Fermette de Charme sereine parmi les arbres

Cette charmante maison borde les domaines de Nip 'n' Tuck Ferme et est situé à West Tisbury. Nos amis ont construit cette maison avec leur père et ont mis beaucoup d'amour et d'attention dans les détails: sols anciens en bois, rustique planchers de tuiles italiennes, portes artisanaux, poutres anciennes. Petit-déjeuner au comptoir de la cuisine, le déjeuner sur la véranda-in, barbecue sur la terrasse privée et dîner à une grande table de chêne antique. Ouvert, aéré tracé parfait pour socialiser. Chambres à l'étage ont des sièges de la fenêtre qui donne sur les champs de Nip 'n' Tuck Farm. La maison est à l'abri de la State Road de bois et se sent très privé avec sa propre cour. Passes de plage sont disponibles pour Cove Beach de Lambert, qui est l'une des plus belles plages de l'île et à seulement 2 miles. La maison est nichée au centre de l'île: le ferry Vineyard Haven est à seulement 10 minutes de là, les Chevaux de vol à Oak Bluffs est à 15 minutes, jusqu'à l'île L'épicerie de Cronig est de 1 min et Marché aux poissons de Larson Menemsha est de 14 minutes. Nous avons le wifi et une télévision à écran plat avec câble afin que vous puissiez rester connecté ou déconnecté à votre guise. ** Améliorations récentes pour 2019: climatisation, nouvelle toiture et vaste aménagement paysager ** Venez en profiter!

Great house and gracious host. The only reason I give it a 4 is because I was not aware linens were not provided until I received the check in handbook. I had to go and buy sheets/towels before the trip which was inconvenient considering options would be limited on the island.

Hi Aderonke, I know, it's a bit of a pain, sorry about that. Unfortunately, it's pretty standard for rentals on the Vineyard. That's why I have that info in the 'About this property' section on the main page, in the Acceptance notification you receive via the app and email at the time of booking, and in the Welcome Doc that you mention which I send out before your stay. Sorry if that info was missed. I'm totally open to hearing suggestions on how to call this out better. Glad you still enjoyed your stay though, it was great having you!

Perfect vacation

This house is exactly as described and exactly as shown in the pictures. It is clean and well-maintained, with all the amenities we could have wanted. The location is great - close enough to the ferry, but far enough to be quiet and calm. My kids especially loved making smores in the backyard. There was ample space for everyone. We cooked most of our meals and the house had everything we needed for cooking and baking. We would love to return.

Lovely and Quaint

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed calling this house our home for a week. It's spacious and has every kitchen utensil you can think of. Everything went smooth from the booking to the end of our stay. Andy was great at communicating and answering any and all questions in a timely fashion. We're definitely looking forward to future visits at this property.

Needs TLC

When we arrived, the house obviously had not been cleaned. The floors were dirty (our feet turned black after walking in bare feet). With a 15-month-old child who is on the floors constantly, we had issues even letting him play on the floor. The upstairs bathroom was filthy. My daughter and son-in-law used many baby wipes to get the area around the sink clean enough to use. When we contacted the owner, he did everything he could to rectify the problem. The cleaners came the next morning and did a great job. The house was cleaned very well and quickly too. The house looks like it once was a beautiful home, but it needs a lot of TLC. The front door barely closes because the top hinge is broken off the door jamb. There are big water stains on the kitchen ceiling--is the upstairs bathroom leaking into that area? There are smaller water stains on the living room ceiling too. The cabinet in the kitchen (described as the pantry in the captions below the photos) is missing one of the knobs on the door. There is a a cabinet with two doors and some drawers below these doors in the downstairs bedroom but the pull handle on one of the doors is missing, making it very difficult to open. The overhead light in the downstairs bathroom flickers when the light is on for more than 2-3 minutes. Is there an issue with the light bulb or the wiring? And the door to that bathroom is starting to fall apart. The whole side where the door knob is is getting very loose, like the glue is disintegrating.

Thanks for all your input Elaine, both directly via text and here on the site! As we discussed, this is the first time in 10yrs of working with our cleaning crew that they missed the correct date. I'm really glad that they could get over there so quickly to rectify. Very sorry for that though. As for the TLC line items, I totally agree! I'm inspecting the hinge on the door in two days. Not sure when it became damaged, but could also be just wear and tear. The water mark on the ceiling must have been an overflow at some point as well, although I would need to correct that in the off-season since it is too busy during the summer to get someone in there to inspect the plumbing and do any major work (or simply repaint if it was isolated). The doorknob is also an off-season item as well, since I would have to remove the entire door. My friends built this house with their dad and did all the woodwork (including the doors), which I absolutely love, but it means more is involved with repairs rather than just getting a replacement part at Home Depot. In fact, there was damage to the screen door which I brought in for repair in June and I'll only be picking it up next week! The island gets so swamped during the high season, repairs take quite a long time, so most of it needs to be during less busy times. I haven't heard any further input about the flickering light, although perhaps the cleaning crew just replaced the light bulb and that did the trick. Again, thanks so much and be well!

Lovely cabin for a holiday

Beautiful cabin as pictured! Perfect amount of space for 5 adults. We loved the backyard and large kitchen. A few small things: only 1 roll of toilet paper per person and 1 roll of paper towels for the stay. We had to seek out Kleenex but it worked just fine. I definitely recommend for anyone staying in the area.

Wonderful home!

We had a wonderful stay at Andy’s home. The house is spacious, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed grilling and meals on the screened in porch, our daughter loved the basement ping pong table, and it was helpful to have one bedroom on the ground floor. Highly recommended!

Fantastic Property!

My friends and I had a wonderful time on Andy’s property! We were on the island for a wedding and it was the perfect spot for our group. The outdoor area was perfect for daytime lounging and we loved eating meals in the closed-in porch off the kitchen. We also admired the antique furniture and had fun playing music on the record player. Overall, it was an excellent place and we’d highly recommend it for any group.

Quaint cottage with private yard

We enjoyed our brief time here, only two nights. It is nestled in the woods and very private. Communication with owner is easy and responsive. You’ll find everything you could need here except sheets and towels which is clearly noted in the listing. We are midwesterners and never experienced this before so renting linens for a short stay was an inconvenience but none the less, I would surely stay here again.

I’m hesitant to write a great review because I don’t want other people booking this place up! I’ve brought my family here two years in a row now, and it is really is the perfect spot. The house is comfy and has everything you need for a good Vineyard vacation: kitchen gear, outdoor shower, fire pit, big kitchen table for games and meals. Another Amazing Stay

This is our 3rd time staying here. What an amazing property. Set back from the road and it abuts a farm. House is clean and spacious. The new split AC system is totally an added bonus. Andy, the owner, is fantastic to work with. We will be back every year.

Great house

We had a lovely, comfortable weekend staying at Andy’s cottage. The place was cozy and Andy was very accommodating. We spent very little time at the house as we were visiting my sister & family, so spent all our time with her, but, we slept beautifully and enjoyed breakfast in the screened in porch.

Great getaway

We stayed for a rainy, miserable rainy day weekend, but there was plenty to do and the house was warm. Lots of nearby food options. Bring or rent your own sheets!
