Beautiful property and the house was decorated so modern. Very homey and clean. We were there only one night, but it was a great stop between Moab and Zion!
The space and furniture were comfortable and of good quality. Communication with the owner was easy and efficient. The backyard was very nice, but be aware that there is a (sweet) grey cat that seems to "own" it -- so people with cat allergies should be aware. We appreciated that the three beds are medium-soft and very comfortable and the towels were very fluffy and high quality. We missed having a drip coffeemaker, but the property does come with a french press and a Keurig (bring your own pods!)
Took our granddaughter to Bryce Canyon, Lower Calf Creek Falls and Capitol Reef National Park. House was just as advertised, even to the sweet cat who met us at the front door! Escalante is a quiet little town, but has a great pizza place-outfitters. And the Mercantile is good for coffee and breakfast. But the jewel is Kiva Koffeehouse on the way to Lower Calf Creek. Only suggestion is to have throws for the sofa for when we were watching TV. Oh, nice to have a book of instructions with info on TV. We had the best time! Could return!
This property was a great location between Bryce canyon and Capitol reef. Great place to stay. We wish we could have used the beautiful outdoor space. It was too cold in January.
Charming home. Everything you could possibly want. Exceptionally clean. So comfortable.
My son, two adult grandsons, one teenager and myself traveled from Phoenix area to attend a funeral. There was plenty of room. Beds were very comfortable. Nice backyard with patio and BBQ grill. Rocking chairs on the front porch. The entire home was spotless. Theres even a cabinet filled with games. We are considering a return to this home in late summer to enjoy some hikes and beautiful scenery.
Beautiful, clean home. Perfect place to stay in between Bryce & Capital Reef. Home has everything you need to relax after a day of hiking. Would absolutely stay here again.
This place was perfect for our needs. We were able to cook, play games, and spend quality time with loved ones. Close proximity to all the greatness of this area!
Clean comfortable property in the heart of Escalante. Checkin was a breeze and it was exactly what we needed for our group of 5 exploring the grand staircase NM.
We stayed 3 nights to explore the Bryce and Kodachrome park regions. The house was immaculate, had everything we needed, and we walked 2 blocks to The Outfitters for the best pizza a couple of nights. Warning..they're huge!
If we get back to this area, we'll definitely stay again. Thanks for a memorable leg of our journey from Seattle and back.
My family and I really enjoyed our stay at the Hole in the Rock Inn. Well stocked kitchen, nice patio space, a removed block away from downtown amenities, all the comforts for an outdoor adventure launching pad. Would highly recommend. Thank you!
This house was perfect! Well equipped kitchen including many basic spices, sugar, etc. Washer & dryer with detergent. Very quiet neighborhood! Loved the covered patio! SO RELAXING. Very private! Very small town but has several eateries and a grocery. Most activities seem to be some distance from town and/or more strenuous than we were prepared for. LOVED the drive to Boulder and the drive on Burr Trail! Long Canyon Slot at 11.2 miles on Burr Trail Road is a "do not miss" place! No sign for it.
Great communication with host. Heard from him a couple of days before arriving. Should have asked him for tv instructions, but we didn't need that much.
Overall our best stay on a 3 week Utah trip!
We needed somewhere to stay for one night in between Capitol Reef and Bryce. I found this place and decided to book, knowing nothing about the town of Escalante. When we were arriving in Escalante and approaching the home, we started to wonder if we had made a mistake. Donât expect well manicured neighborhoods. All of our doubts were put to rest when we entered the home. First of all, we were greeted by a neighborâs very friendly cat. Fortunately we are animal lovers and it didnât bother us. In fact our boys sat on the lovely front porch and petted him/her for a while later that evening. The home is very tastefully and modernly decorated, the finishes are well thought out, the beds very comfortable and the shower water pressure was great! The back yard was adorable although we didnât have time to enjoy it. We would absolutely stay here again if we are ever in Escalante!!
Nice accommodations - exactly met the listing. Check in process was seamless. Our only negative was the outside furniture was dusty/dirty so we were not able to utilize that space as we were only there one night. We would highly recommend this one and would rebook it if we are back out that way!
We are a couple of St. George, UT natives! We love hiking, biking, boating, and just about everything else outdoors. We like to set up our properties to be the ultimate relaxation destinations after long days playing hard!
Escalante is a hidden gem (though it is growing in popularity quite rapidly). The Boulder Mountains to the north provide a great summer retreat with the cool pine forest and various mountain lakes for kayaking and swimming. The desert to the south provides some of the most stunning hikes in America! We love Coyote Gultch and Spooky Canyon in particular!
Our property is situated walking distance from the restaurants in town on a large piece of land with a yard and a pasture. We have tons of covered patio space, and itâs very quiet and relaxing to just sit outside or look at the stars. We also love hot showers so we added an on demand water heater which has been amazing for unlimited hot water. We also have a large recliner sectional and TV for kicking back and watching movies at night.
