I would give it 3.5 stars. There are many small repairs that need to be made. Also the owner needs to write out some instructions for operation of the TV's. they are very hard t tune in if you are not accustomed to making 4 or 5 steps to get them to turn on.

Nice house for what we needed it for. Difficulty communicating with House before and during stay. Poor responses and consideration. Was unaware a seperate company, ITrip, was involved. No fluctuation with check in times. Didn’t get much help with questions.

The house was very nice, accurate to the description & we enjoyed our stay there. The weather & the pool temps didn't cooperate but the neighborhood, resort, restaurants & beach access were amazing amenities. We would definitely visit again!

This rental is not managed by Vrbo but by iTrip. The beds in all 5 rooms were horrible like sleeping on a box spring. The comforters were so worn you could literally see through them if held up. One of our guest went to Walmart to purchase two pillows. The couches were so dirty we put towels down to even sit, the fridge shelves were missing or broken, the dishwasher must not work properly bc the tablets were still in the dispenser and not dissolved. The dishes were clearly dirty when we went to use them but thankfully we brought paper plates and forks so we didn’t have to utilize much of the kitchen utensils. Many of the tv remotes had no batteries. The toilet seats wear so old they all had such wear and tear. The expectation when renting a rental is that it is a rental and things won’t be perfect but for the price you spend they can replace the above to give a better experience overall. As for the location it was perfect walking distance to the pool and beach. You could walk across to some restaurants and to barefoot landing. We didn’t utilize the pool at our house we had 2 children with us and thought we’d get more use out of the pool but they loved the resort pool. Resort is open from 9-10 and much more kids activities at the resort. The resort staff were super nice and helpful. I typically don’t leave reviews but iTrip requests that if you won’t leave a 5 star review to please contact them first which I did not as I feel that people should be able to read truthful reviews

Recent stay

Great location. Very nice house, pool was great for kids. Liked the proximity to the beach. Only suggestion would be is that the beds were extremely firm a little to firm for our likings. But all in all great place, beautiful town will be back.

The location was awesome. We were about 25 minutes from the convention center for our cheer competition. Right across from Barefoot Landing which was perfect for food and entertainment. The house was a perfect fit for our four families. 5ish minute walk to the beach. The hot tubs were amazing for a late night relax. The indoor pool at the Resort was a plus for after our girls performed.

Definitely going back

Week stay

Place was nice and in good neighborhood. Easy walk to beach and pools at resort. Good amenities. Count and document number of keys and wristbands you have. We were given 3 keys and iTrip claimed they gave us 4 so we were charged a fee. Grill was very dirty and sliding door to pool didn't lock. Pool guy comes on Tuesday and Friday morning unannounced so was a bit awkward and inconvenient. Few cockroaches we found here and there. Overall decent experience and fun family vacation.

Spacious Retreat

Great Layout for multiple families or groups. Pool was a huge plus. The maintenance team was very responsive when I texted about some ducks that took up residence in the pool. Furniture and furnishings could use an update. Kitchen appliances were dated. Couches and beds uncomfortable. No plastic plates or cups for use on the patio near the pool. itrip office and check in/out process was SO MUCH BETTER than dealing with North Beach Plantation. You could probably get away without a rental car here.

Perfect Spring Break Home

This house was perfect for 8 adults during our week long vacation! The pictures are an accurate representation of the home. There were a few ‘quirks’ with the place if I had to list a few: we could never get the TV or WiFi to work (there was a management help number that we considered calling but those weren’t priorities during our family vacation!), the kitchen wasn’t super well stocked with cooking supplies (plenty of silverware, cups, plates, etc. but not a lot else bedsides a couple of pots and pans…so be prepared to buy something if you plan to cook!), there was a chair missing from the kitchen table so we had to pull a patio chair in to accommodate all 8 of us. Overall though, it was the PERFECT place for us all to stay during our beach vacation. We enjoyed playing Phase10 in the evenings and using the complimentary shuttle to the resort. Highly recommend this home!!

Beautiful home

I’m rating everything 5 stars as the house itself was wonderful. What I did not like is that there was a high daily charge to heat the swimming pool. We opted not to pay that exorbitant charge. When you are paying this kind of money you do expect certain amenities such as a heated pool. We couldn’t use it since the water was way too cold. The kids wouldn’t even use it. Also, there was one dish towel and no dish cloths in the kitchen.

Great property

The property was beautiful! The only downfall would be the need to hire a better cleaning crew or person. There was no comforter on the bed in the master bedroom “ glad I always bring my own”, there was food on the floor in the master bedroom , a big hair ball in the master bedroom outside of the shower laying on the base of the tub, slippers under the couch , a huge spider web running from the side of the couch to the end table and linen in the washing machine. I didn’t agree with the returning of the wristbands. We were on pins and needles worrying about the kids losing them because those $10.00 add up. Even though my grandson lost his. But over all we still enjoyed our stay!

Nice Rental

My family and I (8 people) stayed here two nights to attend a funeral. We also had extended family over for visiting. The house was plenty big enough to accommodate us all (18 people in all). Also lots of bathrooms was very nice. The decor was nice and beds were comfortable. The extra ice maker was awesome. We did not use the private pool but it was nice to have if we had wanted to. Having a garage was awesome as it rained most of the time we were there (although there was not a garage remote that we could find). Check-in and Check-out was easy. We were a little disappointed in the overall condition of the house for the price. Previous water damage on the floor in the downstairs half bath (had an odor because of it), toilet paper fixtures broken, walls a little dirty, trash receptacle outside was full before we ever got there, only kitchen trash can was a very small one (had to empty it MANY times), not enough basic cooking utensils (decent size frying pan, no can opener), surfaces in the kitchen were sticky when we got there.

Overall good with a few issues

Overall the property was and resort we're great. Our biggest complaints came with the kitchen supplies and grill. Honestly, the grill should be thrown out! Horrible condition with about 3 inches of grime underneath the grates. The brush that was included had mold on it. One of the reasons we went with a villa over the condos was the grill so we can have a cookout - really disappointing! We had to buy a frying pan because the ones they included I don't thing I would cook something for my dog! For a house that sleeps 12 I would have more utensils - we only have 8 forks provided. There were also multiple lightbulbs out that we replaced (they did have extras on site). Lastly, need to pay attention to high dusting! All light fixtures were caked with dust! Now, despite all I mentioned previously, it was still a nice property and a great resort. We loved the pool bar and all the amenities. Would I stay there again? Probably, but I would hope it would be a little cleaner!

Nice house but……

The house itself was exactly as pictured. Very nice. One of the negatives is that I don’t think this house is managed by North Beach Resort and Villas. I say that because inside the house there was thick dust on the light fixtures and ceiling fans. The major problem was roaches inside the house. When these issues were brought to the manager’s attention, I must say the response to correct the issues, was very prompt, so I appreciated that. The cleaning crew came in and did all that was requested. Pest control came and sprayed. The only drawback was that even though the property was treated inside and out for the roaches, there were still at least two or three spotted in the house each day out of 7 days. I think if all cracks in the house and garage were properly sealed and the house bombed with insecticide, it may fix the issue with the roaches. Probably would not stay at this particular property again because of the roaches. I know roaches are native to SC., but I have in the past stayed at two different properties that were managed by the resort and did not have these issues.

Disappointed in Cleanliness and Kitchen Equipment

Having checked in at 4 pm and obtaining our keys, we were surprised that cleaning crew was still inside the house. We waited until they left, but to our dismay we found food in the beds, candy and popcorn. We found chewing gum purposely stuck on lamps. We complained to the management, and cleaning crew came back. But upstairs bathroom smelled like urine. While we were there, we killed a half dozen cockroaches. We had to clean leaves out of the pool. That should have been done before our arrival. The kitchen silverware was lacking. We did not have nearly a set of 12. The Teflon frying pan was peeling, so we could not use it for eggs in the morning. They need to take inventory and stock the kitchen better. The vacuum cleaner was worthless. We all developed coughing and sneezing by the end of the week. On one of our last days, someone came to change the air filters. And someone came to clean the pool. It would have been nice if that had been done ahead of time. I feel sorry for the homeowner, because it is a lovely house, but it needs better maintenance. We were happy that the living quarters were roomy enough for our family so we could visit together. The kids enjoyed the pool. I feel I overpayed however due to the condition of the house.
