Off Grid Glamping Style Cabin. This cabin is located on 23 acres of private land and is backed by Monongahela National Forest. Is within hiking distance of Spruce Knob and Seneca Creek Backcountry. For your convenience there will be detailed trail maps located at the cabin as well. We also have a compost toilet located outside in separate enclosure. We have a compostable toilet that is clean and separate from the cabin.
The Crow's Nest was beautiful and very clean and peaceful! We spent a lot of time in front of the firepit in the very comfortable chairs and even watched a movie on the tv one night which was a fun extra added to the off-grid cabin. It wasn't overly sunny the few days we were there but the solar power held up for the duration of our stay. We'd absolutely stay there again!
This was a lovely retreat up in the mountains on the winding road to Spruce Knob. We enjoyed the grill and fire-pit very much! We were a little confused about the inverter for power which was off when we first arrived. My partner is familiar with the device and it was a simple push-button reset, but I wouldn't have been sure on my own. The wifi worked great, and thank you for the 'pro-tip' on where to get best service! Attending a class session wasn't what I *wanted* to do on vacation, but I'm glad I was able to do it by a cozy fire in such a beautiful place!! :-D
Cozy quiet place to get away and be near Seneca Rocks
Rustic but new, clean and comfortable place to stay that was very quiet and removed from only other rental along the gravel road. Outhouse was very clean, no bugs, and easy to use despite needing to go outside to the corner of the cabin. Hosts very responsive and helpful, would stay again. I would note that the Wifi is on the weaker side but I was able to do everything I needed.
Everything was just as advertised. Lovely little place to get away. Very quiet, no noise or light pollution. Lots of window, that made for a very nice breeze all night, and so many stars you could see from bed. Overall if you are looking for a rustic getaway, you would be hard pressed to find a better place.
Even though we did enjoy our stay a few things I think need noted for the next people who stay! There is a bad and problem, even without using the lights we did not have enough solar power for our two night stay, the WiFi does not work and not enough water is provided for a two night stay. The location itself is amazing the property is really neat but I would just come prepared with more power banks and do not expect any WiFi. Also bring an umbrella if itâs supposed to rain if you need to use the outhouse in the middle of the night!
