Bayview is a lovely home with 2 BR+office, and hot tub on the deck! New game room with TV, bar, poker, darts, yoga & kids corner. It has a 180 degree view of the Chesapeake Bay in Huntingtown, Md. Priv. beach 15 minute walk through woods on the historic Calvert Cliffs, which have fossils and sharks teeth! 2 queen beds, & 2 full baths with jetted tubs, it offers a brand new kitchen, living room and a massive 34' deck and 35' screened porch. Hunt for sharks teeth! Tesla Charger! DOG FRIENDLY
The space
The Bayview Cottage is a completely renovated small home away from home.with a magnificent view. American Bald Eagles and Osprey flying in front of you. DOG FRIENDLY ($150Fee)

Our guests have also all commented positively about the interior decoration and how well stocked we are with regards to kitchen utensils and supplies. All new equipment.

Guests have enjoyed the hot tub, but it does have limited use. It will NOT operate when temperatures drop below 45 degrees…Sorry about that….

Host was very easy to communicate with and was quick to respond. The house was furnished with everything you will need for thebstay and then a few extras. A lot of thought was put into this cottage regarding the comforts. The setting makes this place a little "gem".

Anniversary get away

It’s cozy, peaceful the view is amazing! Plenty to do on property and the surrounding area. Will definitely rent this cottage again. The owners did an amazing job!

This property is huge and full of wildlife. Beach is worth the walk to and from, also very private.

Wonderful Stay at the Bayview Cottage

We had a great stay at the Bayview Cottage. The place was as described. It was very clean and well maintained, with lots of extras. We had never been to this area before and loved it. The views from the deck were fantastic. We even could see the fireworks across the bay on the distant shore. There was also an abundane of wildlife to be seen in the area: deer, foxes, ospreys, and even several eagle sightings. Chip was very helpful and extremely responsive. We would highly recommend his place as a travel destination.

Bayview Cottage delivered the goods! The Cottage was well appointed and our group loved the view & star-filled sky from the deck. The hike to the beach was a special treat with wildlife abound. We thank Chip for his flexibility regarding our scheduling and look forward to returning in the fall!

A Magical Stay on the Bay!

My family and I were fortunate enough to be able to stay and have a wonderful experience here! I read people say the hike is worth it for the beach. Yes, of course the beach is worth it, but the hike itself fun and beautiful in the woods! The hosts were responsive and super friendly, although we rarely came across anyone at all other than the wildlife. We just can’t wait to go back for all of the sunrises and sunsets with the view, the humming birds, the fresh bay air! Need I go on?! Thank you so much Chip and Jane for sharing a slice of your Bayview Wonder! 💖

Beautiful and Peaceful and Special

This is a beautiful property and charming home. The view is wonderful, from the water to the green rolling hills. What a special treat to get to walk through the woods to the shore and find shark teeth and pretty rocks. Chip is such a nice fella. One can easily tell that he takes great care of this wonderful property and knows how special it truly is. While we very comfortably enjoyed privacy in the countryside, we were actually only a few miles from several good food and shopping options. Watching the sunrise each morning from the spacious deck is a must. The adorable porch is very inviting also. We travel with our two dogs and therefore we are super appreciative of those who allow us to respectfully bring our pets into their rental homes. Thanks, Chip!

I am from Baltimore but raised our family in Alexandria. This form has been in our family since 1795 and I grow up during the summers working on the farm and collecting shark teeth and fossils on the beach. I love sharing our farm with everyone. And happy to share as much information, as you are willing to put up with. We have also started to raise bees and they have four hives substantially far away from the cottage, so no fear.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We love the cottage in the farm because of the view, the wildlife, particularly bald eagles, and deer. We love the private beach, which is half mile walk away, but certainly close enough. And we love the quiet night and the sunrise and moonrise over the bay.

The views and wildlife, and yet you were still close enough to find some great local seafood
