Stayed for 2 nights while in Daytona for a festival. Checkin in was easy and host responded to questions very fast. Not the easiest place to find when leaving a music festival at midnight but very comfortable and had no problem sleeping
Our family of 4 stayed for 4 nights. The space was perfect for our needs. We enjoyed walking around, petting the horses and giving them apples. We are looking forward to watching some of the training on our next stay!
We only stayed 1 night but it worked out great. Nice, clean, cozy place. The property is beautiful and the best part is being able to walk the property, greet and pet all the horses. It was perfect for getting us to DeLeon Springs and the Sugar Mill Pancake House the next morning. I donât know that we will ever be back to this area but if so we will definitely look to stay here again.
My husband, son and daughter in law stayed here for proximity to Daytona for the races. Overall the property was great. The ceiling is on the low side, so very tall people would not be well accommodated.
The property exceeded our expectations! Loved strolling around the property and enjoyed visiting with the horses. Beautiful equine facility. Our little cottage provided all we needed for our short stay, clean and nicely decorated. We enjoyed sitting out on the little patio area in the evening and listening to all the Florida night sounds.
My husband and I stayed here for the first night of our Florida adventure. Absolutely beautiful and peaceful. Everyone working with the horses were super nice and we were allowed to watch some of the training. We went for an evening walk and got to see & pat several horses in the pastures.
Beautiful horse facility and great cottage
Charming cottage on beautiful horse farm. Farm is expansive and travelers are encouraged to explore the grounds and interact with horses. Nice place to return to after visiting the greater Daytona/Volusia County area. I would give the property a â1â0 rating, but would give VRBO a â 2â because of their poor handling of my search for a property.
The cottage was perfect and has everything you would need. We didnât do any cooking as our purpose was just to sleep as our niece moved to the area. You can enjoy a bbq under the shaded tree and relax on a real horse ranch. Itâs the perfect location to really get to enjoy the area with day trips. You are minutes from De Leon Springs I canât guarantee you will get any younger but you surely will enjoy it and Sugar Mill make your own pancake experience is such a treat. Glad we found such a great spot when we need the extra space. Check it out as you wonât be disappointed. Thank you Jean for being a great host!
Small cottage for the 2 of us. Loved how quiet & private it was. The grounds were very nice. The price was amazing. A few minor issues: the tile floor needs mopped not just swept(made the mistake of walking around barefoot, noticed our feet were filthy, made sure we had slippers on after that), the couch needs replaced due to sinking cushions & uncomfortable, internet would be nice(virtually no channels available), master bedroom was very warm compaired to the rest of the place, & the shower door didn't seal properly- had to be sure a towel was there to catch all the water- thankfully I was able to find more towels in the closet. As stated, these were minor problems & I believe some of them can be corrected, we would most certainly stay here again.
Was in the area to work on an old fighter jet at the Deland airport. The place was in a great , quiet location. I began my day walking the horse farm, giving the horses apples, and carrots I bought at the local grocery store. Just a great way to start my day. The beds we cozy, water pressure was great, the place was overall nice. Upon initially arriving there was a bit of a musty closed up cottage type smell, but after opening a few windows, turning on the ac, it faded away. I would not have even mentioned it in this review, except I saw a few complaints about this, so I addressed it. If you are just open minded, open a few windows, itâs a total non issue. I will stay there again for sure on my next trip to the area.
We really enjoyed our stay at Jean's horse farm. The cottage is in a beautiful country setting and was very quiet and restful. The pool area was really nice and we enjoyed ending our night taking a dip. There is only a kitchenette, not really a full kitchen but it was adequate for our needs. The beds were comfortable, the only downside is that the air conditioner is in the main room and the bedrooms are blocked off from this room. The bedrooms are a little warm because the air can't get into them very well. I would suggest maybe an oscillating fan to put at the doorways to draw the air in. Both bedrooms do have ceiling fans so that helped a lot and we were able to sleep without a problem. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
