This charming 2 bedroom (4 beds), 2 bath, updated 1940s cottage is in the heart of the Deland, Florida Historic District. Sip your morning coffee in this quiet setting while rocking on the front porch. We’re just a few minutes from beautiful downtown Deland, awarded the “Best Small Town in Florida,” with its unique shops and antique stores. Eat at local restaurants and cafes with outdoor seating Our cottage is only 2 blocks from Stetson University.
All American Rowing Camp for Sculling on the St. John's River start Dec 30-Jan 03 and each week through February 2024

The updates to this home make it a great rental, with 2 bathrooms, modern amenities, and short distance to downtown. The owner was easy to work with and very hospitable.

Cute-Clean-Just Perfect!

I recently stayed here with a girlfriend as we had an event to attend at a nearby state park. This cottage has absolutely everything we needed from the kitchen to the laundry to the linens and even a couple things we had forgotten like Q-tips and Band-Aids! There were even camp chairs and a cooler! Renee was a wonderful host and even provided a vegetable steamer when I inquired if there happened to be one available or I could bring my own if needed
 If I ever need to travel to this area again and I hope I do, this is the place I will book again!

Absolutely Adorable

I have stayed in many vacation rentals in the past. I rank Blue Moon Cottage one of the highest. First time ever greeted with a huge snack tray, cold bottled water and personalized welcome note! Super clean with comfortable bedding and a cozy cottage atmosphere. Small enough for two and large enough for a family. Close to historical downtown with off the street parking carport. Deland has so many things to offer and is a great location. Close to Disney and Beaches. Great communication with host. Cant wait to return! and

Great customer service

We travel extensively and have never had a host supply items that Renee had readily available to us. From snacks to paper towels to first aid supplies.... she made our stay a breeze. Will definitely return.

Such A Cozy Spot

First of all have got to say this probably was one of the best customer service/greetings I’ve had yet, nice gift basket which was well needed of a day of riding on the motorcycle especially when having room for things is difficult enough to grab basic supplies, definitely hit the spot!! Will definitely return loved the location super quiet not far for motorcycle events in Daytona. Great experience all around!!! House was super cozy and bed was fantastic. Give a try for sure!

Nice Place

The property is very well maintained, very neat, clean and homey (Not super contemporary). Large space for 2-6 adults (Couples) to stay. Host is very considerate, left a welcome basket, water, tea and coffee. Neighborhood is very quiet, can put you off at first glance. Close to Stenson College Dorms. Short 5-6 block drive to DeLand Main Street. Has a carport and it came in handy because we were there for Bike Week, and it rained most of time. If you stay be kind and treat the property like you own, it. Rare find.

“Quiet and peaceful” as Renee, a responsive and friendly host described her home.

All went smoothly. We had the added bonus of a surprisingly major art show in Historic Downtown Deland that we were unaware of til we arrived, but we crammed in a wonderful half hour before the show closed at 5 pm. In terms of planned sleeping rooms, we intended to travel (from MIA) with my Mom who fell ill at last minute so it was my husband and I. The master bedroom had one very comfy queen bed. Another room had two less comfy twin beds. At the side entrance to the home (and open to the kitchen) was a cot that would not suffice for many adults. So plan accordingly (this may have been described on the site and I did not pay sufficient attention). I had a wonderful nite’s sleep in the comfy queen bed! Downtown Deland (maybe a mile or two away at most) was a pleasure. We were there for a memorial so only stayed one nite. We would have booked a hotel if not for my Mom, but we were pleased to have the home: the nite we arrived we invited a couple of family members over for pizza and a glass of wine while I baked cookies for the following day’s brunch. It was good to have a homeđŸŒș thank you Renee

The cottage was very clean and cozy. The host provided some snacks and bottled waters for us, which I thought was super nice. I will definitely stay there again when visiting Deland Fl.

Great attentive host made the stay and process even better. Very quiet street. Rode our bikes all around campus and downtown. Lots of good restaurants and bars downtown. Renee left snacks and bottled water for a nice welcome.

Best Host!!

Such a wonderful stay, Renee was very accommodating and we loved all the personal touches. She is very easy to reach and goes above and beyond. The house is wonderful! Very clean, looks just like the pictures. Great bed, wonderful AC and hot showers! The neighbors are super friendly and we loved walking our fur babies around the neighborhood. We couldn’t ask for more. Even our fur babies loved it! Close to everything you need. Again thank you Renee for being such a wonderful host, we can’t wait to return!!

A lovely little cottage

This is a charming cottage in a quiet part of DeLand, close to Stetson and a 15 minute walk to the “downtown” part of DeLand with restaurants and shops. We enjoyed our short stay.

This charming 2 bedroom, 2 bath 1940s cottage has been totally renovated and updated to provide you with a relaxing vacation for you and your family. We kept the beautiful hardwood floors that are original to the home. It's a quiet neighborhood and only blocks away from downtown Deland and Stetson University.
We have tried to provide you with everything you'll need to feel comfortable and at home here. If you need anything, please call your host, Renee.
