for thanksgiving with more family and cooked a few dushes...kitchen had everything, even measuring cups and spoons!!!
5 adults and one dog were quite comfortable and plenty of space to not feel crowded. Host was responsive and helpful! Thank you!
We enjoyed our stay. The place was neat and clean and because it was out from town a bit it was very quiet and private.
I would add that the beds are a little high so if you're older or have mobility limitations, this might be an issue for you to consider. The kitchen table was a perfect place for us to play games and eat meals.
We only had 2 cars, but the driveway could easily hold 3 cars if you've got a larger group.
Overall, thoroughly enjoyed our stay and definitely recommend it to others.
We really enjoyed our stay at Live Oak house. Very clean, comfy beds, and a great porch to watch the birds in a very quiet neighborhood. Had a great time in Salado and will be back! Thank you :)
I am a retired teacher of 31 years. Happily married with 3 grown children. I live anything outdoors and water related! I was born in the 60âs and experienced the best decade the 80âs. I graduated from UMHB and was a Kilgore Rangerette.
The neighborhood is older with a small community. The houses are spaced out often with 1-3 empty lots. This provides a lot of privacy. There are plenty of deer and birds that wander the property. Because there are no streetlights, the evening sky is free of light pollution and if clear you can see every constellation!
The house has a large porch to enjoy morning coffee. It is close enough to town yet away from the crowds on the weekends. There is plenty of area to park a trailer with ATVâs or a boat
